The fastest FAQ in the galaxy...

Q: Is this an official or sanctioned site?

A: No. Both myself and this site are in no way related to, or affilliated with Lucasfilm, George Lucas, or any of his holdings. The material presented here is for informational and entertainment purposes only, and no infringement of copyrights or intellectual property is implied or intended.

Q: Can I build a real light sabre?

A: No. While you can make a light sabre that LOOKS and SOUNDS like the ones in the movies, it will not work as they appear to in the movies. In other words, the blades will be made of a real solid material, not light, energy, or a particle beam, and it will not cut anything. Unfortunately, the technology doesn't currently exist, and possibly never will. Remember, as cool as Lucas' creations are, they're still fictional.

And finally:

Q: Can you build a light sabre for me?

A: Probably not. While it's possible, it would be extremely inconvenient. To factor in my time and limit the demand for my services, I'd have to charge $50 or more. Seriously. Once you received your $50+ light sabre, you may be disappointed. "I could've built this myself!" will likely be the first words from your mouth, and I wouldn't blame you.

But THAT'S the purpose of this page...

MISSION STATEMENT

Or in less fancy terms, the purpose of this page, is to provide information relating to the construction of custom light sabres. What I mean by "custom", is sabres that may be inspied by, but are not exact replicas of the sabres depicted in the films.

If you wish to create an exact replica, this may not be the ideal place to look. While I may detail many useful techniques for assembling your replica, other fine sites likely will provide more useful information to acheive your goal.

If you have any questions, comments, insults, or still want me to build you a sabre (and want to know where to send the check), just e-mail me at MDChubb@webtv.net.
