August 1, 2005 Bob and Kathy Hot summer day! In the nineties! Kathy worked on e-mail and phone calls. Bob picked summer green and yellow summer squashes and cukes. Kathy found lots of cherry etc. tomatoes. Bob mowed the walking paths and mailbox lawn with the baby (20 horsepower) Allis Chalmers Tractor, and did some cultivating with the big 40 horsepower Mama Tractor. Side by side the two tractors look like a big mare and her colt. Al's Plumbing stopped by to replace a, broken off, kitchen faucet handle, that Super Woman (Kathy), had blessed with one of her "power surges." Jerry and Peggy stopped by on their way to an animal pick-up call from the Humane Society. We root beered back and forth, read newspapers, gabbed, and watched part of CSI. ...................................................... Tuesday, August 2, 2005 Bob and Kathy Temperature in the 90s, so this is an easy day of e-mail, phone calls, sauteeing vegetables, updating websites, etc. We did receive our first call in reference to the Travel Club Article about hosting Mini-Family Reunions here at Bumpity Road. An Illinois couple is thinking about coming with about 15 family members in November! About 20 days in August are already planned with guests, either here, or we as guests, elesewhere. .............................. Wednesday, August 3, 2005 Bob and Kathy Housework prep for oncoming guests. Watering patio and lower gardens. Picking tomatoes, cucumbers, yellow crook neck squash, zuchinnis, mint, basil, and other herbs. Lots of garden stir fries on two blended pastas, spinach pasta, and basil-tomato pasta. More watering and picking of veggies, plus some weeding. Lots of intermittent bird-watching! ................................................... Thursday, August 4, 2005 Bob and Kathy Lots of cleaning. Bedrooms. Floors. Bathrooms. Kitchen. Sunrise Room. Sunset Room. So niiiiiiiice to walk barefoot on that newly scrubbed floor! Evergreen Travel Club Guest, Thora, arrived from Illinois, with her friend, Daisy, from Virginia. They took Bob and Kathy out to dinner at The Hitching Post, where we corraled three seafood dinners and Bob roped a Mexican Chimichanga Plate, big enough for three people. We also hitched onto several heaping bowls of the free freshly popped popcorn, while awaiting our dinners, flavored with great chattings with Thora and Daisy.. Then, we drove to Pardeeville for the Community Band Concert on the Pardeeville Library Lawn, and Thora treated us all to pie and ice cream during the concert. The reoccuring impression, throughout the band concert was, that I was living in a Norman Rockwell painting of small town America, 60 years ago. The line of volunteers serving homemade pies with vanilla ice cream. The band members with their baseball caps, the semi-truck driving slowly past on the main street, with the driver taking in the concert. Lawn chairs, blankets, and babies. People excitedly greeting each other. Children running barefoot behind the band. Pie and ice cream dotting the audience. Spoons moving enthusiastically! All these, made us feel that we were living in a small town painting by Norman Rockwell. Then we drove home, avoided all the deer, arrived safely, and visited a while before conking out. .................. Friday, August 5, 2005 Bob and Kathy Early morning breakfast with Amish Omelets, Amish Bakery Breads, and Amish Pecan Rolls. Coffee, juice, and lots of sharings that we will always remember. Daisy and Thora then continued on their way to a Christian Science Convention in Minneapolis. James and Naomi, also Evergreen Travel Club Members, arrived for dinner on their way back to Penney Farms, Florida. We had freshly picked cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, green, and yellow bell peppers, corn on the cob, spinach, onion, and stir fries with green and yellow summer squashes on several pastas, and, freshly made pesto! Followed up by a choice of 4 different cheese cakes! More sharing of travel stories, family stories, initial meeting with spouses, and some acapella singing of An Old Rocking Chair. And now, off to pack for the next few days of travel. We'll be back here to scribble to you in a few days. Goodnight all, Bob and Kathy ...................... Saturday, August 6, 2005 Bob and Kathy Up at 5:50 A.M. to fix Amish Egg Omelets for Naomi, James and we two, also. Twelve eggs for two omelets. Lots more sharing with these national and world travelers who had been sharing their travel adventures throughout their 21 years of marriage, including sixteen liner cruises! James and Naomi also know Kathy's Uncle Ben and Aunt Betsy in Penney Farms, Fla. It is a small world! After they left, we started for Kiel, Wisconsin, arriving in time for part of the Advisory Council Meeting at Pathways of Light, and then we two, also paticipated in the Ordination Ceremony for the four new ministers. After congratulations and picture taking, we went to Mill Homme Restaurant for dinner with the new ministers and about a dozen other ministers and students, friends all. After dinner, two carloads of visitors went to see our friend Jerry and his heavily mulched organic gardens, near Chilton, resulting in lots of questions and a very well done talking tour by Jerry. Kathy and Bob then drove through Milwaukee to Libertyville, Illinois, for the tail end of grandaughter Kaitlin's 14th Birthday Party. Lots of sharing, with much visiting going on into the wee hours. ............................. Sunday, August 7, 2005 Bob and Kathy A late and leisurely breakfast, after a very sound night's sleep! Lots of sharing with the five grandchildren and their parents about the party. Then off to Saint Gregory's Church, our neighborhood church when Bob lived in Chicago many years ago in the very early 60's. We arrived an hour early for granddaughter Gabriela's baptism, so we had the pleasure of sitting in a very audience friendly Spanish Mass, and afterrwards, we spoke to all three Spanish Priests individually, two of whom were born in Mexico and one in Puerto Rico. After that, a joint baptism of four babies, one of them our Gabriela, each with a set of parents and godparents, and lots of family taking pictures. The priest was friendly, with a good sense of humor, and gave ongoing instructions and commentary that were very warm and understandable. Then off to Graziano's Restaurante Italiano, in Niles, Illinois, for a family style, with lots of heaping plates of Italian food spread out on all the tables. Various salads, pastas, breaded veal, sausage and pasta , creamed chicken, desserts, etc. All by the heaping plateful. Lots of sharings, laughter, and meeting new friends. Then, back to Libertyville, Il. to have the five grandchildren "babysit" us, while their parents had a night out. ..................................... Monday, August 8, 2005 Bob and Kathy Lots of chatting over breakfast preparations and warm friendly sharing up until the time we returned home. While sitting on the patio chatting, the family's pet turtle escaped, but "Pathfinder Scout Bob", found the turtle on the lawn about 125 feet from where it had escaped. A rather warm ride home, arriving in mid afternoon, turning the electric water pump back on, and then enjoying baths and showers. We joined friends in the Portage Public Library for our once a month Book Discussion Group. And also went to the Pizza Hut to indulge in a cheese crust pepperoni pizza. And for dessert, we had a visit with Bob's mom, Helen, to catch up on all the family news. Then drove home with very watchful eyes looking for deer crossing in front of us. It is soooooooooo good to be back home! .............................. Tuesday, August 9, 2005 Bob and Kathy A very hot day with very little activity other than e-mail, phone calls, and picking ripe tomatoes, zuchinni, cucumbers, yellow crook necks, and Bob mowing the walking paths with the smaller tractor. We spent time in both the Sunrise and Sunset Rooms, birdwatching and resting. Lots of butterflies of different kinds, today. ........................ Wednesday, August 10, 2005 Bob and Kathy A cold wave. Temperature down to the 80's today. We got a message from travel club members, Don and Shirley, who are from Arizona, saying that they'd like to stay with us on Saturday night. They were our guests a few months ago, and will be returning to Portage, for a wedding. We put together a message to send to the four newly ordained ministers, from Pathways of Light. This included the talk that we shared at their ordination, last Saturday, about: "What it Means to be a Pathways of Light Minister." It includes a quotation from "A Course in Miracles," that describes each person. We sent those to these new ministers, and then, to all of the other ministers. It is inspiring to share this blessing, and they really appreciate it. Thank you God for blessing us with this gift, to share with them. We watered the gardens, and picked tomatoes. We stir-fried onion, zucchini, and yellow crookneck over pasta, with freshly sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers on the side. Pretty, pretty, pretty! Tasty, tasty, tasty! Umm, umm, gooooooood!!!!!! ------------------------ Thursday, August 11, 2005 Bob and Kathy Gardening and house work. Jerry stopped by to work on both of our Allis Chalmers Tractors. Replacing and electrical condensor on the 40 horse Mama Tractor and checking out needed starter work on her colt, the 20 horse power tractor. Jerry shared some of his challenges and the work he is doing on an old house he recently bought in Portage, near the Historic Portage Canal, also a block from the Wisconsin River and the beautiful river walk on top of the Wisconsin River Flood Levee. Cucumbers, cherry and large tomatoes yellow and green summer squashes, turnips, beans, bell peppers, etc., are all growing faster than we can eat them or give them away. So we are eating lots of stir fries on pastas, with lots of raw vegetables on the side. Spare time on websites, e-mails, phone calls and mail. A peaceful day. With a helpful friend taking the time to keep all sixty of our horses (40+20 horsepower), alive and kicking. ........................... Friday, August 12, 2005 Kathy and Bob It is great to get up, and enjoy the blessings of being at home, in the country. We handled correspondence about upcoming activities happening at Bumpity Rd., with e-mails and phone calls. Then, shared a nice breakfast, with hard-boiled eggs, toast, and Amish sweet rolls. We decided that it is a good day for Bob to go into town, and play cards, with the card sharks. Kathy got goodies of veggies ready to send into town with Bob, for Helen (Bob's mom), and Eva (Helen's sister) , and Bob went off to meet the dynamic three, which included another eighty something year old, Victor. Bob was the baby of the group (being the only one under eighty). While Bob was gone, Kathy put together an information flyer about a gathering with Jon Mundy, The Missouri Mystic, at Pathways of Light, that will happen on August 20th.. Kathy talked with Jeffrey and Kerri Lake, about the gathering that they're holding here at Bumpity Rd., on August 27 and 28. It was great to talk with them, and hear about their many adventures. When Bob got home, we ate some salami that he brought home, with tomatoes and veggies. It was very good. We also spoke with Krai Anne Souza (Bob's middle daughter), each sharing multi-family news, including their family extending their mini-day care for children to be also licensed as foster parents. Todd called (Bob's middle son), and we talked with him for a long time. Then Bob walked the Bumpity Road, under the stars and moonlight, still talking to Todd about peace, love, happiness, and life at Bumpity Road. Todd shared his family, work, and travel experiences, and fired some good philosophical and metaphysical questions at his papa. Profoundly sharing and chuckling. Both. Son and Father. One under the moon and stars on a Bumpity Road. And the other, returning home to Laguna Miguel, under the lights of The Los Angeles Freeway. ........................................ Saturday, August 13, 2005 Bob and Kathy Housecleaning and picking and packing vegetables to "take on the road." Don and Shirley, Evergreen Travel Club Guests from Sun City West in Arizona, arrived about 9:30 p.m. and we four had the chance to catch up on what had happened in our lives since we last saw them here two months ago. They were in Wisconsin for another wedding, this time one of their nephews was married in Portage. We had a great conversation about our experiences as travel club hosts and guests and feel that travel club members are not only more well traveled than most, but they are also more open to hosting strangers, and comfortable in going to homes as guests for the first time. In short, members are less fearful about people. They are much more trusting. .............................................. Sunday, August 14, 2005 Bob and Kathy We chatted and breakfasted on Amish Omelets, etc., for a few hours, and then ;our guests left for a family dinner in Milwaukee. We finished packing up the car and shot off to Madison, Wisconsin to the Market Square Theater to see the two dollar matinee of The Interpreter with Sean Penn and Nicole Kidman. Afterwards we followed our movie going companion Catherine to her home, and readied our vegetable dishes for the Conscious Community pass-a-dish supper at 5:30 p.m. Then off to Dolly's near Werner Park for supper, which was followed by a discussion group. The question selected for discussion was, "If you could change anything in your past, what would it be?" And also, "What would you keep the same?' This resulted in everybody presenting a mini-biography of their lives that was very moving, as well as interesting. We concluded, that some of us were closer to those present, than to some biological family members because those present would take the time to get together for dinner, contribut to the dinner, and share from their hearts willingly, about their perceptions of life and their relationships. It was dark before we arrived at Gene and Bea's, our Evergreen hosts in Madison for Sunday night. They are a very charming couple, sharing their travel, gardening, and family experiences with friendliness and openness. It is such a great gift to "come home" after a long day, and be accepted so warmly by "family," that we are meeting for the first time! ........................................................... Monday, August 15, 2005 Kathy and Bob We got up early, and shared a beautiful breakfast, with Gene and Bea. We were so blessed to be in another home, that feels and is home. Thank you God! Gene and Bea toured us, around their flower garden. Gene has marked it, with name plates, for each plant (he has about 230 varieties of day lilies). Some are blooming fully, in beautiful color, some already have, and others are about to shine brightly! We went onto Chicago, where we arrived at Linette (our oldest daughter's) house. We were so grateful to visit with her, David, and Gabriela Nicole (the youngest granddaughter). David and LInette prepared a delicious meal, which we enjoyed. Then, we talked with Linette openly, about many insights of life, and the miracle of embracing everything fully! It was great, to have this time, with her. ---------------- Tuesday, August 16, 2005 Kathy and Bob Bob got up early, and visited with Linette and Gabriela. Bob and Kathy felt very blessed, to rest there, while Linette went out. When the nanny, Irma, from Guatemala arrived, David also left. We talked with Gabriela a little, and that was great, once again. Bob and I got to talk with the nanny. Bob talked in Spanish with her, and it was so beautiful to hear, and experience. When Linette returned, we visited with her a little more. We went over to Gary (our oldest son's) and Edna's house, to see them, and the five other angels there. We are very blessed, to have these ten angels, so close by. We visited with the grandchildren, when we got there. It was joyful fun, playing games with them. They are so ready and willing, to accept the fun, of the moment. We went out, and Kathy and Edna tried riding the new scooters. Then, the children, really whipped, around on them. The angels, were filling water balloons, while Kathy tied them up. It was flowing fun, in the sunshine. We got ready, and went to an under the moon concert, by the Daddy O's, at Independence Park and Lake. They are a group, who plays 50's and 60's music, quite well. Gary, Bob, and Kathy sang along, to most of the songs. When they played a song, by the name of: "I'm in Heaven," Bob and Kathy danced to it. It was the only slow song, that they played. Thank you God, for this joy. Three of the grandchildren had fun, riding around on their scooters, most of the concert time. It was a great joy, to embrace this miracle, right NOW. We felt home, once again. ------------------- Wednesday, August 17, 2005 Kathy and Bob We got up, to the blessing, of sharing with the love lights, again. We talked with the children, and Gary and Edna. Then, loaded up the car, and headed to Madison. We decided to go see the movie, "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants." It is very moving, about four teenage friends, and the life experiences that they embrace one summer. It is very clear, and miraculous. Paul called, to say that he'd be meeting us, at Bumpity Rd., tonight. When we arrived home, Kathy starting preparing dinner. Bob went out to the garden. Paul arrived, and we visited, while cooking dinner. Thank you God, for this blessing. It was great to talk with Paul, over dinner. He shared with us, about the miracle experiences, that are happening, in his new job. It was great, to get to talk with him, so openly. -------------------- Thursday, August 18, 2005 Kathy and Bob We feel great to be back home again, at Bumpity Rd. Kathy sent out some e-mail messages, to announce activities happening soon, at Bumpity Rd. Bob went out, and did some gardening. He picked yellow crookneck squash, zucchini, and watermelon. Kathy went out, and picked 180 cherry, red and yellow tomatoes. Kathy also picked green beans. This is all such a blessing. Kathy and Bob watched the birds for a while. Paul came home, and Kathy started making spaghetti with tomato sauce, spiced by some zesty Mexican sauce! Kathy also prepared a basil salad, which was very good. We also had fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and green peppers. Then, for dessert, Bob served cantaloupe, with vanilla ice cream. Wow, such a bounty, of fresh veggies and fruit. They are reflections of the willingness, to express ourselves. We did that during and after dinnner, with Paul. Thank you God, for this opportunity to share with these mirror reflections of mind. ----------------------- Friday, August 19, 2005 Bob and Kathy Bob working at vacuuming, organizing and rearranging bedrooms. Kathy picking more cherry tomatoes. Dear friend Richard Masters stopped by for the afternoon (from Reedsburg), and we spent a lively, interesting and speculative time, chatting, catching up on the past year, and probing the mysteries of the universe and the mind. We three then went to Kountry Korners to eat fish fry dinners, dawdling over our meal to chat with the owner (the cook, Deb), and her daughter, our waitress. Back home again, Mel arrived from south of Wyocena, for the Dream Interpretation Group, followed by Rev. Rene Robinson, a social worker from Milwaukee and her son Tevin. Then Donna and Linda arrived from Baraboo, followed by Phil and Mary from Markesan. Rene had brought a family sized bag ($2.68) of popcorn from the drive-in popcorn stand in Portage (we have the popcorn stand's location typed in our "tasty directions"). Bob served watermelon from our gardens and the Dream Group went from 7-9 p.m., with follow-up chatting about current events in our lives. The evening ended with most of us making our own root beer floats, and gabbing away some more. ................... Saturday, August 20, 2005 Bob and Kathy A bright sunshiny day! Washing machine and dryer going. Coffee's finished perking. Time to fill our cups.... and watch the birds! ..... After breakfast, Rene and her son, Tevin, and Kathy and Bob, drove off into the late morning's sunshine to pick up Bob's mom, Helen, and her sister Eva (aka Mother Superior), to bring them out to Bumpity Road for a three sided card playing shootout, which went on all afternoon with Helen ending up as the best shot among the three cardslingers. Rene and Kathy worked on a great meal that used about six or so different vegetables from our gardens. The six of us then rode off after sunset into the Wisconsin countryside to take the two eighty something year olds home and then do a little shopping for treats. We then drove slowly on the backroads, to avoid hitting any deer on the way home. Sunday, August 21, 2005 Bob and Kathy Chef Roberto made Amish Egg Omelets for the four of us and we chatted till midmorning about a host of life's adventures. Then Rene, a social worker, left for Mauston to return two teenagers to Milwaukee, who had been visiting with a long lost grandmother. Kathy and Bob tidied up, relaxed, and then welcomed the arrival of Daybree and Jonathan from St. Petersburg, Florida. We had a great time catching up on our lives' events with this wondrous couple, who had their Union Ceremony here at Bumpity Road on October 2, 2004, exactly one week before Kathy and Bob's Union Ceremony in the orchard here. ......................... Monday, August 22, 2005 Bob and Kathy A day of intermittent sacredly chatting with Daybree and Jonathon, Phil and Mary from near Markesan stopped by to visit, as did Dana from the Academy, and Paul also spent the night here. The meals are wonderful and are a true communion of nourishing our bodies, while also sharing at the dinner table, in the nourishing of our minds and spirits. We also watched a David Hawkins dvd for a nightcap. ................................. Tuesday, August 23, 2005 Bob and Kathy Kathy and Bob spent the early afternoon at the VA Hospital in Madison where Bob did a blood workup ad got a semi-annual checkup with his bestever doctor. Then home, to pick up Daybree's daughter Kate, and take her with us to Lorra and Mark's Homestead, where Lorra was conducting a tour of about 30 Columbia County Master Gardeners all around the plantings on her property. Daybree and Jonatan joined us there with their just purchased Beautifull Burgundy, top-of-the-line, Harley Davidson. Great chatttings and fingerfood. Then home again to meet with Paul, Phil and Mary, and Dana, who were waiting for us at home, and later David and Kirsten dropped in to visit, vacation, do workshops, and rest for a few weeks. ...................................... Wednesday, August 24, 2005 Bob and Kathy Daybree and Jonathon on the road to look at real estate near us. And then...... a day of intermittent hilarity, profundity, and being deeply touched by each other. Jeffrey (from Newfoundland) and Kerri arrived to join David and Kirsten, Kate, Phil and Mary, Barb V., Dana, and later in the day, with Paul, Jonathon and Daybree. Another fun effort in the kitchen with many hands joyfully working together (four or five pairs of hands), to produce an abundance that left alot of delicious leftovers. :-) The meals are a communion in multiple meanings of the word "Communion." A gathering went on after dinner, which started in the kitchen, and then moved into the Sunrise Room, while Bob popped three big pans of popcorn. Everyone popcorned away sacredly, sharing their life's experiences and what they had learned, and...........unlearned. Kerri played the flute and transported all of us to peaceful and joyous dimensions. ............................................................ Thursday, August 25, 2005 Bob and Kathy Everybody was up early to see Daybree, Jonathon and Kate, off for Florida. In the afternoon Barb V. left for Madison, after all of us had shared profound and hilarious stories with one another. Another great supper with venison roast buried in 6 baked yellow onions and 15 red potatoes, pasta, mushroom sauce, home made pesto (from Kathy), breads, fruits, Mary's scrupmtious cucumber salad, and as always, with EVERY MEAL, lots of WATERMELON, and just picked veggies. We followed 4 big bowls of popcorn into the Sunrise Room where we watched a condensation of the six hours of The three Matrix movies, into an 80 minute editing of the most significant parts. Lots of sharings afterwards, accompanied by frequent laughter, and, A-HA-s of insight. ................................. Friday, August 26, 2005 Bob and Kathy Everybody was up early to say goodbye to Jeffrey and Kerri. David and Kirsten went to the Portage Levee River Walk, Dairy Queen, and swimming at Silver Lake Beach in Portage. Brian from Montana arrived to spend a fascinating evening of hilarity and profound sharings. There was a particular two hour period that was VERY BOISTEROUS! Phil, Mary, Dana and SpongeBarb spent the day interacting, sharing meals, and resting. Brian had followed our tasty directions to the drive-in popcorn stand in Portage and brought in a family sized buttered bag that was shared as a late evening snack while chatting in the Sunset Room. A very, very joyful day, for all present. ......................................................... Saturday, August 27, 2005 Bob and Kathy Brian left early to attend sessions at the Miracles Healing Center near Wisconsin Dells. Herb arrived from the Chicago area and we took three vehicles to Mike's beautiful and wooded sanctuary, near Wisconsin Dells. Among the friends we chatted with there, were Mike, Rebecca, Lee, Prem, Monty, etc. Bob left early with SpongeBarb to pick up his mom, who had been at the emergency room the previous evening. Victor and Eva, with Victor's friend Flossie, joined us for a card playing shootout in the Sunrise Room. Bob was the top gun, today. :-) David, Kirsten, Steve, Herb, Phil, Mary, and Kathy went to a Chinese Restaurant in Portage and then to nearby Silver Lake Beach. Those seven, showed up in three vehicles and joined the six of us already at Bumpity. Lots of chinese and other leftovers were followed by Bob's making and serving an initial eleven root beer floats (several went further, on their own). Bob and SpongeBarb took mom home after they had walked up to the Levee River Walk to look for Mars. Steve, Dana, SpongeBarb and Herb chatted about ACIM around the kitchen table, reading and discussing. It is a blessing, felt by all, to share meals, minds, and mirth, throughout the day. .............................. Sunday, August 28, 2005 Bob and Kathy Steve went to the white sands and refreshing waters of Silver Lake Beach in Portage, as did Kirsten and David. Later, Kathy, Bob, Herb, Kirsten, and David met Don and Mary (from Middleton) at the Parthenon Greek Restaurant on State Street in Madison, just two blocks from the capital building. After eating greek food such as salads, gyros, deserts, etc., and listening and watching Greek singers and dancer on their oversized screens, the seven of us sat on park benches, facing each other, on State Street, just gabbing and people watching. What a treat it was to watch and interact with these dear ones, framed in a background of State Street, the stores, trees, and steady stream of people, walking by in the early evening. Then, Mary returned to Middleton, and the six of us went to the Market Square Theater to watch Crash, which we all enjoyed with its many examples of how lives and thinking were changed by events and a suddently different way of thinking. Then we drove Don home to Middleton, drove north on the interstate to Portage, stretched our legs at Kwik Trip, and arrived home about 1 p.m. Herb and Bob were the last to hit the hay at about 4:30 p.m., after sharing many moving experiences and life changing thoughts and events. It has been week chock full of adventure, fun, food, and friends, who have all come to be family. A week full of joyful tears, and exuberant cheers. ........................ Monday, August 29, 2005 Bob and Kathy Barb and Bob were up early chatting in the Sunrise Room, before Barb, (now also known as SpongeBarb, because of her continual absorbing of everything said and going on around her), left to return to Madison. Herb used one of Kathy's guitars and sang a mini-concert of songs that he, Herb, had written. Then Herb returned to Apple Holler in Illinois, Bob spent much of the afternoon on the sofa in the Sunrise Room, Dana rested in the magical Sunrise Room, and Steve headed for the beach in Portage. David and Kirsten walked the mile a half to the top of the hill called, The Top Of The World, which is also the title of one of Bob's songs. Later we finished up the home-made vegetarian vegetable soup, Kathy made stir fries, and Kirsten made root beer floats. Then, everyone watched a video movie from the Portage library while Bob brought this daily journaling up to date. ....................................... Tuesday, August 30, 2005 Bob and Kathy Meals and laughter. Profundity and the profane Living out one's spiritual values in community. Finding family in the NOW of harvesting vegetables, preparing meals, joining in as one is moved, and coming and going as one desires. Freedom of expression, and choice of activities and/or companions. Mom and Victor and Mother Superior shooting it out with Bob at the O.K. Corral Card Table. A dozen or so friends, each a star, continually changing orbit throughout the day, as they are moved by the orbits of other stars. Shifting galaxies of friendship and awareness. ...................... Wednesday, August 31, 2005 Bob and Kathy Madison bound for a double feature of the two dollar afternoon movie ticket sat the Market Sqauare Theater. David and Steve, Kathy and Bob, joining with Don who drove in from Middleton. Each of us seeing our movies of choice and then boarding the "86 Caddy BumpityMobile to surf the interstate back to rural Portage. Then a shared supper with Dana, Leroy, David and Kirsten, Phil and Mary, Pam, and Dana.
