We at One Way Holiness Church believe that one has to follow the teachings of the apostles Jesus chose before He ascended back to his Father. They are found in.

Acts 1:13 "And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Al-phae'-us, and Simon Ze-lo'-tes, and Judas the brother of James". Last, but not least, Paul.

In obedience to the doctrine, every one that hears and believes that Jesus died and rose from the dead, and repents and is baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins, (fully immerged, not sprinkled) will be saved and will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:38

After one has complied with God's command for remission of sins, he or she must continue in the apostle's doctrine. See
Acts 2:42 "And they continued stedfastly in the apostle's doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayer."

Note that many times when God's true ministers who have repented of their sins, been baptized in water, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, would give instruction on how to receive salvation, one usually would tell what they had already done. (I'm speaking as a presbyter).
But look what they did after hearing what Peter had instructed in
Acts 2:39-41 "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." And with many other words did He testify and exhort, saying, "Save yourselves from this untoward generation." Then they that gladly received His word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. As you can see, they were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
This is the only given way to be baptized in the Bible, for the NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH.

Matt. 28:16-20 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw Him, they worshipped Him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. A-men."

Notice carefully, please, that the doctrine of baptizing was given to the eleven disciples of Jesus Christ, Himself. Let's continue.
Mark 16:15-16 And He said unto them, (He being Jesus) "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."
Luke 24:45-49 Then opened He their understanding, (the disciples) that they might understand the scriptures, and said unto them, "Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."

John 20:21-23 Then said Jesus to them (the disciples) again, "Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you." And when He had said this, He breathed on them and saith unto them, "Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whosoever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whosoever sins ye retain, they are retained."

Note if one would read what Jesus has given his disciples, the only conclusion that could be drawn is they had the power to remit sins. Then if one would read what is in the word of God, and believe it, they too will receive remission of their sins, and the gift of the Holy Ghost, and begin to speak with tongues as the Spirit gives them utterance. My friend, this and only this, is God's plan for man's redemption.

Note with this equation (Matt 28:16-20) + (Mark 16:15-16) + (Luke 24:45-49) + (John 20:21-23 ) = Acts 2:38. Then Peter said unto them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Lets look at other confirmations in the word as to identifying the true church. Lets start with what Jesus preached to sinners after the Spirit was upon Him.

Matt. 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, "Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand".
Note this was after He had himself been baptized of John.
Matt. 3:13-17 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, "I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?" And Jesus answering said unto him, "Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness." Then he suffered him.
Here we see that it is a righteous thing with God for one to be baptized. After Jesus was baptized He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

Matt. 4:1-11 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He was afterward an hungered. And when the tempter came to him, he said, "If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But He answered and said, "It is written, MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDETH OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD." Then the devil taketh Him into the holy city, and setteth Him up on a pinnacle of the temple, and saith unto Him, "If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down; for it is written, HE SHALL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE CONCERNING THEE: AND IN THEIR HANDS THEY SHALL BEAR THEE UP, LEST AT ANY TIME THOU DASH THY FOOT AGAINST A STONE." Jesus said unto him, "IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN, THOU SHALT NOT TEMPT THE LORD THY GOD."

After reviewing the 2nd chapter of the book of Acts, one can plainly see that the apostles didn't preach the gospel until they had received the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 1:8, "But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in Ju-dae'-a, and in Sa-ma'-ri-a, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Then, and only then, did the apostles preach the one and only plan of salvation to the world. It is mentioned numerous times in the book of Acts, that the Apostles preached remission of sin in the name of Jesus. Acts 8, 10, 19, and so on. Look at Luke 24:44, And He said unto them, "These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me." Luke 24:45-49 will explain Jesus' command to preach repentance and remission of sins.
Here we also can see from the scriptures that there is no way that the apostles could have made a mistake, seeing that Jesus himself opened their understanding.
Luke 24:45
