DAN
To Dan, the love of my life, this is my salute to you, and to all who wear the uniform of the United States of America, the best country on earth in which to live.

This is Dan, as a 19 years old soldier in the U.S. Army, ready to fight for his country. He was in Viet Nam for just a month before a Claymore Mine (ours) exploded and blew a hole in his skull, and schrapnel scattered thru out his body. But he was one of the lucky ones, he came home alive. Thank you God.

I especially want to thank the selfless medics, nurses, doctors, pilots, and everyone else who helped to bring Dan home so I could eventually meet him.

Let us not ever forget the men and women who are MIA/POW, or their families, who should never have to wonder what happened to their loved ones.

God Bless The U.S.A.
by Lee Greenwood
If tomorrow all the things were gone I´d worked for all my life
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife
I´d thank my lucky stars to be living here today
´Cause the flag still stands for freedom, and they can´t take that away
And I´m proud to be an American
Where at least I know I´m free
And I won´t forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I´ll gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
´Cause there ain´t no doubt, I love this land
God bless the USA
From the lakes of Minnesota to the hills of Tennessee
Across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea
From Detroit down to Houston, and New York to L.A.
Well, there´s pride in every American heart, and it´s time we stand and say
I´m proud to be an American
Where at least I know I´m free
And I won´t forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I´ll gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
´Cause there ain´t no doubt, I love this land
God bless the USA
