There's a 55 gallon show tank (freshwater) in the living room with community fish in it. It was a Christmas present 9 years ago. I'd only had 10 and 20 galions before, I never knew that these fish would get so big. Or multiply so much, the cory cats keep laying eggs, and we can't stop them!
I've finished remodeling the tank finally. I put in all new plants, added some fish, (had a big problem there, but is cleared up now),and can enjoy the new look the background has added.
Besides about 20 corys, there are 2 plecos, 3 kuli loaches, 4 rainbows, 12 neon tetras, 1 cardinal tetra, 2 rasboros, 4 swordtails, and 2 goldfish. Of course, this is always changing. Next month, who knows what may be added (or died?).

Dan built and stained the base for this tank, and did a wonderful job. It's probably sturdier than one you could buy. One side has shelves in it, the other is open, for the canister filter to fit into.
