Today my daughter brought her husband's dad over to our home for dinner. During a conversation he related that once, during a camping trip, he and his wife awoke early in the morning and glanced outside of their tent.
He said the field around the tent was full of HUGE, STRANGE-LOOKING RABBITS that he had never seen before or since.
After they left, I checked my e-mail and received your instructions to receivers to click on the PROJECT WONDERLAND site. (This was the monthly select e-mailing of our August newsletter done early this evening -- Harold Egeln)
I did and was surprised to read about STRANGE RABBITS!
"When the red, red robin comes bob-bobin' along... Get up you sleepyhead!...." from an old upbeat song about a ROBIN and WAKING UP to LIFE.

New York City, Wednesday, September 1, 2004 -- Shortly before midnight, I noticed famous science fiction writer Philip K. Dick's book, "The VALIS TRIOLOGY" among the many books on a bookcase behind my bed.
On a whim, I took the book down.
Inside the book there is a bookmark near the end. I open the page and on the topmost of the bookmarked page I noticed this sentence: "When his last realistic attempt of this period, "HUMPTY DUMPTY IN OAKLAND"....
An instant ALICE IN WONDERLAND and THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS CONNECTION, specifically to HUMPTY DUMPTY who happened to appear on THE WALL in the movie "A.I." scene with ALICE and in connection with the "Adventures of ROBIN HOOD" book. I realized that I must have previously, on purpose perhaps, bookmarked the page, using a Stamford, CONNECTICUT ticket stub from a trip I took on there on August 4, 2003.
THE "VALIS"-ROBIN ASSOCIATION
Then I noticed that this edition of Dick's book, published by the Book-of-the-Month Club 14 years ago in 1990, includes an Afterword, in which the "HUMPTY DUMPTY in OAKLAND" quote appears, by Kim Stanley ROBINson!!! That gives us our neat ROBIN connection with all the associations we recently reported!!!
Say what? Why is this SYNC-nificant?
We have mentioned PHILIP K. DICK, who lived from 1928 to 1982 when he died of a stroke, and his VALIS books before in context with our "adventures."
What is VALIS and why this cool SYNC RIGHT NOW? At the beginning of the first book of THE VALIS TRIOLOGY, called "VALIS," there is this defination:
"VALIS (acronym of Vast Living Intelligence System from an American film): A perturbation in the reality field in which a spontaneous self-monitoring negentropic vortex is formed, tending progressively to subsome and incorporate its environment into arrangements of information. Characterized by quasi-consciousness, purpose, intelligence, growth and an armillary coherence. -- Great Soviet Dictionary, Sixth Editon, 1992"
Now, the seed of the idea of VALIS came suddenly and unexpectedly to Philip Dick in 1974, as ROBINson writes in the afterword: "Sometime in early 1974 Dick experienced a PINK beam going off like a flashbulb in his head..."
At the moment I read this, I said, "Aha! A PINK FLOYD association!?!?"
ROBINson continues: "He quickly assigned the event mystical values, and spent many hours of the rest of his life trying to make an explanation for the event that would satisfy him that would take it out of the realm of the unknown or inexplicable. As a highly imaginative man, deeply interested in the nature of reality, and in metaphysical explanations for it, he came up with a lot of them."
Eventually, Robinson writes, Dick's explanations, titled Exegesis, led to the VALIS concept and the books, "VALIS," "The Divine Invasion" and "The Transmigration of Timothy Archer" in the triology. In "VALIS" the chief character, Horselover Fat, Dick's novelized alter ego, recounts a similar mystical event.
There are mentions of SYNCHRONICITY in "VALIS" and their incredibly subtle, sublime power such as this involving the mystery of a telegram the main character, sci-fi writer Horselover Fat gets reading simply "KING FELIX," which meant nothing for a long time. Then one day he's watching TV, choosing to watch Saturday morning children's programs for some reason, and.....
"The TV station had run an ad for a supermarket chain; on the screen the words FOOD KING appeared----and then they cut instantly, rushing their film along as fast as possible; what came next was a Felix the Cat cartoon, an old black-and-white cartoon. One moment FOOD KING appeared on the screen and then almost instantly the words----also in huge letters---- FELIX THE CAT.
"There it had been, the juxtaposed cypher, and in the proper order:
KING FELIX
"But you would only pick it up subliminally.... But I had seen it and I knew who it referred to. It must be only SYNCHRONICITY (our emphasis here), as Jung calls it, I thought. Coincidence, without intent.
"Or had the signal gone out? Out over the airwaves by one of the largest TV stations in the world, NBC's Los Angeles outlet, reaching many thousands of children who with this split-second information which could be processed by the right hemisphere of their brains" received and stored and perhaps decoded, below the threshold of consciousness where many things lay slumbering and stored.... It would have to be VALIS itself responsible, if anything had arranged the juxaposition intentionally, VALIS which itself was information.
"Maybe I had seen VALIS just now, riding a commercial and then a kids' cartoon.
"The message had been sent out again, I said to myself."
Then, shortly afterwards, another synchronicity occurs and Fat says:
"But did I see consciously two quick messages fired off by VALIS in rapid succession, intended to strike us subliminally, one message really, telling us that the TIME had come? I don't know what to think...." (quotes from pages 225-226)
This, written over 25 years ago, seems all too familiar to us here, with the key words: KING. SYNCHRONICITY. SIGNAL. MESSAGE. INFORMATION. CARTOONS. TIME. And how it was all "arranged" and "presented."

And there's also "that RABBIT" mention. Telling about Fat's "three-eyed creatures," a good friend, Kevin, says that it reminds him of a Buddha and The Third Eye more than a strange alien creature, and that Fat has become "a Buddha," with all his hype. "He (Fat) considers himself the hawk and the hype THE RABBIT," speaking of Fat's lengthy metaphysical journal or "exegesis." (page 122)
At the end of "VALIS" there is a lengthy Appendix caled "Tractates: Crytica Scritura" with 50 passages of the Exegesis. Here we quote a few relating to quantum information as we understand it today, such as in "The Holographic Universe" as the late Michael Talbot wrote in his wonderful book over a decade ago, and David Deutsch does today in his "Fabric of Reality" book:.
"14. The universe is information and we are stationary in it, not three-dimensional and not in space or time. The information fed to us hypostatizes into the phenomenal world."
"30. The phenomenal world does not exist; it is a hypostasis of the information processed by the Mind."
"31. We hypostatize information into objects. Rearrangement of objects is change in the content of information; the message has changed. This is the language which we have lost the ability to read. We ourselves are part of this language; changes in us are changes in the content of the information. We, ourselves, are information-rich; information enters us, is processed and then is projected outward once more, now in an altered form. We are not aware of doing this, that in fact this is all we are doing."
"44. Since the universe is actually composed of information, then it can be said that information will save us. This is the saving grace 'gnosis' which the Gnostics sought."
And now we travel from VALIS to VINELAND via the Quantum Road that took HUMPTY DUMPTY from Wonderland to Oakland, a gentle fall off my bedpost book shelf by my own hand.....
THE "VINELAND"-ROBIN CONNECTION
However, after finding Philip Dick's "sync" references in VALIS, on a whm, I pulled out another huge volume that was next to the TRIOLOGY, "VINELAND" by reclusive and publicity shy author Thomas Pynchon (author of "GRAVITY's RAINBOW," the 1973 novel about the V-2 ROCKETS and the slave labor camps connected with their launch site construction, "The Crying of Lot 49" in 1966, "V" in 1963 and "Slow Learner"), not expecting to find any references to space, UFO, rabbtis nor syncs.
Aha, you may have guessed, did you?
The first page I open to is 383 and I glimpsed these words: "Hell... UFO stories... UFO elation." The HELL associaton tells more of a long-lost, nearly forgotten UNDERGROUND with possible OUTER SPACE connections, and, of course, this associates with ANDERS VON BERGEN's "IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING..." account of August 16, 2004 about Underground legends. Awesome!!! WOW!!!
There is also in "Vineland" on page 377 the words "suspected UFO involvement" with one of the characters, plus UFO word mentions on pages 90 and 222. But where's our famous RABBIT?
By inference, on "Vineland's" very first page is this reference: "With enough Nestle's Quik on top..." Nestle's Quik is now called NESQUIK with its popular symbol/mascot of the NESQUIK BUNNY.
There's a more specific reference in "Vineland" to what appears to be a jet-airliner's close encounter with a "UFO" between air terminals or a lounge made like an airplane (the Cosmic Pineapple) on pages 63 and 64 which I briefly quote:
"Zoyd had been hearing rumors since the first Cosmic Pineapple Enccounter... Aircraft had came come alongside and matched course and speed exactly to those of the jet, hung there, fifty feet away, windowless, almost invisible, sometimes for hours. 'UFOs?' 'Not ---' she hesitated... 'what we'd call a UFO."
Then there's a description of the jet's flimpsy construction compared to the "UFO's": "an aluminum shell dainty as a ROBIN's egg to the other, which was solid, smaller, of hgher mass and speed. As Gretchen had foretold, not exactly a UFO."
Suddenly, unexpectedly we get another ROBIN-UFO SYNC. How can this keep happening? It's an Information Universe!!! As Thomas Pynchon (it could be "Synchon," almost) has written in his books: "EVERYTHING'S CONNECTED," which describes the associations that he makes in his wonderfully constructed books, sort of a Po Logic stream.
(By the way, in the low-budget 1954 British sci-fi movie "Stranger From Venus" (or "Immediate Disaster") the innkeeper's daughter is named Gretchen, like "Vineland's" Gretchen. The Venusian ambassador comes to the inn in a screenplay written by the late Desmond Leslie, who actually wrote contactee Gerge Adamski's books "Flying Saucers Have Landed" and "Inside the Spaceships" in the mid-1950s. As Pynchon might say, "EVERYTHING'S CONNECTED.")
All this happened with "VALIS" and "VINELAND" around midnight before I went to sleep, filled as usual with amazing vivid and lucid DREAMS as my "Captain Midnight" persona took flight into Dreamland.
As the old song goes: "When the red, red ROBIN comes bob-bobin' along, singing it's old sweet song.... Get up you sleepy head! Get up out of bed! Live, love, laugh, and be happy!"
Then, later today as I was having a short "take five" nap, I heard a crash in my place. My large homespun HUMPTY-DUMPTY toy had fallen once again from its Wonderland perch atop a Wall of decorative Danish Butter Cookies tin containers.
The day ends, as it began, with Humpty Dumpty from Through the Looking Glass, on both sides of the mirror.
"Everything's connected," says Thomas Pynchon.
From one of the last paragraphs of "VALIS": "'Look where you least expect to find it,' Kevin had told Fat one time..." (Which we can say of SETI's searches "out there" as well as our own syncs!)
And from the last paragraph of "VALIS" Philip Dick's persona says: "My search kept me at home. I sat before the TV set in my living room, I sat; I waited; I watched; I kept myself awake. As we had been told, originally, long ago, to do; I kept my commission."

Just over an hour after first entering the above account, while still in an uncompleted form, and after I went out on errands, (getting away from the rabbit-UFO stuff, etc.) and to buy newspapers, when I returned home I saw on the front page on the what's "INSIDE" section of The New York Times" (NYT) an item about "3 Planets Discovered," with this blurb:
"Astronomers have discovered three planets, orbiting distant stars, that are much smaller than any previously detected. The discovery is considered an encouraging sign that planets are plentiful and varied in the galaxy. PAGE A17."
I open the newspaper, but first I just happen to open not to Page A17 but to Page A14, the first page of the "National Report." And the feature story on that page is:
"With Scraggly Habitat Disappearing, So Is a RABBIT."
Flabberghasted, with my heart racing, I note that the subheadline reads: "SKYROCKETING real estate sales do not bode well for a RABBIT that is losing its cover."(all words in caps our emphasis).
The story is about the attempts of a University of New Hampshire ecology professor's drive to save the New England Cottontail Rabbit, with photos of the professor and a rabbit. "BUNNY On The Brink" is the headline story in one newspaper, "The Sunday Citizen of Dover and Laconia, N.H.", the TIMES article reports.
Then I flip the page to Page A17, with the story I was actually looking for (but finding the RABBIT feature story by SERENIPITY first). The headline there reads:
"3 Planets Are Found Close in Size to Earth, Making Scientists Think 'LIFE'" by TIMES Science Reporter Dennis Overbye.
At that very moment, within a minute of seeing the RABBIT article, on a TV commercial during a break in "The Young & The Restless" soap opera I hear the words: "THINK SPACESHIPS." It was a children's commercial featuring BUZZ LIGHTYEAR underpants. "This is too much! Enough already!" I muttered outloud, with a grin.
All of the previous 130 plus exo-solar planets, or exo-planets, as they are called, are gas giants like Jupiter or Saturn, usually orbiting their suns within only a few million miles. They are called "Hot Jupiters."
But these newly found three icy giants are more like Neptune, with one of the three in a more distant orbit around the stars Gliese 436, Cancri 55 and mu Arae, making astronomers call them possible "super-Earths," if made of iron and rock.
"We're on our way to finding the first extra-solar planet Earth, and it's an exciting road to be on," astronomer Dr. Barbara McArthur of the University of Texas is quoted by The Times.
And so it goes....

New York City and England, Wednesday, September 1, 2004 --- An astounding discovery of our connections with RABBITS, ALICE, WONDERLAND, UFOs, KING ARTHUR, THE WALL, GARDEN etc. has just been uncovered through Gary's research in England.
He looked at Dr. John E. Mack's 1994 book "ABDUCTION: HUMAN ENCOUNTERS WITH ALIENS" and found meaningful associations to our "WOW! Contact" in Chapter 15: "ARTHUR: A VOLUNTARY ABDUCTEE."
BACKGROUND: MEETING DR. MACK
It was through this book that S.P.A.C.E. made contact with Dr. Mack in 1994. I was given the book on APRIL 1st, 1994 -- which happens to be APRIL FOOL'S DAY, the day of our TRICKSTER/
The wonderfully kind person who gave me the book as a gift, had a SYNCHRONICITY when she opened her own copy of it while riding home on a subway TRAIN. The book was in a clear wrapper, so she took that off. Inside she discovered, to her puzzlement, a pressed ROSE PETAL between the book's pages, which was part of a series of FLOWER synchronicities at the time. The Collision Theory ensemble incorporated scatterings of ROSE PETALS in their 2001 play "THE ABDUCTION PROJECT" referring to our ROSE synchronicities of the 1990s.
I wrote a review of "ABDUCTION" in our "S.P.A.C.E. NEWSLETTER," back then in 1994 in a monthly print edition, when the RABBIT PLUS connections discovered now by Gary meant nothing to me. We met Dr. Mack a few times (first after a taping of "The Charlie ROSE Show" at Channel 13 PBS-TV studios), and invited him to our private monthly support group meeting in January 1995, attracting over 60 people.
THE RELEVENT "ARTHUR PASSAGES"
Now, with Gary's study of the "ARTHUR" chapter, he noted these passages with RABBITS, and even an "ALICE":
*** "Arthur, like a contemporary St. Francis, would communicate with animals, including porcupines, woodchucks, RABBITS, and birds. To illustrate this he told a story of what took place on his ex-wife's farm." (NOTE: We learn on page 372 that her name is "ALICE) "She had many RABBITS on the farm and they trained RABBITS to be affectionate by lying down on the ground 'with your chin on the floor'" at that height the RABBITS would not be afraid of human beings. They would be 'incredibly quiet,' and the RABBITS would grow curious and, come closer, and 'let you scratch their head'."
"RABBITS, ARTHUR said, have a muscle behind their ears which they cannot reach..." Arthur describes how to scratch this area and the rabbits gain trust of the person scratching it. "...it;s a state of zuz," Arthur said, and creates a bond.
"ARTHUR told this story...as a kind of an analogy to illustrate how to communicate with alien beings. 'The way you communicate with these beings is telepathically, but the only way that you can achieve that telepathy is by eliminating fear. The fear will block it." RABBITS and forming a RELATIONSHIP with them shows the way, ARTHUR explains. --- (pages 370-371)
*** Describing "little light beings" during an encounter, "ARTHUR noticed: 'They're discreet,' but 'their arms are always touching each other...It's like a bunch of RABBITS. They huddle like RABBITS." (page 379) (NOTE: In Spielberg's "A,I," movie the advanced Artifical Intelligences touch one another to share information and images.)
*** "Even the associations with the BUNNIES on ALICE'S Farm and the perception of the light beings as 'BUNNIES' or the relationship between how to 'zuz' a BUNNY or open up to an ALIEN, seem to be organic linkages, closer or more intrinisic somehow more than analogies." (page 386)
Dr. Mack learns that ARTHUR (if that's his real name, but it doesn't matter) is involved in environmentally safe and sustainable businesses, perhaps provoked by his "voluntary contact" with "aliens."
What this precisely means, is how we have related to the "RABBIT" syncs and images presented to us through the "WOW! Contact" and how that relationship by a form of "ZUZZING" has unfolded over the last four years. (Note our previous mention of the "BUZZ LIGHTYEAR" TV commercial isync in the previous account here.)
I once asked Dr. Mack about synchronicity, and he replied that he experiences and hears of so many that they are an accepted part of his everyday life now. What he uncovered in his one interview with ARTHUR a decade ago is of vital importance to this Contact.
Also, the very TIMELY mention, in Thursday's New York Times article, of a Dr. Barbara McARTHUR in connection with the discoveries of the three "super-Earths" around other stars is an ASSOCIATION of INFORMATION which "MEANS SOMETHING."
There's been a REASON for the recent ARTHUR SYNCS, and these ARTHUR CLUES and RIDDLES are showing us "A MESSAGE." And with the ROBIN SYNCS, we seems to be getting CLUES and RIDDLES pointing to another or cross-referencing "MESSAGE."
"THIS MEANS SOMETHING," as Lacombe said in the "Close Encounters" movie.
(Just as I finished the first draft of this account, LLOYD MOSS on the New York Times Classical Music WQXR radio station announced a report on the ARTHUR Ashe U.S. Open Tennis games in Forest Hills, and one of the players mentioned is named ROBIN. Tennis anyone? If there's a synchronicity, it's a match!)

New York City, Friday, September 3, 2004 -- Making the rounds on the Internet and in the SETI UFO communities is a story in the current issue of the "New Scientist" magazine about a possible candidate extraterrestrial signal from a thousand miles away.
Named SHGb02+14a, it is located between the constellations Aries and Pices, with no known special star location.
It was found through the SETI@Home Search, and has been detected three times (each briefly over the years for a total less than one minute), with the short repeating signal making it a "candidate" for a true "WOW!" interstellar radio beacon. If true, it may mean that some civilzation at about Earth's techno-stage may have a "Signal Complex"!?
"Bacon not beacon" may be the answer, with questions being raised that the signal may have been "cooked up" suspiciously by someone trying to fool SETI@Home set receivers... or through a computer error/glitch.... or by some unknown natural source.
Pulsars were discovered by what was at first glance believed to be an ET signal, making The New York Times front page back in 1967 -- I still have that article!
This SNGb02+14 "signal" was first reported in the "New Scientist" magazine in early 2003. Then it hit the news again on this Sept, 1 with a report that the gargantuan radio telescope at Arecibo in Puerto Rico took a gander at it in March 2003. The third detected "signal" was stronger than the first two beeps.
That's what caught astronmers' attention, such as Eric Korpela, (who may be of Finnish orgin, Anders von Bergen noted), who thinks that the signal could be "the real McCoy." (By the way, the SETI@Home Project Director is David ANDERSon.)
The signal is in the "magic" 1420 megahertz microwave range, the "Water Hole" mark of hydrogen in which ET radio or TV signals are expected to be found, another indicator in its favor.
Doubts and questions are being raised in the SETI community, as any such signal would face the strictest tests and scrunity, including by SETI Institute Director Seth Shostak, as he reports in an article below.
BEAMING-UP "WESLEY CRUSHER'S" SIGNAL
While searching the Web for more info on this "signal" and views on it, through a SERENDIPITY via our own SYNCHRONICITY Groove, we discovered that actor WIL WHEATON, who played Wesley Crusher on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (a role model on the young Gene Roddenberry which Wheaton played superbly, making for many fans, including me!), has a Fan-Tastic WEBLOG!!
The current entry mentions Wheaton's interest in this candidate SIGNAL which is stirring pro and con controversy. Thus, in discovering a "signal" we have the pleasure of stumbling upon Wheaton's wonderful weblog, which includes his account of the Shining Tribute Diner to James "SCOTTY" Doohan at a recent Star Trek Gala Convention with original cast members plus Moonwalker Neal Armstrong!!!

Friday, September 3, 2004 -- "Sorry, E.T., but Parcel Post May Beat Phoning Home," reads the headline in yesterday's New York Times story (Sept. 2) by science writer Dennis Overbye on page A20.
The article is about the "Dear E.T..." feature cover story in the new Sept. 2 issue of "Nature: the International Weekly Journal of Science." (on link below).
Ironically and "sync-nificantly," almost immediately prior to seeing this news article, I noticed a Times feature story on page G8 in its "Circuits" computer section with this headline covering the entire top of the page:
"When E-Mail Points the Way Down the Rabbit Hole" by Kirk Johnson.
ET PO RABBITS, and only a day after the Times story about efforts to save the New England cottontail RABBIT three pages away from the announcement of the newly discovered three "super-Earth" or "Neptune-like" sized planets orbiting three different stars!!! That's an UNUSUAL and RARE juxitoposition!!!
And, adding to the mix, both of today's stories deal directly with MODES of COMMUNICATION ("E-Mail" and "Parcel Post").
Overbye's article begins with noting the now 44 years of fruitlessly awaiting a "Howdy" signal from ET ever since Frank Drake pointed his Greenbank radio telescopes at a couple of stars in 1960 in "Project OZMA," the start of modern SETI efforts.
But it may come in another way, as the Times article refers to the current issue of "New Scientist' and its cover feature story "Dear E.T..." by Dr. Christopher Rose, (our old "Rose Sync" Redeux) a Rutgers University electrical engineeirng and computer science professor, and Dr. Gregory Wright, a physicist at Antipodes in Fair Haven, New Jersey.
"Now, however, it appears that E.T. might be better off using snail mail," Overbye writes. "According to new calculations by a physicist and electrical engineer today in the journal Nature, it is enormously more efficient to send a long message as a physical package, a cosmic FedEx, than as radio signals or laser pulses."
The two scientists say that, writes Overbye, "searchers for extraterrestial intelligence should pay more attention to how messages could be inscribed and delivered and where they might be found." Oh, boy, do we agree!
Rose and Wright in their New Scientist article say: "Our results suggest that carefully searching our OWN PLANETARY BACKYARD may be as likely to reveal evidence of extraterrestrials as studying distant stars through telescopes."
Sometimes at his presentations UFO stealth encounter researcher Budd Hopkins will show the audience, to his glee and to their delight, a photograph of a model observatory with a model flying saucer which has crashed into the astronomers' telescope!
"They're here!" Not "Out There."
Anyway, in the "Nature" article accompanying the main article, Overbye notes, Dr. Woodruff Sullivan, noting that the idea by Rose and Wright is not entirely new, except that they estimate the costs of ETs sending infomation for the first time.
Of Sullivan's article, Overbye wirites that Sullivan "compared the notion of a MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE left as a calling card by aliens in "2001: A Space Odyssey."
WONDERLAND'S "CALLING CARDS" ARE HERE!
Rather than a solid object like the 1968 movie's monolith, our ongoing "WOW! Contact" consists of an INFORMATIONIAL flow, powered by synchronicities with related UFO sightings, close encounters, dreams and incidents of "High Strangeness" PACKAGED in the "Alice In Wonderland'Looking-Glass" theme with the Trickster Rabbit archetype at play.
It is more COSMIC E-MAIL on an unfantomable living "QUANTUM INTERNET" than "ET SNAIL MAIL."
However, it appears that Rose and Wright are on the right bunny trail. Overbye describes the problem of shrinking digital photos to send them efficiently via e-mail. "It would be much easier," he writes, "to drive a truck of photo albums across town or put them in an overnight-mail box than to go through the process of scanning and shrinking each photo."
And we are getting a type of "photos" from those albums, which can appear as UFOs (they're really "the trucks") and Rabbits, Dreams, Close Encounters, Synchronicities, Telepathy, etc.....
SETI veterans, he adds, are "bemused" by the Rose-Wright paper, such as famed SETI pioneer Dr. Paul Horowitz of Harvard who would not trade nor shutter his radio telescpe for "a butterfly net." The New Scientist article does not advocate doing away with radio telescopes, only to consider SETI alternatives.
But through "nanotechnology"-type technology very tiny nano-probes with zillions of bits of information could be dispatched through space to our "planetary backyard." Rose and Wright argue it would be cheaper to send such an "INFORMATION PACKAGE."
(As a young boy I sometimes, while fascinated by watching dust particles in a stream of sunlight through a window, I imagined alien spaceships the size of a dust particle among all the regular dust!!!
Now, Walt WILLIAMS, who contacted us on June 12, 2000 (the very day of Gary's "WOW!" "Triangle Insight" which opened our "Contact") maintains an extensive science website on SETV, which is devoted to the idea of interstellar probes in our solar system. Scientist Dr. Scott Stride also has done extensive studies on this concept, and has kept a website on this.
Also, Professor Emeritus Allen Tough of the University of Toronto in Canada, and a SETI Institute leader, has issued "An Invitation To E.T." to Contact Earth through the Internet system, perhaps by e-mail.
Add to it the countless UFO sightings, close encounters and related mysterious incidents, along with dreams, synchronicities, paranormal phenomena, telepathy, etc., and we have abdundant evidence of "INFORMATION PACKAGES" present here and now, open to various interpretations.
Our "WOW" Contact seems to be tapped into a COSMIC NOETIC INTERNET, which could be called a "Noosphere" (after theologician Teilhard deChardin's "Omega Point" concept) or "Overmind" or "VALIS" (Philip Dick's "Vast Active Living Intelligence System") or "Earth Synchronicity Control" as named by dolphin researcher John Lily in his autobiography.
"Everything connects," writes novelist Thomas Pynchon in his books, which display those connections.
DOWNLOADING "INFORMATION PACKAGES"
There are countless accounts of close encounter experiences and UFO witnesses reporting that they have been zapped with what seems to be a download of information.
Many are told or feel that the "informaton" will be released over time or at the appropriate time in the future. They are told, "IN TIME" or when the time is right. Some try to "channel" the information or to interprete what they have been given in order, perhaps, to deal with their "information package."
Sometimes, it appears, that their own DREAMS reveal BITS and IMAGES of that INFORMATION.
(A few days after this account was entered, someone with the encounter interface told me his dream in which there was a PACKAGE in a rectangularly shaped room which contained cookies. These "packages" or "black boxes" have been reported by other encounter witnesses.)
Even in the movie "Donnie Darko," the 101-year-old woman who was the author of "The Philosophy of Time Travel" checks her always empty mailbox every day for a long-awaited letter, actually expecting, it becomes clear later, a "message" from outside our primary universe's time and space, fron a "tangent universe."
We now cite a curious incidence of "high strangeness" reported to us here in New York when our "WOW! Contact" started to unfold in a section of our very first chapter, "Encounter Explorers in Astro-Wonderland," with the first account. It is by Lorie B., who served as Whitley Strieber's secretary for opening mail in response to his first visitation books:

"Harold, another WOW for you that you and I never discussed... Three days before I got my first call from Anne Strieber to meet them for brunch in the Village in 1986 (our first planned meeting), a UPS man delivered to my door a TRIANGLE shaped PACKAGE, which turned out to be a current board game called OMEGA, that I never heard of and had NOT ordered!
"There was no return address, and UPS said it was just sent directly from a factory in New England. Just one word was scrawled across the wrapping: CONGRATULATIONS! Absolutely no one I knew had sent it. It has remained a mystery.
"It was at my meeting with WHITLEY three days later that I first revealed a few of my lifelong experiences to the world. As for 'Alice In Wonderland,' it was my FAVORITE book as a girl. My second daughter (the one was pregnant with in 1959, when three little beings visited and probably abducted me) recently gave me an old, hardcover edition of it as a gift.
"BUT I WAS ALWAYS SCARED BY THE WHITE RABBIT, and used to have 'nightmares' about him!"
The "Cosmic FedEx Packages" have been and are still being deliivered in ways that most scientists cannot imagine nor accept because of the nature of the delivery and who gets them.
This, say some scientists who are aware of this, "is something that is far, far beyond our current understanding in the way we understand things. It represents a civilization that is tens of millions of years beyond us...."
It is indeed ironic that scientists are NOW telling us to look "in our own PLANETARY BACKYARD" for evidence and artifacts of INFORMATION from farflung alien cultures.
As Hal in "2001" says: "Wait a minutel...." For, a gentle Englishman in early August named Gary was fiddling in his own backyard garden, and unearthed an rusty old small hammer for breaking brittle candy, which struck a chord in his mind on his mental piano... and led Anders in Finland to think: "Hey, Thor's Hammer!"
And that led to an incredibly jam-packed "PACKAGE of INFORMATION" (not necessarily of a physical nature but of a subtle, sublime kind) filled with associations and interlocking relationships, as told here in the past two months!!!!
The "WOW! CONTACT" has been found in our own "PLANETARY BACKYARD" right here, all over Terra Firma....

New York City, Saturday, September 4, 2004 -- While awaiting a long distance phonecall on this Saturday morning I decided to look for my book "The Making of King Kong: The Story of a Film Classic" from the mid-1970s.
I was prompted to do so by a feature article in yesterday's New York Post "Pulse" section (page 43) on the "Return of the Kong" by director Peter Jackson ("Lord of the Rings" film trilogy) on his remake of the 1933 film "King Kong." In the article is this reference to the original movie: "In that version Kong was really an 18-inch-high RABBIT fur-covered model..."
While not a sync, it led to a synchronized search with serendipitous results, as I checked my bookcases for the book. While browsing, the first book I wanted to checkout was "MANDALA" by Jose and Miriam Arguelles (Shambala: Berkley & London, 1972), and I purused through it.
Jose Arguelles, a planetary whole systems anthropologist and a founder of Earth Day in 1970, in the 1980s and 1990s became famous for his 2012 Mayan calendar research and books, such as "The Mayan Factor," "Time and the Techosphere," "Surfing Zuvuya: Tales of Interdimensional Travel," and "The Arcturus Probe: Tales and Reports of an Ongoing Investigation."
The book was a gift from a Chinese Auction at a Christmas Day party back in 1973 that took place in a large house I shared with others in East Orange, New Jersey (not the house in the 40-acre woods). We called the house, "The House at Pooh Corners" after A.J. Milne's popular children's classic. (I can here the old Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young song "The House at Pooh Corners.")
The main character in the story is the boy CHRISTOPHER ROBIN, who has his animal friends such as Pooh Bear, a RABBIT, "and tigger, too."And we add, "and also a SYNC THINGY, too!!!"
I have a collectable figure of CHRISTOPHER ROBIN, 1999 Fisher-Price edition. When I bought this a couple of years ago, on the same K-Mart store shelf, I happened to see a "Saturday Evening Post" collectable Christmas ornament, based on a Norman Rockwell Post magazine cover, of a boy reaching into his holiday stocking with a toy WHITE RABBIT next to him.
CHRISTOPHER ROBIN and Winnie-The-Pooh of The One Hundred Acre Wood are beloved by generations of children. A.J. Milne (1920-1996) was called "Billy" by his parents, who did not like "WILLIAM." He wrote a fascinating three part autobiography called "The Enchanted Place."
While at it, back at the department store, I also bought a HARRY POTTER "Albus Dumbore" Enesco Christmas ornament. The late actor and singer Richard Harris who played the wizard in the first two Potter movies, in the 1970s played the role of KING ARTHUR in the movie version of the famous "CAMELOT" musical. An album by Harris in the early 1970's was titled "McARTHUR PARK," his best work, I feel.
Back to the "MANDALA" book, it was metioned that Dr. Carl Jung found the mandala of great use in his work. And if you have looked at the website and articles of Swiss psychologist DR. REMO ROTH which we have highlighted, the MANDALA plays a major role in his studies and experiences, and with synchronicity.
British UFO research Jenny Randles wrote of Mandalas: ""Like my dream, I think the alien contact mystery is a MANDALA -- an image upon which we meditate to alter and raise our state of consciousness....It teases and tantalizes our limited consciousness, forcing us to look upwards and outwards for greater perception." (-- page 205 from "Star Children: The Story of Alien Offspring Among Us" Sterling Publishing Company, NY, 1995 -- it's the book in which our GARY is mentioned on pages 17-18, 72-73, 75-78 & 201.)
Anyway, next I notice a large booklet near where the MANDALA book was. It is called "The Founding Pig," an illustarted satire and parody on the destructive aspects of Western culture. It was yet another gift given to me while I attended the famous WOODSTOCK Music and Arts festival in August 1969.
Here is my notation inside the book: "Given this at Woodstock, White Lake at the Hog FARM by a lovely, mysterious stranger, Sunday, August 17, 1969." It was at that Hog FARM -- not exactly Harry Potter's Hogwarts! but who knows? -- where I photographed the RABBITS around a feeding trough, mentioned here in an earlier account.
Okay, further down the rabbit hole and along the bunny trail we go, on my serindipitous search for the King Kong book.
THE BUNNY TRAIL GOES INTO SPACE
Next, from another bookcase, I pull out the book "Colonies in Space: A Comprehensive and Factual Account of the Perspectives for Human Colonization in Space" by aerospace engineer and science writer T.A. Heppenheimer (Stackpole Books, 1977), with an introduction by famed sci-fi writer Ray Bradbury. I go to the index, as I usually do, if there's one. In there I find: "RABBITS, 127." I say: "If this be Rabbits, it must be a 27 in it!!!"
The reference to rabbits is in "Chapter: Up On The Farm." The concept is that RABBITS, because of their procreation talents, are the perfect farm animals for SPACE colonies, along with chickens. "The ideal animal must have a high productivity," Heppenheimer writes. "...RABBITS reproduce so fast and grow so rapidly that a herd...can produce five times their initial weight in edible meat over a year." Unfortunately for the rabbits and animal lovers like myself, this would provide "rabbit-burgers" for the space colonists, which I find not to my taste.
The whole "SPACE COLONY" movement using giant, revolving space colonies far out in space was popularized by the late Gerard K. O'Neill, who was a physics professor at Princton University and co-author Freeman Dyson of the classic book "The High Frontier: Human Colonies in Space."
The Whole Earth Catalog, devoted in the 1970s to ecology, published in 1977, through its "A Co-Evolution Book" division and Peguin Books, "SPACE COLONIES" edited by Stewart Brand.
Over 20 years ago Arthur C. Clarke wrote about a mystery alien space colony intruding into our solar system in a book called "Rendevouz With Rama," with sequels.
The first mention of RABBITS on SPACE colonies was presented at an American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Princeton University, also sponsored by NASA, in 1975, organized by O'Neill in 1975.
At the conference, it was mentioned about Carolyn and Keith Henson of Tuscan, Arizona, who "raise turkeys, RABBITS and chickens on their lot...They had come to talk about farming in space, which they proposed building around -- that's right -- the raising of RABBITS and goats," writes Heppenheimer, (who was age 30 when his book was published), on page 31 in "Chapter 2: Our Life In Space."
The RABBIT-breeding Hensons, went on to found the L-5 Society (named after the Lagrangian Points where the gravity of Earth, the Moon and the Sun cancel each other out providing a stable anchor in space near Earth.) I attended L-5 meetings here in the city at the East 47th Street "Y" in the early 1980s.
In 1987 the Hensons merged the L-5 Society with the National Space Institute (founded by Werhner von Braun in 1974) to create the National Space Society, of which I have been and am a member, and currently a NYC Chapter officer. The late Timothy Leary (whose ashes were sent into space) tells of the Hensons and this in his book "The Intelligence Agents."
So, I and others who are National Space Society members are connected with RABBIT farmers!!!!
Which explains the SYNC during Earth Day this year at Grand Central Station where our chapter had a display table right by Annie's Homegrown Natural products display table, with its symbol, BERNIE BUNNY, the "RABBIT of APROVAL" (as its logo reads, staring right down over us!!!
(In the new July-August-September 2004 issue of "Ad Astra" magazine there are photos and an article about our N.Y. Space Society Table at the Earth Day event at "Grand Central Space-tion.")
In the 1972 eco-sci-fi movie "Silent Running" by Dalton Trumbull and starring Bruce Dern (with music by Judy Collins), the story takes place on a mini-space colony consisting of space biospheres set among the outer planets. And there are shown RABBITS in the space biospheres! That's before the books by Heppenheimer and O'Neill-Dyson. O'Neill first began exploring the space colony concept in 1969.
In "The Babylon Project -- On the Edge of a New Frontier: A Space Settlement Design Study" by students Thomas Beatty and David Peters of GREENWICH High School (which won the Ames Space Settlement Design Contest by NASA), they propose moving the huge asteroid 433 EROS (which is 40 by 15 kilometers in size) to the L5 Point, hollow it out and establish a huge space colony there (like "Unada" on the classic Star Trek episode "For I Have Touched The Sky and It's Hollow...")
What I find to be an interesting connection here is the word "EROS." Dr. Remo Roth, the Swiss psychologist and UFO Dream researcher whose works on dreams and synchronicities we have featured, talks of the importance of entering into a transformative state of "EROS Consciousness" away from our usual "LOGO Consciousness," and that it seems Close Encounters happen in an "EROS Consciousness" Realm. If you have not read his material, please do so to understand this association her with the mention of the EROS Asteroid. (Also, rememer "The Little Prince" came from an asteroid!)
Of RABBITS, this is what our GREENWICH High School students write in their study: "The main meat supply for the (space) colonists would be RABBITS and chickens. These animals consume very little and reproduce very quickly."
All this material here is presented now, as is, to show the associations of our RABBITS and SPACE, etc., and how these synchronicities and assocatons came about.
In "Watership Down" by Richard Adams, the psychic RABBIT "Bright Eyes" has a vision of blood filling the English countryside rabbit warren. So, I say to future space colony rabbits, "RUN, RABBIT, RUN"

New York City, Sunday, September 5, 2004 -- Today, doing research on the Net, I uncovered more about the SYNC-figance of GARY's ARTHUR and ANDER's ROBIN findings (the Christopher Robin material cited earlier).
Checking the ARTHUR PBS-KIDS-TV site, I looked up Arthur's Rabbit friend, Buster Baxter (shown above) and learned of an "Arthur" spinoff show debuting in October called "Post Cards From Buster."
Buster Baxter the bunny announces his show this way: "Hey, I'm not sure how it happened, but I'm getting my own TV show. It's true! (Hmmm... I wonder if maybe ALIENS are BEHIND IT? That could explain things abit!"
Here we have a SYNC with ARTHUR's RABBIT friend and ALIENS/Space, right in sync with all that's "hoppened!"
Then Gary, searching the Arthur PBS-Kids website found the "CONNECT THE WORLD" graphic above.
"Look at this title here on the site, with the RABBIT: "CONNECT THE WORLD." Can we have any better request from what we have been receiving??" Gary said.
The whole KING ARTHUR-RABBIT connection comes also in the movie "Mighty Python and the Holy GRAIL" There are scenes with a large RABBIT and a giant WOODEN RABBIT (like "A Trojen Rabbit") in front of a castle under seige. These scenes, with dialogues, can be found on the links below.
Gary, upon looking at these, notes; "The RABBIT of CAERBANNG: I had a 'coincidence; with this. One of the people holding the dialogue had the name of my son. I really tok notice of this individual!!"
Since I mentioned in the account about "...SPACE FARMS RABBITS" above, "Annie's Heme Grown Totally Natural" food products with their Bernie BUNNY mascot, I saw an Annie's box I saved not too long ago.
This product was "Annie's ARTHUR Macroni & Cheese," with a picture of the TV "ARTHUR" on the box with Arthur Pasta shapes!!! Enough to chew on for quite awhile!
At this time, the MESSAGE of our "WOW! COMMUNICATION" seems clear now: The RABBIT INVITES us to "CONNECT THE WORLD" with this one form of "CONTACT" on a wider scale than ever before, keeping a CHILD-LIKE manner of Fabulous Awe and Wonder in presenting it to enter WONDERLAND.

New York City & Finland, Sunday, September 5, 2004 -- On Friday Anders made a major discovery, perhaps the KEY DISCOVERY and SYNC of our "WOW! Contact," a communication and message which I regard as a GIFT.
Anders wrote: "Here are some connections between SETI and ROBIN." He attached two related links/sites (see below), "Astrobiology: SYNCHRONIZED SETI" by NASA astrophysicist ROBIN Corbin, and a paper by Corbin, who is with the RXTE Science Operation Facility (SOF) in Greenbelt, Maryland and a member the Univesrities Space Research Institute, and he was involved with the Exostat and ASCA satellite projects. Anders also included two links to two ROBINs from the SETI@Home website., noting number 27 and 47 time calebrationss.
Yesterday I looked at the site carefully and clicked-on a "New Scientist" magazine link (the British science weekly)... and I hopped out of my seat when I saw this headline from a brief article by Marcus Chown about ROBIN Corbet from the August 14, 2002 issue:
"SYNCHRONICITY IS KEY TO HEARING ET"
That's the running schronized generator of what we call the "WOW! CONTACT" and to see it put so boldly by a scientist is an truly Astounding Story!!!
Of course, to be very clear, Corbin is not referring to our precise types of synchronicities and the specific manner of their occurance in great numbers and clusters in repeating patterns. But ours is still a "sync horse"... only a "sync horse of a different color," as the Emerald City residents in OZ told Dorothy and her friends.
Corbin (our ROBIN reference to which the latest series of "Woflgang Pauli flood of syncs" ARROWS are pointing) talks of SYNCHRONICITY in term of SYNCHRONIZED positions and movements of NATURAL celestial bodies (the aliens home world, our Sun and the Earth), as the article and abstract paper below explains. Which is SYCHRONICITY.
"Aliens would determine the Earth's orbit, according to Corbet, then TIME their signal to arrive when Earth's orbit is closest to them," writes Chown. "All we need to do is SYNCHRONIZE our searches to look at possible sources of signals at those times."
Although Corbet figures on an alien strategy to save energy and expenditure, the effort here is on fhe TIMING and POSITIONS (Right Time & Right Place). That's been the case with our WOW! Contact; not with orbiting celestial bodies but with human minds and bodies in the right times and places for syncs to happen, and much closer to home than "out there."
With the latest "Dear E.T...." article in the New Scientist magazine (Sept. 2, 2004) telling that aliens are more likely to place a "package of informaton" in our own "planetary backyard" rather than send out radio/TV signals or laser pulses, there emerges a clearer understanding and acknowledgement, in a public way, among scientists of HOW CONTACT may occur.
That contact is ocurring, clearly with our "messages" due to an INTERACTIVE INTERFACE with the Hyper-Intelligence SOURCE, closer to home and part of a cosmic wonderland in which we live.... along with the overwhelming evidence provided by millions of close enounter reports.
"IF WE CALL THEM, THEY WILL ANSWER," says Anders von Bergen.
"YOU DID NOT CHOOSE THE WAND. THE WAND CHOOSE YOU," says the Wizardry shop owner to Harry Potter. (We paraphased it.)
"THEY'RE HERE! THEY'RE HERE!" yells the man running through the streets of Washington, DC in the 1951 movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still."
'SYNCHRONICITY KEY TO HEARING ET," says Marcus Chown in his article about Robin Corbet's proposition.
These statements characterize the major elements of our WOW! Contact.
Our reports remain unacceptable to most scientists and to a number of ufologists, as well, due to the "High Strangeness" factor, and the fact that we are not professional space scientists. But some scientists do have these experiences!
No matter. The gap in acceptance is getting narrower. And that is a welcomed and encouraging sign, a QUANTUM HOP in the right direction as we Carry On!

The United States and parts of the world are experiencing a "flying triangle" flap as reportd of these myterious objects, are on an upswing worldwide. UFOs? Secret aircraft? No one knows for sure, but several of the reports are intriguing.
The video clip shown here, provided by Filer's Files, is of such a flying triangle videotaped by a witness in California on August 8.
Flying triangle reports are not unique, having been seen throughout history and in the modern UFO period. They were at the center of major sighting flaps in New York State's Hudson Valley region in the 1980s and in Belgium in 1990. A S.P.A.C.E. Skywatch Away Team witnessed such a flying triangle over a Westchester County reservior in 1993.
However, the overt behavior of these overflights and increasing numbers in widespread areas make this current flap remarkable.
We include this news item here, from MSNBC, not a UFO news source, because of the importance of TRIANGLES in the "WOW! Contact," and the TIMING of these reports in light of our latest accounts.

PEEKING OUT OF THE RABBIT HOLE: WHO'S CURIOUS OUTSIDE OF WONDERLAND???

New York City, Tuesday, September 7, 2004 -- Gary in England noted today in a message to me and Anders yesterday the "wish with a heart" graphic from the "ARTHUR PBS-Kids" website with Buster Baxter the BUNNY (who says his new show this October may have been instigated somehow by ALIENS from space?).
Gary thought of the incident in February 2001 of his late evening visit to a local supermarket and finding the Cadbury RABBIT Chocolates, which he thought may have meant nothing, even a bit silly. In fact, to our usual surprise, it was the beginning of a MAJOR SYNC CLUSTER reported at that time which included the finding of psychologist Dr. Gibbs WILLIAMS giving a "SYNCHRONICITY" workshop and a mysterious "TRICKSTER" incident here in the Big Apple!!!
Anyway, Gary noted on the Cadbury box this text from "THE GREAT BUNNY" of Cadbury, England:
"The Purple WISHING Mini Egg: Here in my bunny paw I hold A Mini Egg worth more than gold. This purple Mini Egg, you see, Is from the Land of Cadbury! ---- Before you eat your chocolate treat, This special verse you should repeat: 'O Purple Wishing Mini Egg. While I am eating you, I'm thinking of a special wish, Please make my wish come true!"
This WISHING element of the "WOW!" Contact has been discussed before: We can co-create or engage these synchronistic streams and thereby interact and interface with the Hyper-Intelligence, as has been demonstrated. The EGG is the UFO the CONTACT MANDALA and the RABBIT (the Merry Trickster) represents the Human-Nonhuman Interface.
Foolish? Remember Steven Spielberg's 1977 movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" incorporated the main character Roy Neary's interest in Pinocchio and the 1980 movie re-release ended with the alternate "When You Wish Upon A Star" music track over the end credits.
There was a lot of thought, research (thanks to astronomer and UFO researcher Dr. J. Allen Hynek!!) and, perhaps, guidance, in that classic movie blending so many Encounter Elements, including synchronicities!!!
And in Spielberg's 1982 classic movie "ET: The Extra-Terrestrial" which was the first Earth creature that is shown on the movie screen? A RABBIT, which has figured in several such movies over the years, at least since the 1953 "Red Planet Mars" movie starring Peter Graves, a '50's kind-of version of "Contact" and in the mid-1990s TV movie "Roswell."
While Jodie Foster (Dr. Arroway of the 1997 "Contact" movie), as a pre-teen in the 1974 movie "ALICE Doesn't Live Here Anymore" says "Weird. Weird," Alice In Wonderland says "Curiouser and Curiouser."
"IF WE CALL THEM, THEY WILL ANSWER" says Anders von Bergen. Our Wish came true.....
But, our Adventures In Wonderland are far from over. There's no media #30 mark here, no bottom to our rabbit holes!
The Current Clear Message from our 'WOW! Contact," which is given to everybody, is to "CONNECT THE WORLD."
