BRONZED TO BEAT -- THE SIRE

The history of Bronzed To Beat and his kids. No pictures on this site have been computer enhanced.

2008 Has Been Another Good Year!
The expenses of showing having kept many at home but we have done well at the few shows at which we have competed.

Dun Remarkably went to the IBHA World Show and came home Reserve World Champion 2 yr old stallion and Grand Champion stallion at the Warm-up To The World Circuit. He also was Grand Champion stallion and circuit champion at the IBHA Congress. For the third year in a row, he won his class at the Indiana Quarter Horse Association Futurity.

Bronzed To Beat's grand kids are now hitting the show circuits. His buckskin maternal granddaughter, Ms Remarkable, owned by Jerry Whitaker of Indiana, won Grand Champion mare and Circuit Champion Weanling mare at the Warm-up To The World Circuit. She is the IBHA Reserve World Champion weanling mare. She won the Indiana Quarter Horse Association Futurity. A buckskin paternal granddaughter. owned by Chuck Allen of Iowa, won the weanling filly class at the IBHA Congress. Casper's gene are still strong!

At the September BHAM show a Bronzed sired yearling stallion went Grand Champion and a Bronzed sired mare went Reserve Grand Champion. These horses were owned and shown by different individuals, and neither person was related to Bronze's owner or managers.

2006 FUTURITY CONGRATUALATIONS TO BRONZE'S KIDS AND THEIR OWNERS

Cut Me Red Roses, 2006 chestnut filly, Owner/Breeder/Exhibitor Randy Myers from Indiana. Rosie was Grand Champion Late Weanling Filly, in both the open class and the non-pro, at the Northern Ohio Quarter Horse Futurity on September 24. Prior to that show,Rosie had been shown at three other futurities, Southern Ohio, Eastern Ohio, and Indiana Quarter Horse Associations Futurity, placing first through fifth in all. Rosie just gets better with age. Watch for her in 2007 on the Quarter Horse circuits.

The Bronze Patriot, 2005 buckskin stallion, on winning the Ohio State Buckskin Association Futurity class of yearling halter stallions on September 10. He was also Grand Champion Stallion and Circuit Champion in the open portion of this show. Owner/Breeder/Exhibitor Ben & Tami Grandstaff from Ohio.

Hard To Stop A Comet, 2005 buckskin stallion, winner of yearling stallions at the ABRA Buckskin Congress. Comet was not shown until late in the show season because of his late birthday, June 26. It took him a while to catch up to those early born colts. In 2 shows he earned 4 halter points and one Grand Champion Stallion award. To be show in 2007 in halter and lounge line. Owner/Breeders Warren & Judy Nellis from Michigan.

Dun Remarkably, 2006 red dun stallion, my new show stallion. Bred and Exhibited by Jerry Whitaker, Dun Remarkably was the winner of the Indiana Quarter Horse Futurity (open and non-pro), Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Association winner of the non-pro furturity and 3rd in the open, and the Northern Ohio Quarter Horse futurities where he was third in both the non-pro and the open. Here is a great looking halter colt who also has the unusual coloring of a new penny with red highlights and lots of dun factor markings. Hopefully he will follow in his dams hoof prints as she was 2 time IBHA World Champion Mare and AQHA superior halter. Watch for him at both the IBHA and AQHA shows in 2007

LIL CASPER PRESENTS HIS SIRE, BRONZED TO BEAT

Lil Casper, our first APHA foal for 2005, at 3 days old. His sire, Bronzed To Beat, was dubbed Casper, the friendly ghost, when he was this age. He wanted to be friendly and come to be petted, but he was also shy because his dam told him not to trust humans. He also had the same color all over, including his mane and tail. He was almost white, what I called "barely beige". The pale little colt would stand behind his dam and peek out, then quietly come to be petted. Bronzed To Beat's golden buckskin color did show up until he shed out as a yearling. Lil Casper acts like his dad, thus the nick name. Lil Casper is a buckskin tovero, which was hard to determine until he got older, because he is so white with few spots. Only a golden medicine hat, flank and belly spots, and black polkadots on his pasterns. He was bred by Sapphire Stables of Iowa, owners Ruth and Alan Gilbert. His new owners are Debbie and Horace Page of Cleveland Texas. Lil Casper's APHA registered name is Ghostly Hint of Bronz, Watch for him at the paint shows in Texas. He is turning out to be quite the boy; beauty, size, muscle and wonderful disposition. He also has both the color genes to produce both tobianos and overos with the golden buckskin or palomino color, even from solid mares.

BRONZED TO BEAT

BEAUTY MADE BY GOD, NOT STEROIDS
What you see is what you get! Grown on foods and exercise natural to a horse, No fancy formula foods. No treadmills or swimming pools. You can expect the same in his foals.

Bronzed returned to the show ring over the 4th of July holiday 2002, to show his support for the Ohio State Buckskin Association at their Red, White, and Buckskin Circuit. The circuit turned out to be one of the largest in IBHA history, with many of the nations best stallions competing.
Bronzed earned the honor of Grand Circuit Champion Aged Stallion. He earned an additional 6 national halter points. From this one circuit, he placed 4th on the IBHA Honor Roll standings for 2002. At 11 years of age, Bronzed still had what it takes to be a winner.

HOW MANY OF THE GREAT (?) HALTER STALLION DO YOU THINK COULD GO BACK TO THE HALTER RING AND WIN AT AGE 11 ???
MOST OF THEM ARE LAME OR DEAD AT A MUCH YOUNGER AGE.

FOUNDATION PEDIGREE - MODERN LOOKS

A CHAMPION FROM ANY ANGLE

Pedigree -- The foundation of a sire

Bronzed To Beat has a pedigree to build on, for halter or performance. His pedigree is filled with "brand named" horses, who are champions and champion producers. Horses who competed and were successful in winning in most every event. Bronzed To Beat was bred to be a versatile performer. A freak accident occurred as a yearling, in which his leg was entrapped, thereby sustaining an injury which delayed the start of his halter career and ruined his chances of a performance career. He was broke to ride and showed promise. His old injury, would not allow him to withstand the rigors of training required for competition. Even though he was not able to be shown under saddle, the genes are still there. One need not go back three or four generations to find a horse which is well known in Bronze's pedigree. His sire was the great "Color Me Skip" an AQHA Champion, Superior Halter/Pleasure, Reserve World Champion Halter Stallion, and All Time Leading Sire of Halter Horses. Besides having over 50 points each in halter and western pleasure, Color Me Skip had points in barrels and poles. He received all of his performance points in just two months of showing. Color Me Skip is unique as a sire, because as well as siring World Champion halter horses, he produced AQHA Champions and World Champion performance horses. Bronzed To Beat's dam, "Ribbons Heart Beat" produced pleasure futurity winners, halter point earners and halter ROM. Bronze's full brother, Color To Beat, shown in four AQHA western pleasure futurities had placings of one win, two seconds and a third. Ribbons Heart Beat started her broodmare career at an early age, so was never shown. She was a very good horse to ride and was used to gather and sort cows. She was a powerful and athletic horse. Her sire was "Ribbon Page" AQHA Champion and AQHA Champion sire. Both of Ribbon Page's sire and dam had show and produce records. His sire, Jay Page was an AQHA Champion and sire of same. His dam, Dear's Lady Dell, had points in both halter and performance. She produced AQHA Champions and ROM's. She was sired by the great legend, Poco Dell, AQHA Champion and Leading Sire of AQHA Champions. Her dam, Dear's Lady was a halter and performance point earner, and the dam of multiple AQHA Champions and ROM's. The dam of Ribbons Heart Beat was sired by Hard To Beat who was an AQHA Champion and an Honor Roll Halter Stallion. His sire was another legend, Otoe, AAA AQHA Champion and Leading Sire of AQHA Champions. The pedigree continues with generations of Leading Sires and show horses that excelled in halter and multiple performance events to gain the ever respected title of AQHA Champion.

"LIKE PRODUCES LIKE, THE PRODUCT COMES FROM THE SEED."

Bronzed To Beat has NO BLOODLINES which trace to Impressive or Zippo breeding.

He is therefore a great outcross to these lines for the avoidance of genetic diseases like HYPP or HERDA..

BORN TO BE A SIRE * NOW PROVING IT

HIS FOALS HALTER AND RIDE

SIRE OF MULTIPLE HONOR ROLL WINNERS, WORLD SHOW PLACED, SUPERIOR HALTER, ROMS, FUTURITY WINNERS, AND POINT EARNERS IN AQHA, IBHA, PHBA, & ABRA.

Bronzed was bred to only 5 mares prior to 1998. 1998 was his first year to stand to the public and his first full foal crop was 1999.

SIRE OF HORSES THAT BRING JOY TO THEIR OWNERS

Bronze's foal have been more likely to take after him than they are their dams. The foals have increased height, attractive heads with big expressive eyes, long long elegant necks which tie in to the body well, nice toplines with good withers, good shoulder lay back, substance, long hip, straight legs with well angulated pasterns that have angulation matching the shoulder angulation. Correct conformation which keeps them sound. They are athletic and tend to have their sires level sweeping gait. Very few have been sorrel in color. The majority are buckskin with bay and palomino being the next commonly produced color. Half of the sorrel foals have had flaxen manes and tails. The foals tend to have Bronze's loving, people oriented, disposition. They are smart and inquizative.

THE BRONZED PATRIOT (Bruiser)

Bruiser is pictured, ready to go to the showring at the Memorial Day Circuit, at 15 months of age (5/29/06). He already stands 15-2 H tall and has his daddy's gorgeous metallic golden buckskin color and pretty face with big expressive brown eyes. He is gentle, intelligent, and loving. His dam is an ROM producing grulla mare, with Impressive Dandy and Poco Caz breeding. Bruiser is an excellent prospect for future super sire or outstanding show gelding. His only time shown, he was the winner of the OSBA Futurity. He has unlimited possibilities for showing, both in halter and performance. A candidate for Honor Roll or World titles.
**May 29,2006 Bruiser is shown at his first IBHA class, at which he is point eligible, at the Ohio State Buckskin Association's Memorial Day Circuit. He showed well and acted quite the gentleman that he is. He wins the yearling stallion class of 5 and goes Grand Champion Stallion under 3 judges. He is a multiple halter point earner on his first outing and Circuit Champion Stallion.
***September 10,2006. Bruiser goes to show at the OSBA Fall Show and Futurity. He wins the yearling futurity and goes Grand Champion Stallion under 3 of the 4 judges and Reserve Grand under the 4th. By doing so, he is the Circuit Champion Stallion. On a dare, he was entered in the yearling lounge line class at the last moment, all though he has not been in training for that event. He did a good controlled, free moving pattern but he did not stay in a lope for a complete round, as he is not used to loping when he is lounged at home. He still placed 5th. Being the laid back fellow that he is, he took a nap at ringside while waiting for his competitors to complete their longe line patterns. Unlike some other young stallions, no drugs or heavy restraints are required to keep him controlled. He naturally takes life as it comes and relaxs. Again we hear people in disbelief that he is only 1 1/2 years old. Somthing about born in August and hidden until January. Really, he was born on SuperBowl Sunday. With his owner being a Patriots fan, thus he got his name
****September 24. It is Bruiser's last show for the season. He has suddenly shot up again in the rear. He has lost no weight but appears thinner than he did 2 weeks ago because he is growing again. He receives 1 Grand and 3 Reserve Grands. He finishes the show season with 8 halter points, and with second place in the nation on the IBHA Honor Roll for yearling stallions.
****March 2007. Bruiser has a new owner, Roberto Laborion of Arizona and Mexico. Bruiser is to be the new herd sire for his ranch in Mexico. He will not begin his breeding career for another two years. He will be broke to ride and ridden first. I will miss seeing this good colt, who so resembles his Dad. I wish for Roberto that all his dreams will come true for this colt with God's blessings.

BC BRONZED (Tucker) - April 21, 2004 buckskin colt

Tucker has just began his show career. He placed well at both the Indiana Quarter Horse and the Mid-American Buckskin Futurities, inspite of the fact that he was one of the youngest in his class. He is a beautiful buttermilk buckskin color now, but so was his Dad at this age, so he may become more golden with age. He is pretty now and he is going to be gorgeous. We expect great things from him in the future. He has a head and neck that is second to none. He is well muscled, short backed and has a big hip that ties down low. He is going to have the width and height of his sire. Besides his physical attributes, he has a sweet, quiet disposition. Tucker has "The Look Of Eagles". Tucker is HYPP N/N.
