~Tribute to "Lady"~
We purchased her in foal from a ranch I used to work for out of Canada, in 1994 at age 18. She had alway caught my eye, with the tiniest little head I'd ever seen! She had been a 4-H horse, and was now on the PMU line. That resulting '95 colored filly was sold to Minnisota as a 4-H project. "96 was the year "Dumpy" was born, and I just had to keep her!! Then I was fortunate to close a sale on a different weanling and yearling, but in the process, the buyer saw old "Lady" in the background of the video. She just had to have her!!! I was very reluctant at first, but came to realize "Lady" had been having more trouble with her bad leg in our wonderful winters, so off she went with the other two, all the way to Richmond, Virginia. In 1997 she foaled another blanketed colt relica of herself, sired by "Canadian Stock". Then in 1998, due to complications of abcesses and founder, "Lady" was peacefully laid to rest on a warm, sunny day in Virginia. We will always remember her kind, and quiet manner, and her big soft eyes. You were definitley one of "The Good 'Ole Girls".

~LADY~
