SOMEDAY-MAYBE Someday-Maybe I will grow up and be an adult. But for now I will stay a kid. I get to do nothing all day but play. Play with a friend, take long boreing naps, and watch cartoons. Weekends are my favorite days, Saturday and Sunday. I get to go on-line, chat for hours on end. Stay up all night if i want to. Sleep all day if I can. I go out to eat or order it to go. I can even watch a horror show. I stay in when it snows, stay in when it rains. I only go out if it's sunny again. I can talk to my friends on the telephone. Sometimes I like even being alone. When Monday comes that's a whole new story. I put the child away and the adult comes out. OH GLORY!! I go to work to make some money. Just to pay the bill's. I make TV Dinner's, now that's a thrill. I go to bed early, can't stay up late. My favorite show will have to wait. Instead of cartoons, I read the morning news. What else does an adult have to do. Decisions, Responsibilities, Appointments to keep. From Monday to Friday the kid in me sleeps. I count the days til Saturday comes. Until then I am always on the run. Then OH'BY GOLLY, its Saturday morning, and thats when the kid in me comes out to have some fun. Someday-Maybe, I don't think so!!
