Rosario Dawson Born: May 9, 1979 NY, NY USA Height: 5'7" Ethnicity: Of Afro-Cuban, Irish & Native American decent Nickname: Rosie BIO: Rosario was one of those promising young stars who was literally "discovered" while sitting on the stoop of her Manhattan home, by director Larry Clark, who at the time was making the controversial documentary Kids, about the sexual exploits of inner city youth. He saw something in her as did Spike Lee when he cast her a few years later in his movie He Got Game starring Denzel Washington & former Milwaukee Buck, now Seattle Supersonic Star Ray Allen. Others roles followed in such films as Light it Up, Down to You, Sidewalks of New York, & grabbing the role in The Adventures of Pluto Nash with Eddie Murphy which the role was suppose to go to Halle Berry. She also had the lead as Valerie Brown in the movie Josie & the Pussycats. She also has many new roles in new movies such as "The Rundown" co-starring with the WWE's "The Rock" Duane Johnson. Alexander with Colin farrell, angelina jolie and directed by oliver stone. Sin City with Robert Rodriguez and an all-star cast and the House of 1000 corpses sequel: The Devils Rejects, so she is certainly being very busy. Rosario imo is the one of the most Beautiful and Multi-Talented actress' to ever surface in the business. She's a natural at acting with a beauty that can't match and you can bet that she will be around for a very long time....Maybe an Academy Award in the future? I'm betting on it.

UPDATE: I've just seen the alexander trailer (due out on November 5) no Rosario in the trailer but the film looks great. Check out the official website at www.alexanderthemovie.warnerbros.com I had recently saw a huge billboard promoting the film and it had rosario on the poster. The pic is shown in the filmography page. Rosario is also filming a film called 'Vinyl' Due out next year. It Centers on the women behind a male rock n roll band that is on the verge of signing a successful record deal. It co-stars Thora Birch, Marla Sokoloff, Shane West, Anna Faris & Dominique Swain. Rosario has been cast for a role in 'Sin City' based on the popular comic book series by creator Frank Miller. It has a great cast and with Robert Rodriguez (Desperado, Spy Kids trilogy) directing the film, I'm sure it's going to be a hit. Rosario is also changed from brunette to blonde as seen in the photos below. You can also pick up the current issue of Complex magazine which has the lovely rosario on the cover, looking very sexy and sporting her new blonde due.
