A very simple yet fully adjustable mounting bracket allows these wind deflectors to mount along any portion of all aftermarket crashbars. They can adjust for tilt, angle forward to rear and can also rotate to assure perpendicular alignment to the bike. They can also fold back, flat, when not needed.
Infinite adjustability allows the rider to find their personal "sweet spot" where airflow is directed over and around knees and legs. Designed specifically for inline crashbars. No drilling or alterations required to mount.
UNIVERSAL-FIT shield keeps soft luggage off of the hot surface of most of the popular aftermarket exhaust systems and many stock mufflers also, preventing possible injury to the passenger's leg. It can also be positioned on the top surface of the muffler to protect the underside of luggage from contact on many sport bike models. Fits from 4 1/4 inch to 6 inch diameter oval or round pipes. Left and right side fit for the DL1000.
One advantage of soft luggage is that it can be positioned any distance rearward to allow less interference with the passenger's legs. When this is done however, oftentimes the luggage can "fold over" the edge of the muffler putting it directly in the path of the muffler tip with the exhaust gas essentially blowing (or melting) a hole through the luggage.
This new heat shield has an offset bracket that allows it to be slid back on the muffler past the tailpipe tip, preventing this type of damage.
Although similar to a standard tubular guard, I've added a shield that allows luggage to sit more squarely against its surface. The guard also helps fill in a vacant spot on the left side of the bike and looks good even when luggage is not being used.

After having a number of Stromers inquire about possibly having a luggage guard that would double as a storage tube holder we've put together an alternate design for the standard luggage guard. It features a different shield design with recessed areas along the top edge to keep web straps or stainless steel bands that would hold a storage tube in place.
Alternate style shield designed to mount an Agri-Tube storage tube.
This was a great suggestion from a fellow Stromer. I used a material that we have quite a bit of experience with, black 1/4" ABS plastic, for the frame and a diamond pattern expanded sheet grille that matches the air ducts on the nose.
The guard attaches on each side using the left and right cowl-to-radiator bolts and sits flush against the radiators caps allowing 1/2 inch between it and the radiator core. I've also added felt pads to the back of the guard to avoid possible scuffs or marring to the radiators caps.
This oil cooler guard replaces the stock item to assure better protection from rocks, sticks, etc. The nylon material is highly impact-resistant and resists dings, dents and sandblasting.
While on a ride with a fellow weeStromer, he had made the suggestion that an item like this would be very useful for mounting toggle switches, indicator lights or even an ohmmeter. Large surface area allows installation of multiple switches, indicator lights and powerlets.
Made of 1/4" ABS, it can be easily drilled to accomodate any number of different switches or indicator lights, etc. Wires from these switches can be easily zip-tied to the main electrical harness from the ignition switch. Prevents unnecessary drilling or cutting of the upper portion of the cowling. Can be used with or without OEM cable hangers, accessory holes/slots provided upon request.
This magnetic cap provides protection for the vulnerable oil filter; 1/4 inch thick high impact plastic prevents damage from stones and kicked up road debris. *Note - The primary function of the magnets within this protective cover are to securely hold the cap in place. An added benefit could/would be retention of wear particles within the oil to the interior of the oil filter.
These deflectors add a distinctive look and help increase downforce. They can adjust inward or outward to provide the best overall effect. They have shown an ability to eliminate "wandering", a condition where small constant steering corrections need to be made at speeds over 40mph to keep the bike tracking straight. Tire choice, inspection of alignment and fork neck condition and adjustment had previously failed to eliminate this particular condition on my own bike.
This item has really helped with low back pain I've had over the past few years and really gives a secure feeling on long rides. It has 4 adjustments forward and back as well as infinite adjustability for tilt and allows seat removal without removing the backrest. Two goals I wanted to meet when designing the beackrest were not having to cut into the seat to mount it, and keeping the price far below the $500.00 to $600.00 after market seat/backrest combo's. Also compatible with aftermarket seats.
Unlike other aftermarket backrests that use the plastic seatpan to mount to as well as a single mounting post, this backrest mounts directly to the upper frame rails of the bike for maximum strength. The twin-mount arched tube supports prevent twisting of the backrest cushion for more secure support. When used in conjunction with panniers that also share this same mounting point minus the OEM tail rack, we recommend placing a spacer beneath the brackets to raise the mounting surface slightly above the plasticwork.
The backrest includes knobs so that it can be easily removed from its mounting brackets. Note: This backrest is for solo-use only and should be removed when a passenger is aboard.
This simple bracket attaches to the backside of the driver backrest arched supports and allows mounting of the standard sized Agri-Tube cannister (3" dia x 11"l). I came up with this project after a DL1000 owner brought up the subject mentioning he couldn't locate a spot on his Vee for an Agri-Tube. Unlike the DL650 the left side muffler takes up one of the only available spots where a tool tube could mount behind panniers.
This backrest is adjustable forward and back 3 positions for different size passengers and attaches quickly using the two knurled knobs. It also features twin support posts for added strength.
A fellow Stromer kindly offered up photos of his weeStrom outfitted with a really cool aftermarket golfbag carrier and contacted us inquiring as to whether my passenger backrest could be slightly modified to mount to his golfbag carrier mounting plate.
By shortening the backrest's mounting brackets the backrest fits perfectly on the mounting plate of the golfbag carrier.
Cushion alone with backing plate is available and can be attached to the face of a hard luggage topbox.
This aluminum platform attaches on top of the backrest brackets using the same two knobbed bolts that hold the passenger backrest in place. It can be used with or without the backrest mounted. Measures 10" x 12". Two holes placed at the rear corners will accept 1/4" bolts which, when installed from beneath, will provide a no-slip attachment point for bungees.
