Simple Texture Samples

Apply the mud with your 6 inch knife...

Place your trowel on the mud and then pull it off, making big stipples.

The thickness of the mud you trowel on will determine how big your stipples are.

Then once again knock the stipples down with your knife.

Like the faux fossil rock, but thicker and not as lacey.

SIMPLE KNOCK DOWN

Lightly load your 6 inch knife with joint compound.

With a very light touch apply the mud to the wall with a dragging motion.

Very little mud is actually applied to the wall.

Gently knocking down leaving a knock down texture.
