RAIN DROPS & ICE CASTLES

Pitter, patter, pitter, patter raindrops
falling down.
Raindrops falling down from the skies
up above into the icy cold below.
Forming ice castles on the windows.
Each design so unique not two alike
do I see.

A beautiful rainbow of colors shown
with the sun shining through the window
glass.
Melting the ice castles like tears
sliding down the window pane.
Where did all the ice castles go to.
They were their not to long ago.

I would gaze upon each one, tracing
the outlines with my fingertips.
Melting from my touch my
fingertips feeling cold.
Oh, how I loved the ice castles
forming on my windows in the
cold.

Ice castles on the snow under
skies the color of blue and gold.
Lasting a winter time of cold
to look upon so beautiful to behold.

Raindrops and Ice Castles, where
do you go.
When winter is gone and spring comes
around.
The suns heat melts you into puddles
on the ground.

You were just here a moment ago.
You will return next year I know.
That's a promise of the returning
of winter and it's undying cold.
Building Ice Castles in the snow.
