He loved her so that one day he went to her father Chief Eagle and asked if he could take his daughter, Doe Of The Forrest to be his forever. "You are to give her a gift, and if she accepts it, then she has given you her heart in return, and will become your bride forever", answered her father. He remembered the first time he saw her. Bathing in the cool waters of the river. Her long black hair wrapped around her body. Her skin the look of silk. His heart fell in love with her. Chief Eagle appointed the brave warrior to watch over his daughter, that no harm should come to her. The brave warrior watched over and protected, Doe of the Forrest for many a day. They grew together in each others eyes. He would catch her watching him, as he stood guard. Every day she went to the river to bath, he would look the other way. Til that day he saw her beauty, and desired her so. As his eyes strayed wanting to know. He knew she saw him watching as she dove under swimming to the other side of the trees. Thinking he couldn't see. The best gift he could give her was his Stallion Wildfire who he loved above all things. The next day, reins in hand Wildfire and the brave warrior walked to the river, to wait for Doe of the Forrest to appear. As she did he walked out of the trees with Wildfire at his side and putting his hand out holding the reins to her waited. She looked into his eyes, then taking the reins, smiled at the brave warrior.
