Van Gunn's Good Luck Charm ***ELVIS*** (3 1/2 wks old in the pic) UPDATES!! 3-2-02 ***FLASH*** Elvis has started basic obedience and will be showing in a match soon!! Will post results soon! **ELVIS WILL BE WORKING ON HIS CGC TITLE THEN HIS C.D. AS WELL!!**

Meet our "Miracle" boy.....ELVIS! He's a Cruise and Ellie son.... born on 2-1-00, with a TREMENDOUS will to live! At only 3 days old, Elvis had to be tube fed...as he was near death..cold and barely moving, luckily he got through this, then at 6 1/2 weeks old, he became SERIOUSLY ill with what we know now was the Dog show crud...It mimics symptoms of parvo....and we are convinced that it is a new virulent strain of parvo.....Elvis had a white cell count of only 300 while a healthy pup's white count is around 12 to 15 thousand!!!! His temperature had bottomed out and he was shocky. He was in ICU for nearly 2 weeks, on oxygen for 3 days and IV fluids for 1 1/2 weeks, the vets had all but given up on our Elvis...but he NEVER gave up...One day I went to go to see him in ICU, to say goodbye, but Elvis had other plans! On this day I knew he was going to make it, he was so weak that he could hardly stand without shaking and falling.... But HE managed to pull himself up, stumble over towards me (IV in his boney little arm) and reach his little neck out and gave me a gentle nudge on my nose with his, as if he was reassuring me that he was going to be ok..... our boy came back to us!...he defied death several times....God must have a special plan for this little angel.....And not a day goes by that I'm not thankful for the chance to love him and to have this precious baby in my life....He's our loveable and UNBELIEVABLY intelligent little floppy eared boy!! He loves every living thing! and he enjoys obedience work, and will be competing soon!! Oh and he has a BIG fan club from all over the Country! Everyone Loves our Elvis...... ELVIS IS DOING SO INCREDIBLY WELL IN HIS OBEDIENCE CLASS THAT HE WILL BE WOOING THEM IN THE RING VERY SOON!!

Gunnar and Brittney daughter (full littermate to Cruise and the crew) finished Ch. at 8 mos old,, by going Best of Opp over a Specials' bitch!! She is a sweet-heart, and is owned and adored by Larkin HIll and Ron Coley.....

Caesar, (Gunny and Britt son) At 10 mos old here, he went breed over top ranked specials and on to an exciting Group 4!! Finished his Ch. from the PUPPY class! He has produced the NUMBER "1" AmStaff in Australia, from the results of an A.I. breeding! (Now owned by William Miller)

What a nice win this 3 pt. major was....In her first show, at 6 mos of age, Xena won Best Puppy In Show.....! We are so proud of her and of her owners, Jim & Diana Elliott.
