INDIVIDUAL DECEASED PERSONAL FILE (IDPF)

Held by the Dept. of the Army, US Total Personnel Command, Alexandria, VA
IDPFs: COM PERSCOM ATTN: TAPC-PAO Alexandria, VA 22332-0404 Each deceased soldier has one...and any and all information pertaining to their deaths are found in those files...so if a B-29 crewman was executed and they located his remains in 1948, this info would be in there. When you write for the files, say the magic words: "I request the IDPF under the FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT." If you don't mention the FOIA, you won't get it. Give them the complete name, rank, and if possible, the serial number, bomb group, squadron, date shot down, etc.
The above info comes from Henry Sakida Auther & Researcher We look forward to seeing his book due out soon !
Thank You Henry !
