This will be our 37th Oak Park Show & our 32st showing in this area (which is, we believe, the best possible area for a show in Oak Park). This excellent show is held in what is the shopping area for Oak Park, a healthy, vibrant area. Oak Park is the nurturing grounds for entire schools of Visual & Performance Arts, Architecture & Literature and has many tourists attractions. Scoville Park is located in the heart of Oak Park with the show held Friday & Saturday to take advantage of the best time for customers. Exclusive shops, restaurants abound in this well established, ever growing downtown shopping district surrounded by exclusive residential area. Customers travel long distances to see & shop the show! Those who patronize this area are very interested in high quality art work. Stores are very cooperative. Extensive publicity plus advertising & many posters/flyers distributed directly to customers. Area is easily accessible via public transportation & has been very busy late Fri. with those on the way home from work. Area includes Frank Lloyd Wright House. Has been highly recommended by area members. We've even done very well here when it has rained! An outstanding show! Most every (maybe all) spaces located on grass - possibly a few on brick/concrete. DIRECTIONS From Downtown Chicago - take I-290/Eisenhower Expressway W. to Harlem Ave/IL-43 Exit from left lane, turn right (N.) onto Harlem Ave & travel about 1 one mile. Turn right onto Lake St. From Evanston/North Chicago - Take I-94 East/Edens Expy E toward Chicago - keep straight, take ramp right for I-90 East/I-94/ Kennedy Expy East toward Ryan Expy/Indiana. At exit 51 H-1, take ramp right for I-290 West Eisenhow Expy W toward West Suburbs, proceed 10 miles to exit 21B, take ramp left & follow signs for HarlemAve/IL-43. Turn right on S. Harlem Ave. travel about 1 mile - turn right onto Lake St. From Western Suburbs - From most locations take either Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) or I-88 extension to I-290. Exit fromthe left lane onto Harlem Ave. Turn left (N) onto Harlem Ave for about 1 mile past overhead "L" tracks to Lake St. Turn right onto Lake St. Go east on Lake St. From Midway Airport - take Cicero Ave No to Roosevelt Rd - turn left on Roosevelt & travel about 2 miles to Ridgeland Ave. Turn right (N) onto Ridgeland Ave & proceed west past East Ave (the next stop sign) Go about 2 miles on Ridgeland until Lake St (just past the overhead "L" tracks)then turn left onto Lake St. From O'Hare Airport - Exit airport on expressway I-190 then turn right onto River Rd & head South about 9 miles to North Ave. From North Ave turn right (S) onto Oak Park Ave. Turn right at Lake St.
