WAITING FOR WINGS Do all good girls go to heaven? Can bad girls go there too? I have been waiting for my wings to fly. I have not seen them, do you? I kneel with arms stretched out please send me wings I pray. I have been a good girl today. So I can fly away. Do all good boys go to heaven? Can bad boys go there too? Do they wear wings so they can fly. I imagine yes they do. Is it right to say I am not ready I have not done my time on earth. Is it right to say I am calling you, but my prayers are not heard. Maybe there was something I forgot that I should do. I remembered to say my prayers today asking for your blessings on a few. God Bless, Mom and Dad, and the sad, and poor, and prayed for world wide peace. The little children everywhere, and the old and sick in despair. I laid my hand on my address book and said please bless them too. I met a begger asking for some food. I took him in and fed him, when I turned he wasn't there. I saw a child crying in the street. I asked what's wrong he said, "I am lost and far from home." I held him in my arms, and said,"soon you will be home." I left him on his doorstep, I turned and he was gone. A homeless lady was sitting on the bench. She had no coat to cover her from the freezing cold. I thought a moment looking into her lovely eyes, and put my coat around her, to see her beautiful smile. I walked away then looked back and she had disappeared. On my way home, I glanced down at a passerby. He had no shoes on his feet. I thought my oh my. I tapped him on the shoulder, said "please come follow me." We walked into a shoe store, I said "sir please give this kind man shoes and socks he needs. As I walked to go out, I turned to look back when, I saw the shoeless man too had disappeared. I am an Angel waiting for her wings, and when my time on earth is done and all I need to do has ended. So I can fly home. When the scale of good and bad is weighed. I will surely remember then, the one thing I forgot. Your wings aren't given for good or bad, but for the deeds you've done.
