I'm a 50something very happily married woman; been married for 23 years now and my hubby still spoils me rotten. I've worked for over 19 years at the same clinic, although I am now semi-retired. Which means I only work when they need someone to fill in here and there.
I am a Veterinary Technician, but after 13 years of it, I went to the front desk to be a receptionist. I have arthritis in my hips, and was having problems keeping up the pace you need to tech. I still do some x-rays, lab work, etc., whatever I can help with.
5 years ago, I had a complete hip replacement, and am in much better shape than I was. It's amazing how you appreciate the little things you can do again, after not being able to for a long while. I won't go into details, it would be boring. :-)
I am now having quite a bit of problems with the other hip, will need a have surgery on that one in a while, but not yet. At least I know a great Dr to do it :-)
Dan & Donna
I've always had pets: dogs, cats, birds, fish, snakes, rabbits, hamsters, g. pigs, mice, lizards, a rat, but NO spiders! (Although I now have a spider that lives on my Halloween page!) I was taught to have a great respect for all animals, and I try to pass that on to all I can.
Before I started this job, I volunteered at a local wildlife sanctuary taking care of the injured red-tailed hawks, kestrels, & owls. It was so exciting to go inside the cages with them to feed them. There was also fish and turtles I took care of for educational purposes.
As you might guess, animals have always been an important part of my life, and always will be. The other most important part of me is Dan. He's the best husband anyone could have, he's always willing to help me and my family and friends.
I'm not gonna brag about him too much though, anyone who knows us knows how I feel, (and I wouldn't want it to swell his head!). But 1 more thing, he can make me laugh!!!!!!!! His sense of humor is as good/sick as mine. I love him more than life itself. (ooh, mushy junk, yuk!)
********************* I LOVE MY WEBBIE! *********************
We bought a Phillips Magnovox Webtv Plus (MAT972) in July of 1998, and I've been hooked ever since. Then about a year later, they came out with Pagebuilder, and I was off! Of course, a printer was a necessity, then a scanner, LOL! Then more room to make and store more stuff; it will never end!
I added a laptop into this mix a while ago, love that too, but there is something about a webbie that a computer can't beat, so will be on both now :-)
Hope to see ya around the 'net somewhere.... :-) Thanks for dropping in!
