1966 Olds Cutlass convertible

This is our 66 Beauty! This car comes with attitude, and there's nothing better than riding down the road on a summers evening, enjoying the wind blowing thru your hair.

We're the 4th owners, we bought her in 1984 from a drag strip race driver/mechanic (Bob Harris). There's an Olds 403cc engine under the hood, and can boogie down the road. There's 196,000 miles on the body, the engine was changed at 100,000 miles. It has an automatic transmission, power disc brakes, power windows, power top, power seat, ac, cruise control, posi trac, turbo trans, every option that was offered in 1966 (except fm radio, only came with am, for some unknown reason), plus a few other extras.

I LOVE THIS CAR!

We had the whole exterior and interior redone in 1994. The paint had gotten so bad, it was time to fix or get rid of her. We did go out and test drive all the new convertibles, but they just weren't the same.

The paint color on her is "medium garnet red metallic", very close to the candy apple red a lot of you remember, or have heard of. There are so many coats of paint, you wouldn't believe! Something like 6 layers of primer, 5 layers of color, and 4 layers of clearcoat. The interior is the original color of "parchment".
