When one thinks of inspiration for writing songs one doesn't usually think: bicycle. But in MY case, a 10-speed bike played a role in my writing thousands of original songs.
On August 19, 1985, I was riding a bicycle when I was sideswiped by a rude and inconsiderate old ( in her eighties ) woman. Injured and depressed by the accident ( as well as the cavalier way the person who hit me treated me --- she would have hit and run if other drivers hadn't stopped her AND she lied about me in her deposition ), I turned to prayer and to writing songs ( I often say that praying to Jesus saved my life and that writing songs saved my sanity). After I got online in September 1999 I decided to make some webpages to post the lyrics of some of my songs. There is only one tiny musical snippet of me ( found at the "My Songs" link below ). I am not yet in a financial position to record CDs and have MP3s up online. But then that's what hopes, dream and prayers are for! Cynthia Summers May 14, 2002 Hollywood, CA |
