Canadian National Comic Book Expo 2000:
August 25-27,2000
Metro Toronto Convention Centre(255 Front Street West,next to Skydome in downtown Toronto).
Admission: $10(U.S.)per day.$20 for 3-day pass.
Friday 4pm-9pm
Saturday 10am-6pm
Sunday 11am-6pm.

Action Figures: DC Direct will have action figures of Cyborg,Raven,and Kid Flash for sale as well as,Cosmic Boy,Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl from The Legion of Superheroes.
Watchmen toys in mid-2001.There will be three waves of figures.Dr.Manhattan and the Comedian start off the set.The second will feature Silk Spectre and Nite Owl,with the third wave featuring Rorschach,Ozymandias and a mystery third figure.Expect the three assortments to ship every three to four months.
Also look for "Amazons and Adversaries",featuring Artemis,Cheetah and Ares to ship next spring,along with a deluxe two-pack featuring Aquaman and Aqualad.
The Hawkman & Hawkwoman(great accessories and sculpts) twin-packs are out,as well as Dr.Fate,Spectre,Starfire and Zatanna.
Rumor has it that McFarlane will produce a series of figures in 2001 with horror writer Clive Barker.
JAKKS Pacific has a new laser sculpt technology that digitally sculpts a person's face on a head mold to perfection!Don't believe me?Check out the WWF Titan Tron Series 6,this September and see for yourself.
Toy Vault will be producing figures based on the cult fave Farscape!Expect to see D'Argo,Crichton,Zhaan and Chiana.Another Universe will feature an exclusive mutated Aeryn figure.
Palisades will be coming out in early 2001 with figures from Ninja Scroll.Look for Jubei,Kagero,Shijima,Mushizo and Tessai.
Diamond Comic Distributors will offer three 9-inch series Famous Cover figures: Divas(The Scarlet Witch & Psylocke),Knights(The Punisher & Dr.Strange) and Villains(The Red Skull & Carnage).Each series will come a month or two after each other and will ship seperately.
In late 2000 expect to see the Dark Side.A 6-inch four figure line that includes Man-Thing,Dormammu,Vermin and Dr.Strange's astral form.
Early 2000 will see the 6-inch Mutant X line,featuring Havok,Goblin Queen,Bloodstorm and Brute.
The next assortment of Buffy figures will feature Oz,Giles,Xander,Cordelia and another Buffy figure.
Toy Biz has got the green light to do figures based on The Lord of The Rings trilogy.
Card games:
The Trouble with Tribbles expansion for Decipher's Star Trek CCG is in the works..and it's two games in one!The game is designed for two to four players.The expansion will be followed by a four-player game that will have the UNO style flavor.The cards in the game,however,will not be comatible with the regular Star Trek CCG.The game is scheduled to ship at the same time as The Trouble with Tribbles expansion.It will provide over 140 new cards and will be the first release for the Star Trek CCG that includes pre-constructed decks.One Federation and one Klingon.It also brings the classic characters from the original Star Trek series into the game.
Wizards of the Coast has acquired a new aquisition...Last Unicorn Games.Last Unicorn Games is responsible for games based on Star Trek and Dune properties.
Wizards of the Coast will also be coming out with The Looney Tunes Trading Card Game,due out his fall.This will be a family-oriented game,which will have a play style similar to hearts or spades.
The WWF Raw Deal collectible card game will feature everyone's favorite wrestlers,by Comic Images.The game will ship with seven unique starters designed to take advantage of the wrestler and his abilities.
Video games:
Sony PlayStation 2 is due out October 26,2000.
Sony will also have KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child out this fall.Based on the comic,as a member of the KISS army,players in this first person shooter must search the four worlds for the Nightmare Child while mowing down demon hordes that act as the Child's protectors.
Also,look for the release of Final Fantasy IX this fall.Look for more fantasy base,than the previous techno-magic mix.
