Lets began by looking at true prophecies. The word did say that we are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone. Ephesians 2:20 (KJV). True Christians, are indeed built on this one and only foundation, thus establishing them as true and not false. Unlike those today that have "came by letter, believed in their hearts, or said the sinners prayer". This is why they can't reconize the false prophets when they hear them, they haven't been built on the true foundation. (KJV) Jeremiah 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD. (STAY WITH ME IN SCRIPTURE) (KJV) Jeremiah 23:17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you. ( Note ) Look at what a supposed Prophet of God is telling the people that God told him to tell them. Just (LYING). I might say also that, all a false prophet will ever do is lie. (KJV) Jeremiah 23:18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it? ( Note ) Can most or any of these fellows today truly say that they have stood in the counsel of the LORD, and heard Him? Not many would dare to say that God have said, Not this GARBAGE they are spitting out. We know that a Prophet in every sense of the word, is one that is sent by God, and speaks God's word, and nothing else. (KJV) Jeremiah 23:31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. ( NOTE ) Do you get the message what the true Prophet of God is relating to you and I. " Thus said the Lord" has always been a favorite of the false, who know very well that YES the LORD does say to the man of God, and He or She will speak what He (GOD) actually said. But the false will utter lies, lies, lies. Look at this passage. (KJV) Jeremiah 14:14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. ( NOTE ) Every time someone tell you that the Lord said this or that, you must weigh out what is declared to have been said by God whether it is His words or not. My friend most of the time it is very easy to identify His voice from the false. The clue to this discernment is, one must have the spirit of God. But the natural man receiveth not the of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV). Yes the age of false Prophets are upon us, and it is flourishing. Every mouth that opens, and spues out some type of prophecy today one can very well tell if it has come from God if he or she has indeed God's Spirit. Look at this one, "MONEY COMMETH TO ME NOW!". Can you believe this? Our Lord warned us through the Apostle John, to believe not every Spirit. (KJV) 1 John 4:1-6 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Well Praise the Lord, We know Him that is true. Not only that, but also those that are called by Him. You must hear the voice of God through the Apostles. In order to know them you must have fellowship with them and the only way you can do that is to have the same Spirit that was in the Apostles. This came to them on the day of Pentecost. Look at Acts 2nd chapter (KJV). That which was with them (The Apostles) who all had from that day of (true Prophecy) came as the Prophet Joel said. MY friend truth will never mix with a lie. God is not a man that He should lie. If He spoke it, it shall come to pass. This is another way you can tell a true Prophet of God, as God spake it happened, so it is with the Prophet of God. Ezekiel 33:31 And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them. (KJV). Yes when a Prophet of God speaks that of God, whether foretold or present, it shall and will come to pass. We also can assure you our reader that what God said in his word is a true word of prophecy. If you would look with me as to what the word says, as we refer, then you will also see the truth unfold before your eyes. Yes I said that the age of falsehood is upon us. Jesus warned of false Prophets, when he taught his disciples. Matthew 24:3-5 (KJV) And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. I'll ask this question, who do you think Jesus was refering to as being deceived? Was it the Disciples, (NO) or was it the world? (YES) the world. This "Church World" that we live in today is what my Lord was refering to. Mark 13:4-6 (KJV) Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (NOTE) Jesus always warned of false prophets, so that His followers would know them, whenever they were confronted with one of them, His chosen disciples, and ourselves. Look at this chapter in Mattew Mathew 23 Here you will see that Jesus delt with the false extensively. The religious were not spared, refering to them as, "Hypocrites, Fools, Blind, Serpents, Vipers" and so on. Letting them know that they will not escape the damnation of HELL. Note My friend, I said that based on scripture we will look at true prophecy, showing that God's word is true, and that we that are true Christians are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, and Jesus Christ, being the chief cornner stone. Lets look at a few more passages of our Holy Word, and I will close. 2Peter 2:1-7 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds.
