MY DENFELD "SCRAPBOOK"

The 1944 "DENFELD NIGHT HAWK'S" Dance Band. Do you remember our "Theme" song? THAT GREAT Glenn Millers "Moon Light Serenade". Another song we played was " A NIGHT WITH THE NIGHT HAWK'S". No one remembers the melody. Can you help us?

This was sent to me by the internet from my buddy
Westley Ensign, Michigan City, Indiana. Trumpets: Richard Peterson (me) (second trumpet). and Dick Bartholomew (first trumpet). Trombone was Dorothy ?. Drums: Carl Swenson (just past away. Base Fiddle was Bob Olen. Piano was Joyce ? Sax: Wes Ensign, Rudy Monson, Wayne Samscar, (can't remember the rest). Singers were Geneva Oman and Cathy ? Help me on the other's.

Richard Peterson's old 1922 Ford Model "T" Tudor Sedan

Another picture sent to me by way of the Internet from Wes Ensign. Wes is leaning on the door and I am standing on the running board. Another "fun" toy we played with. I remember Wes driving this thing around and around the gas station on 39th west and grand untill he ran out of gas. Could not shut the thing off. Look close and you will notice it had a door on each side but placed in the CENTER of the body. You enter the door and turn one way to sit in front and turn the other way to sit in the back. Very rare. And my mother sold it (while I was in WW2 service) for $15.00 just to get it out of her back yard. At the same time she sold my 1930 Ford Roadster but got a whole $25.00 for that one. The value today? I own another one just like it. Baught it in the mid 1970's. My son (with my step daughter) drove Barb and me (riding in the rumble seat) to our wedding reception at Ridgeview Country Club on June 19th, 1983. Fun car and hard to find good one's. Maybe that is why I began to "save" my "toys".
