I waited close to 15 years for this day!

(That' was my loaded `72 Cougar XR7 in the forground.....she's long gone now.)

Finally, after the engine compartment sat empty for 15 years, the new `71 Boss 351 Engine is in place.

Here you can see the guide plates and spring seat cups that were used on Boss 351's. Note the Lakewood "muscle mounts" that limited engine twist to a 1/4". The mounts also featured a center bolt that kept the mount from separating under high H/P. Note the small diameter crank pulley used on just the Boss 351 engine. (All other Cleveland engines used the standard large dia pulleys.) You can also see the rare Ford D0ZX 351-C aluminum water pump housing, in which I installed a heavy duty Ford Motorsport bearing / shaft assembly, and also a `70 Boss 302 curved blade impeller. The `70 Boss 302 impeller used 10 HP less at 7000 rpm than a straight blade 351C impeller did.

Those are Big Block Chevy 1.7 rockers shown, but they have since been changed to 1.8 ratio full roller Harland Sharps, also for a BBC.
