Bob and Kathy
Phil and Mary joined us for our 10 a.m. meditation service followed by discussion.
Silvia (La Colombianita) and Le Roy (The King, in French), also participated.
An interesting discussion came up about healing.
Half the group felt that there was nothing in them that needed to be healed.
It is interesting to note that negatively used words like "pain, illusion, ego, forgiveness, judgement, etc." seemed to be much more used by those who feel that they "need to be healed."
Notwithstanding, calmness, joy, greatfulness, and peacefullnes, seemed an ongong part of the words and actions of the group process.
After lunch, Silvia, Le Roy, and the Bobkats drove to Madison to see the 2:10 p.m. movie "Capote" with Aurora and Catherine at the Market Square Theater.
At 4:40 p.m., we were joined by Don, and then Dolly, and saw "Brokeback Mountain"
After movie chatting was followed by 7 of us going to the Perkins Restaurant on University Avenue, and being joined there by Ken and Rafe.
Munching, murmuring, and meandering of minds went on for about 3 hours, followed by extensive hugging and ohming in the Perkins parking lot, and then we four drove to BumpityRoad, arriving home about midnight.
A full day!
Full of friends and mentors!
Yippee!

Bob and Kathy
Bob got a call from his mom to come to Portage and help distract her from her ailments by playing cards. Aunt Eva, Victor, and Flossie also joined us on very short notice.
Mom seemed better by the time we left.
The three "houseketeers," La Colombianita, Le Roi, and KAThy, chatted, e-mailed, phone calls, munched, and relaxed.
Le Roi and Kathy went on a two mile bike ride down to Newton Road, chatting with neighbor Dianna in front of her house.
The King started the woodstove in the Sunrise Room and kept it going all day.
This made for a very comfortable house when the rains started and the temperature dropped.
A slow paced day.
The rains have been tapping on the windows for several hours now.
But we are all dry and warm.
Yippee!

Le Roi, (in French), The King, La Colombianita (una senorita de Colombia, S.A.), and we two, taking turns on the computer, webtv. and phone lines, for e-mails, lessons, greetings, and information gathering.
For a week, , six of us were taking turns on the computer, including daily listenings or hostings on ACIM Gather, thus, an outstanding example of sharing resources in a sharing and caring, easily managed manner.
Inside housework is a never ending job, as is gardening and yardwork.
Compost, recycling, burnables, ashes, trash, dishes, floors, towels, sheets, woodstove fires, etc.
Plowing, mowing, planting, weeding, raking, trimming trees, loading branches, stacking wood, , and always, 3200 square feet (40x80), of stacked accumulations, awaiting our attention in the steel barn.
We have been diligently working our way through all the leftovers (with the help of the 5 outside feline predators).
By late afternoon we were all in a laid back restive mode, so here we are at 4:46 p.m., taking time to update our daily journal. :-)
And now, some relaxing birdwatching!
Followed by supper and an evening viewing of the movie, Paper Moon (thank-you, Portage Library).

Bob and Kathy
Lots of visiting with MarcieMallow, Happy-Happy, and Archangel before they left for Chicago.
Sharing breakfast and cinnamon raisin pecan rolls. :-)
Silvia and Le Roi are on a silent fast today.
So Bob and Kat worked separately and together, throughout the day, uniting to plow, plant, and fertilize, four varieties of peas.
White onions, radishes lettuce, spinach and rutabagas, were also planted today.
We also did raking in the front yard, hauling wheelbarrows full to our mulch pile.
We had lots of choices for food today, because of all the leftovers!
So Kathy and Bob had a quiet supper together, with lots of fresh chives on most of our foods.
We have really come to appreciate fresh chives with our foods.
Yummy!

Bob and Kathy
We began the morning with Amish fried eggs, fried taters, coffee, etc.
House cleaning and outside work.
Then to Portage to run a few errands.
Afternoon and early evening we went to a farewell party for Peggy and Mark from Wisconsin Dells.
All seven of us went (Silvia, Le Roi, ArchAngel, MarcieMallow, Happy-Happy, KatKat, and BobKat).
We took a roasting pan of scalloped potatoes, a rice and green bean casserole, a salad, and garlic brown bread sticks.
What a smorgasbord!
And so many desserts!
We saw deer several times on our way home, so we kept our night speed, way down low.
And so....all arrived home safely! :-)

Bob and Kathy
Fried potatoes, eggs, beads, cereals.
Lots of pizza left for later, plus a watermelon (thank-you, Marcie, a.k.a. "marshmallow spider") and 3 home made rice custards (thanks, MarshieMallow), David's baked beef, sauce, and breads, Kathy's salads, and lots and lots of green chives from "under the window."
So much rain comes off the roof onto the mulched chives, that they grow incredibly fast.
Chive plants that we cut to ground level 12 to 14 days ago, are now ready to be cut again.
Raking, wheelbarrowing, plowing, trimming big branches, stacking wood for another bonfire, more earth debris to the mulch pile, a left overs "scavenger hunt' in all three refrigerators. dishes, plowing, mowing, the ArchAngel (Michael), playing background guitar music, Le Roi getting three bicycles operational, and finally putting our two Allis Chalmers Tractors to bed in the steel pole barn.
A steadily trickling stream of a variety of birds to the feeders today.
The yellow cat, "La Gata," lording it over his realm today, occasionally allowing us to scratch the royal head.
Many hands in the kitchen, and outside, have made so many tasks, so much easier.
The trio of bikes are on the southeast patio, awaiting riders.
The group is reaching a consensus on which movie to watch, lulled by the ArchAngel, strumming in the background.

Bob up in the barn, while the six in the house cleaned all the dishes, floors, Sunrise Room, kitchen etc.
Then, Happy and Marcie made a pizza run to the Dells to see if they could obtain pizza in substantial quantities for much reduced rates after the pizza buffet had ended.
Guru Steve had introduced them to this Prodigious Pizza Producing Procedure.
Bob worked in garden 1, and then with Kathy, Michael, Le Roi, and Silvia.
We five, raked the north side of the house, hauled many wheelbarrows full of mulch and limbs, loaded the hay wagon with lots of branches for another bonfire, and then planted more white onion sets.
Then just relaxing, and listening to the ArchAngel (Michael), reading from his book.
KatKat and BobKat are pooped-pooped.
Pizza, many kinds, including fruit pizzas, lots of venison steaks, home made breads, etc.
The video movie, Cider House Rules began playing, Bob was too tired to give a hoot, so he flew into his sleeping nest.

Bob and Kathy
Rafe ( a Connecticut trained chef), prepared an exceptional gourmet breakfast, with many other hands, also helping out in the kitchen throughout the day.
Planned and unplanned sessions occured throughout the day.
Food, friendship, and conversations, were all incredibly delicious, spiced with occasional walks outside, and eating at the picnic table on the knoll on the south sde of the house.
Dana joined us for a session in which he had a great connection with Aurora.
THAT, was a verrrrrrrrrrrry LIVELY session, with lots and lots of profundity spiced with hilarious and frequent laughter.
Several watched Bruce Almighty, which we are looking forward to chatting about (and seeing ourselves as Bruce :-) ).
Seven angels slept over tonight, drifting off to sleep, before, and after, midnight.

Bob and Kathy
Our tentative schedule flowed into a variety of unfoldings throughout the day.
Kathy, Silvia, Michael, and Aurora went shopping together.
Bill and Michelle arrived from Sun Prairie, Rafe from Madison, and Karen, also from Sun Prairie, Brenda from Wisconsin Dells, and Carol from Madison.
(For our morning session, we placed chairs on top of the picnic table and haywagon.)
And then David and Linda arrived from rural Plymouth with meats, spices, and over a dozen loaves of fresh home made bread, baked by David in his home bakery.
The day Relationship sessions were lively and spontaneous with small group sharings occuring throughout all the meals and meal preps.
David did lots of gourmet cooking for the whole group.
Aurora and David had brought drums and other musical instruments so we had several hours of drmming and some dancing around the east camp fire pit until about 10:30 pm.
We had a huge campfire which eventually burned down to a large, hot bed, of very glowing coals.
David and Linda, stayed over as did Karen.
More late night chatting and sharings as we drifted off, one by one, into dreamland, fourteen angels sharing seven different bedrooms.

KAThy and Bob
Bob, MIchael, Kathy, and Leroy cleaned the Sunrise Room, and other areas, for the weekend.
It was a great Team sharing.
Many funLOVING angel friends arrived for dinner, which held fun communication.
Catherine, Duncan, and Sherry arrived, follwed by Aurora and then Mel.
Le Roi and Silvia joined us.
(Duncan fell asleep, and didn't wake up to join us till 10 pm).
Then, we shared the Dream Interpretation Group, which was very insightful.
We talked at length about dreams and thoughts, that came to mind.
Divine inspiration showed the meaning and power, that came forth, in this.
It was a lot of fun, with a lot of laughter.
After the group, Duncan joined Bob and KAThy, for a late night talk.
Everyone stayed overnight except Mel, who lives near Wyocena.

Bob and Kathy
The four "mouseketeers," worked on the yard, cleaning around the eastern side of the house, raking leaves and grass, wheelbarrowing to the mulch pile, stacking brush and tree branches on the hay wagon, and then unloading it for a campfire this weekend.
We four, Silvia, Michael, Kathy and Bob, also loaded the hay wagon high with cut firewood that was stacked alongside the south side of the house.
Large amounts of excavated dirt behind the wood and next to the house, indicated that we had been visited by a woodchuck.
We then unloaded the firewood , next to the pole barn, for eventually storing inside to keep it dry and very burnable.
Then inside for salad, chili, bread, tomato-rice soup, water, and lemon-water.
We took a break during the morning and Bob drove the little tractor, pullng the hay wagon and the three "hayseeds" for a tour around the property, pointing out places to "hideaway" or meditate.
At one point near the marsh where the long dry grass blankets the ground, we stretched out on the soft blanket of grass.
It was sooooooooo comfy!
The changing wind song was like a lullaby, lulling us all into quiet.
The wind lullaby was varying renditions of "shhhhhhhhhhhhhh, shhhhhhhhhhhhhh..."
With occasional bursts of....... "shush, shush, shush."
Then a cardinal began its song, seeming to sing, "now, now, now!"
Later Kathy and Bob did a duet version of: I Know Just What To Do.
And then we continued basking in the long grass with the hot sun shining on our faces, serenely resting.
Four angels sprawled on nature's carpet.
Getting right close to.........Oneness.........With The All.
..................
A relaxing afternoon, Kathy readying bedrooms, , Bob mowing and landscaping around the house
And then in for "build your own" tacos, with a very large bowl of Bob Rice, refried beans, diced onions, taco sauce, and fresh diced chives, which grow under the kitchen window
Le Roi (The King), arrived, laden with a variety of yummy sprouts, which became an excellent addition to our tacos.
Kitchen chores completed, we had a variety of conversations and constellations of sharing.
Bob went out to sit in the dark on one of the chairs we set on the hay wagon, and heard a night sound from near the trees by the marsh, that he had never heard before.
It was a harsh, kind of a raucus, "glicking" sound, that sounded like a bird or a feline.
As if something were protecting its just killed prey.
Or talking to its mate.
Or calling to its offspring.
An, impossible to describe, sound.
It did not seem unusually loud, but several dogs in different directions, immediately began enthusiastic, or rather, excited barkings.
Almost as if the dogs were jolted into an instinctual, sort of, compulsive, response.

Bob and Kathy
Silvia, Mike, and Bob worked around the house this morning, raking and raking and carting off wheelbarrow after wheelbarrow to the organic mulch pile.
Bob made a few gallons of tomato soup, a seasoned rice dish, thawed out some venison chili, and made a few gallons of thirst quenching "lemon water."
Silvia and Kathy went shoppng in Portage, picking up more seeds from Canal Seeds, groceries goodies, and a dozen movies from the library.
Shortly after they arrived, Don and Mary from Middleton arrived, gifting us with 50 pounds of potatoes from Mishler's Amish General Store.
While they sampled our rice dish, we had a six way chat with Silvia and Mike, that was most interesting as Silvia shared highlights from her life story, including living in Paris and other parts of Europe.
After they left, Mary and Phil arrived to sample the soup and chili still warm on the table.
Phil brought along a handy-dandy, jim-dandy, powerful air compressor and put lots of air pressure in our two wheeled dolly, in the two front tires of our 20 horse baby Allis Chalmers Tractor, and in all 4 tires on our ancient hay wagon.
We chatted about birds and by using a massive bird reference book, were able to identify a speckled egg that we found on the east patio yesterday, as being a Cardinal's egg.
Apparently Mama Cardinal had a premature egg laying, while dining on the bird feed on the patio.
Later, Kathy, Michael, and Silvia watched Spirit, an animated movie about horses and life and being a free spirit in the old west.
Laundry drying , dishwasher humming , and now time to walk on the wild side, and step into the darkness of the southeast patio.
And listen for the yipping or howling of coyotes, or any owls who care to give a hoot.
Maybe thanking us for those owl nests we risked our necks to put up?

Bob and Kathy
Bob picked up Mother Superior in the morning to play cards with her sister (Bob's mom), and the three of us had a lot of laughs, which helped mom not think about her severe back pain.
Oklahoma Michael, and Columbia, S.A., Silvia arrived in the eartly afternoon from The White Rose in Wisconsin Dells.
Bob mowed the walking paths, plowed the herb and tomato areas, and Kathy did a lot of raking and wheelbarrowing leaves and grass away to the mulch pile.
Salad, pasta and sauce for supper, with vanilla ice cream and a hot topping of mashed sweet potatoes and cinammon. Yuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmy!
The washing machine is purring and we are going to finish the evening by watching the movie, "Shine."
(Which turned out to be quite, quite moving!)

Bob and Kathy
Kathy went shopping and Bob worked outside, mowing and plowing.
Radish and onion plants are starting to peek through the soil, so Bob worked on keeping the lower garden (#1), weed free, and some mulching.
Then we both worked on weeding and landscaping around the house.
Then Kathy came inside to work in the guest rooms.
Bob worked outside till almost dark, and then went to bed early (really pooped!).

Bob and Kathy
Mary and Phil completed our quartet for our 10 a.m. "meditative service."
Interesting and inspirational discussion followed about choice, joy, and peace.
After guests had left, we whipped up a seven egg, Amish egg omelet, with a side order of raw red onions, and wheat rolls.
The wood stove is going in the Sunrise Room and the temperature in the kitchen-dining area is now 74 degrees.
So, we are all snuggled in, periodically, gently cleaning, organizing, cooking and relaxing.
The tea pot is hot, so it is time to keep our appointment with a cup of Chai latte tea, and, with The Bluebirds who are nest building near the house, and the ever present trickle of a variety of visitors to the large bird feeder on the East Patio.
The tea pot is whistling to me.
Bye, for now.
Chikur and Darrel stopped by for a few hours of profundity and laughs.
That, was a joyful reunion, and laughfest.
Then Bob joined his mom to chat and play cards, laughing and joking back and forth, just the two of them.
Kathy continued cleaning, laundry, making beds, etc., in preparation for the weekend guests.
We two, watched the double VC of the movie "Ghandi," before turning out the lights.
Even though we had seen it years ago, it was still very interesting and inspirational , years and years after our first viewings.
Bob has started a long TO DO LIST today, that will keep him busy for (at least) several life times.
Beginning, tomorrow! :-)

Omelets with Wes and Jean, and lots of fishing and wildlife stories, especially unusual observations with eagles.
Both are interesting and warm conversationalists and really enjoyable people to be with.
They gave us a glowing and interesting narration about their daughter's touring them through the operations of the Cardinal Glass factory.
Phil and Mary picked Kathy up here to go shopping at Aldi's in Baraboo.
Baby sister Rita stopped by with her two big sons, Matthew and Marshall, and we had a delightful conversation with lots of chuckles and smiles.
Kathy returned with Phil and Mary to Chat with Rita, then after the five had left, our Upper Penninsula (Michigan), guests, Jean and Wes returned.
We two, watched the movie Bounce, and then called it a night.

Cleaning, organizing, and spraying box alder bugs on the vinyl siding and foundation with milk gallon jugs with two tablespoons of Joy liquid soap.
Plowing paths in lower garden and moving the coffee table and 7 chairs around in the lower garden.
Raking, planting basil seeds, and unloading logs from the hay wagon.
Evergreen Travel Club guests ( info@evergreenclub.com ), Wes and Jean, arrived about 4 pm from Munining, Michigan, about 300 miles north of us in the Upper Penninsula, on the south shore of Lake Superior.
They are visiting a daughter who accepted employment in Portage after she got her engineering degree, last January.
Jean and Wes are a friendly, happy, and fun couple, who love to travel and camp out, and happily and warmly shared many of their joyous travel experiences.

Bob and Kathy
Bluebirds in the driveway checking out a blue bird house, so Bob put up an additional 3 bluebird houses today.
We picked up trash (from previous owners), in the woods north of the house, and began raking a walking path between the north trees.
And picked up a wheel barrow full of small dead branches to use to kindle fires in the wood stoves.
The big tractor was used in the lower garden (G1) to plow flat the 7 foot wide, walking rows, between the plantings of spinaches, radishes, lettuces, and onion sets.
Green onion lovers now have over 600 sets growing in the garden, all fetilized, mulched, and watered twice by heaven.
Rain drove us into the house so we took the hint and came inside to start the wood cook stove for Chef Roberto to play with.
Inasmuch as he cannot play on this rainy day, in his 8 (gardening), sandboxes.
A large panful of sauteed venison, liberally flavored with home grown lemon basil and coarse black pepper.
And then the sun came out, again!
Kathy continued cleaning and organizing inside and Bob plowed walking paths and mowed them, in the little woods north of the house.
Then he used the snow plow on the big tractor (40 horse),to level the soil from the raised beds of last year's plants, at the same time removing the beginning weed growths.
A couple of tablespoons of liquid Joy dish soap, to a gallon of water, resulted in three gallons of "bug juice" to liberally douse hundreds of box alder bugs on the south side of the house.
Once wet, the insects die in about 15 seconds.
It is a seasonal concern with many homeowners, who usually battle them on the inside of the house with vacuum cleaners!
I have removed box alder trees near the house, and am now removing the sod at the base of the siding, where they seem to congregate.
Frequently, during the day, we paused to watch mama Bluebird making her nest in the same bluebird box she used last year.

KAThy and Bob
We awakened to a beautiful morning.
Mom (Helen) called and invited Bob and Aunt Eva into Portage, to play cards.
We loaded up the buggy, and headed to town, to meet the dynamic duo.
Kathy went along, to run errands.
She enjoys Canal Seeds shop, where the children work in the store.
This seed shop is a family owned business that home schools their children. They are always so nice and friendly.
Bob called KAThy from Canal Seed Shop, and was ready to head back to Bumpity.
We went home, and got dressed for outside work.
Then, put large hollow tree logs, up in the threes for owls, or whoever, to make nests, in several of the large trees here, in the woods north of the house. .
It was a hootingly fun experience.
On the very first nest placement, Bob was at the top of the ladder, when the ladder left him.
Bob became an instant tree hugger, and slid down the tree trunk to the ground.
Six hollow tree limbs or hollow sections of trunk have now been placed in the north trees for owls and other critters.

Lots of chatting around the kitchen table before Marcine left for Illinois.
E-mails and phone calls from friends in Argentina, Canada, England, and Chicago.
Four foreign countries.
Inhabited by dear friends.
A casual day of resting and walking and eating.
Chef Roberto did an interestng stove top casserole on the wood cook stove.
Which warmed the house up to almost 80.
And an evening with Bruce Willis and The 6th Sense.
We just watched the bright full moon peeking in and out of the clouds.
Wild geese in the background.
And the snuffling of a neighhhhhhhhhhhbor's horse.
Them owls is quiet tonight......
And now, on to Ghirardelli's chocolaaaaaaate!

Bob and Kathy
Lots of goodbyes and sharings as Christine (a.k.a. Happy-Happy), packed up to return to the Chicago area.
Marcine drove Mike to The White Rose in Wisconsin Dells, and Kathryn went along for the ride.
All 3 had a good time, boppin' around The Dells, and then took Mike to The White Rose, and then later, to the Academy's Healing Center.
The two ladies stopped at Canal Seeds on the way home to pick up more red and white onion sets (5 pounds of each), and about 15 packages of different lettuce, spinach, and radish varieties.
After supper, we three watched wedding videos from 12-19-04, of the BobKats.
Just stepped outside to enjoy a nice spring evening with lots of moonlight.
A very, very quiet night.
Them owls wil prob'ly be a talkin' to each other, right soon.

Bob and KaTHY
Our 10:00 a.m. meditative service, was followed by an enthusiastic sharing of meditative inspirations!
Marcine, Mike, Christine, Kathy and Bob, all went to the Endeavor Academy's Healing Center to watch the movie: THE CELESTINE PROPHECY, a thought-provking film for many of us.
We five accepted an invitation to remain for a vegetarian dinner with Academy residents and students, which allowed for much interaction at different tables.
Kathy and Bob were invited to sing their new ACIM song: I KNOW JUST WHAT TO DO, which was received very enthusiastically by the "supper audience."
By dark, we had reassembled at Bumpity Road, and some watched the touching movie: MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE.
The nearl full moon was quite bright tonight, and, had a wondrously humungous halo around it!
The quiet sanctuary, at the end of the bumpity road, was bathed in silence and moonlight, as one by one, each of us drifted off into dreamland.

Bob and Kathy
Barb W. stopped by to chat and share breakfast.
Then Le Roi, Marcie, Bob and Kat walked to the Top Of The World (a hill, a mile and a half away) and back, laying in a grassy roadside ditch to rest in the sun on the way back, and also visiting a country cemetery along the roadside, that had gravestones going back to the 1700s.
Mike and Marcie went to town and the rest of us watched Good Will Hunting (some for the second time).
Then we had leftovers, lots of popcorn, lots and lots of chocolate pudding, and then the movie Return To Me.
Very interesting and enjoyable movies, both.
Lots of great discussion and sharings throughout the day.
Just one blessing after another!

Bob and Kathy
Le Roi started the woodstove fire in the Sunrise Room and Bob started Miss Monarch in the kitchen.
A light snow on the ground outside and a wet, windy day, really made the woodstoves feel warm and cheery.
We had a major cleaning day with five of us working inside the house, plus Bob in the gardens, lawn, and pole barn.
Then we worked together for a great Italian supper, of several pasta sauces (made by KatKat and Bob). pastas, garlic bread, sweet potatoes (and tiny melted marshmallows), salads, etc.
The bedtime video movie was Good Will Hunting.

Bob and Kathy
Kathy, Marcie, Mike, and Happy-Happy went into town for a five hour rendevous at different sites in the Portage area.
Marcie and Mike planted red, yellow, and white onion bulbs, in the Lower Garden (Garden no.1, between the Bumpity House and the steel pole barn), and also mulched the onions with a loving and gentle blanket of old alfalfa hay.
Bob planted in the Middle Garden (Garden no.2, between the woodshed and the orchard), a 160 foot row of beets, parsnips, and turnips, part of that long row for eventually harvesting the beet and turnip greens for salads.
The fire pit was replenished and ready to go, but the rain encouraged us to stay indoors this evening.
We listened to the Carpenters (Linda and Tom), and the Doyles (Candace andDavidPaul) for a telephone chat about ACIM sharings.
Afterwards some watched movies (What Dreams May Come, etc.), and some went to their nests.

Leroy and Bob birdwatching (a total of 7 species) and chatting about relationships, spirituality, living in earth form, "spread sheets for happiness, and What if?
What if....... you knew that you lived eternally in the physical body you now have.
Would you change..... how you live your daily earth life, in any way?
............
Marcie, Kat-Kat, and Happy-Happy reading and kitchen table talking about The Holy Spirit's Plan For Forgiveness.
Leroy adding to his spread sheet on the Dell Computer and Bob updating this Open Door Daily Diary on the Web Tv.
Mike and Bob picked uip about 20 whelbarrows of wood debris, leaves, and branches from the front yard.
Afterwards we took a break in the center of the Lower Garden (four chairs were placed there, earlier).
....................
Sitting around the campfire after dark.
And allowing the fire to burn down to hot burning coals.
A half moon was so bright tht it cast shadows.
Mike played guitar.
Leroy told a sci-fi story.
Marcie used a many bracnched stick to put many, many, mini-marshmallows on.
Marcie's improvisation looked like a gigantic spider wearing many, many, white gloves.
.......
All the large marsmallows were toasted and consumed.
Bob was very dedicated, eating even the occasional charred marshmallow.
Sand Hill Cranes periodically bugled in the distance.
And a Candian Goose occasionally honked.
Off to the west, a pack of canines were howling to each other.
And then in the woods just to the east of us, another pack were delirious in their yelpings!
It sounded like a joyful family reunion.
The woods amplified the pack sounds to a crescendo.
Leroy told stories about bicycling from Viet Nam into China.
We sang songs.
And then an owl began hooting.
Later, Le Roi (the king), played fireman and used the garden hose to quench the red hot coals.
It was an awesome campfire experience, with warm friends, together experiencing firelight, moonlight, bird songs, and the pack choruses.

Bob and Kathy
The six of us woke up at different times and gathered together in the kitchen, each choosing from many things to eat.
Bob and Mike did outside yardwork and then Barb W stopped by and they ate together about 2:30, except Bob, who did not hear his cell phone over the noise of the tractor and plow he was using to create very, very wide walking rows in the lower garden.
Six rows, each 80 feet long were all planted and fertilized with several varieties each of lettuce, spinach, and radishes.
Bob joined the O.K. Corral Card-Slinging Gang for a shorter session of "cards as bullets."
Mom's not feeling good, and requires several pain medications, but we did get her to laugh and enjoy herself.
Mom also popped for a pizza delivery, to help keep our card-slinging, hands well nourished.
Good for Bob to get home, relax, and then watch a DVD of CITIZEN KANE, with Kathy and Happy-Happy.
Bob stayed up late into the wee hours, looking at a lot of the background material on how innovative filming and acting perspectives were added to the film.
Orson Welles was a very multi-talented, brilliant, and interesting, innovator, besides being the director, and a star, of the movie.

Kathryn drove off in the Caddy with Marcie, Happy Woman, and Steve, all headed for Pathways of Light, near Kiel, Wisconsin, to visit Robert and Mary Stoelting, and, give them a helping hand with the Miracles Newsletter.
Steve packed up to return to his home near Kiel, and Cuzzin' Jerry stopped by to make repairs on Marcie's car, and, get our warning systems for our septic lift pump tanks, in working order.
Jerry also took a look at Leroy's car.
Bob made a big roasting pan of rice (using 4 pounds of rice), and then made a chili using frozen tomatoes, venison, and lots of yellow onions.
Then, cleaned out the roasting pan to add about 12 pounds of red potatoes and 5 pounds of red onions and about a gallon of milk, along with seasonings and cheese, to make a whopper pan of scalloped potatoes in the already warm oven of Miss Monarch Woodstove.
Leroy and Bob peeled veggies while talking to Cuzzin Jerry about our friend Pew Skunk.
The four travelers to Pathways returned and then joined Cuzzin Jerry, Leroy, and Bob, as we feasted on all the rice, scalloped potatoes, chili, cranberries, etc.
Lots of laughter, warmth, and helpful hands, putting away leftovers, and tidying up the kitchen.

Bob and Kathy
Phil and Mary joined the seven already here for our Sunday Service, followed by a discussion.
Then we went to the three refrigerators, and began making a big dent in a great variety of leftovers.
Afterwards, just sitting in the Sunrise Room, with a warm wood stove fire comforting us as we chatted with soothing music in the background.
Marcie and Steve off to Madison.
Phil and Mary back to their farm.
Mike, Leroy, and Christine joining us in the
Sunrise Room to bask in the flickering flames and heat of Miss Atlanta Woodstove, until Steve and Marcie returned with popcorn shrimp and roast chicken to add to all our leftover dishes.
The chunky berries in the cranberries was a great addition to the meal, making it feel very Thanksgiving like, which was most appropriate, as there is so much to be grateful for in any moment.
The supper prayers included concepts about
friends, who are
family, preparing and serving lots of
food, and all contributing to the
fun!
