VCR Alert!: Cartoon Network is doing a great job with anime`.So is Fox.!Tenchi Muyo on Cartoon Network is another great work.Honor.Duty.Love.Space Police.Pirates and the kitchen sink.Watch this show.Mon-Fri 6PM,ET.

Television: TRANSFANS: Beast Machines has finally arrived in the states for it's second season. It's been sub-titled "Battle for the Sparks",but other than that, there are no differences from when it first aired in Canada. There are 13 episodes in all.The eps are as follows: Fallout,Savage Noble,Prometheus Unbound,In Darkest Knight,A Wolf in the Fold,Home Soil,Sparkwar: Pt 1-The Strike,Sparkwar: Pt 2-The Search,Sparkwar: Pt 3-The Seige,Spark of Darkness,Endgame: Pt 1-The Downward Spiral,Endgame: Pt 2-When Legends Fall, and Endgame: Pt 3-The Seeds of the Future.
Trust me when I say that these are MUST SEE eps!Noble and Botanica are some refreshingly new and interesting characters. They each add to the show. Also, make sure to checkout Silverbolt's new upgrade and attitude! There's about five new characters that have been added and each one has their own uique personality, which they bring to the show.
FANS OF "BIG GUY & RUSTY THE BOY ROBOT": Sony has delivered a full 26 episodes to Fox Kids Network to run the episodes over the summer or as an added scheduling bonus for early 2001!!
Action Man: A fully digtized show that finally makes him cool! There were other animated and live action shows that fell very short of this.Alex Mann is an extreme sports athlete who has the ability to "see" which course of events will happen based on mathmatical abstracts and calculate which course of action would be best to take in a given situation. This, makes him highly sought after by the villains of course.
Cyber 6 has an animated look that looks like a cross between G.I.Joe Extreme and Mighty Max,but it works.By day she dresses as a male teacher and at night she's a crimefighter. She's apparently the failed experiment of somemad scientist. His son is a kid who has a serious Napoleon complex. The show bears further watching.
The new Digimon eps are here and they've started with a digi-bang!So far,the main digimon seems to be a blue and white lizard like creature named Veemon who digivolves into Flamedramon and uses flame attacks. It's easy to see how each new kid and their digimon are based off of the previous digidestined and their digimon. The same goes for the villain.Everyone's just had an upgrade, including the new digi-devices.The good part is,it's all still fun and they even have the original kids and their digimon in it,as mentors that help out the new guys.Plus, the new digimon get to have a new upgrade called,"digiarmor".

Comics: Superman is trapped in a world that's run by The Joker! It seems somehow that Joker has acquired control over Mr.Mxyzptlk and isusing him to remake the world in his own warped image.
In Captain America,Protocide(The first recipient of the super soldier serum),has gone on his first actual mission for A.I.M.(Advanced Idea Mechanics) and has apparently mortally wounded(?) U.S.Agent.
Universe X the sequel to last year's hit 14 issue Earth X series is out and it takes place 3 years after the end of the first series. This time Nighthawk and Gargoyle are the narrators much like X-51 was for Earth X.This series is also 14 issues and there is talk that there may be a third installment. The story currently centers on the return of Captain Marvel and The Human Torches that Reed Richards has set-up around the world.
Mark Waid is off to a serious bang,as he takes over writing chores for JLA.He has Ra's Al Ghul systematically and VERY creatively, take out the entire League. It's a 4-part story and the 3rd part is currently out.If you haven't picked it up,because Grant Morrison left, you're missing out on some good stuff!
Also,Marvel's 3-part fantasy "Avataars Covenant of The Shield",is out.It depicts the Marvel Universe in a fantasy setting with Captain America as their version of King Arthur.

Movies: The X-Men movie is definitely going to have sequels.Expect to see The Beast and several other mutants that didn't make it in the first flick. The villains may be either Proteus or the Setinels. Its still VERY sketchy at this point.
Mark Wahlberg and Jet Li are teaming up to do a movie remake of The Green Hornet.Spider-Man is rumored to be out in November 2001.The villains will be,The Green Goblin and Dr.Octopus.This November look for Batman Beyond: The Return of The Joker to go direct to video.
"I was born under the Star of Death.I'm destined to be alone forever."This starts off the story of "A Man Called Hero".This is live-action anime` folks!Hero Hua is given his mother's family heirloom the Red Sword on the day he goes to see Master Pride.Master Pride's disciple Shadow strikes a close friendship with Hero. When Hero returns he finds his parents dead. His father did an article about opium dealers in their community and they found out and killed them.Hero goes to the men responsible and kills them. Then, after making love to his wife Jade he leaves for America.
Later Jade and her brother Sheng arrive in America to look for Hero. After some trouble they find him.Jade is 4 months pregnant with twins.Shadow has also ventured to America to enlist Hero's aid.Their master has been challenged by his Japanese martial arts brother Master Invincible. He has sent a group of ninjas after them: Jin,Mu,Fire,Water and Earth. And yes, they all have elemental powers.
When the two masters battle in the rain for possesion of the Chinese Secret(a very powerful martial arts ability),they use water attacks against each other!Master Invincible loses because his heart has too many distractions. So what does he do?He kills his wife and son, then blinds himself,so he'll have no distractions while he trains to batte Hero who has now been passed the secret. They have a GRANDE battle on top of the Statue of Liberty that you've gotta see to believe.Highly recommended! 4 1/2 out of 5.
