Please note that items preceeded by an asterick were purchased by me for this collection. All others were received in response to reception reports from me to the stations.
These pages represent only QSL cards, not letters. Due to the limitations of WebTV, I am only able to scan postcard size or smaller at this time.
There are two pages with this set. Click NEXT PAGE at the end of page one to see the remainder.

In 1995 KDKA replaced the AM tower shown on the left side of this card. Some of the old tower was sliced into round discs and sealed into Lucite paperweights. These were sold as collectors items with the proceeds going to the Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh. I purchased several of these so I actually have a piece of the tower shown on this card sitting on my desk!

In 1965 PJB had a powerhouse signal that was widely heard throughout North and South America on 800 kcs with 500,000 watts from a 760 foot tower. Their QSL was a multipage foldout. This is the front cover.
The second page was this view from the top of the 760 foot tower showing the station and the antennas for their shortwave frequencies. |
The third page contained the pertinent information about the station.
