Dick Ayers, that golden / silver age artist, is still active, lettering, pencilling and inking, even coloring. He's been doing comic books since 1948 when he was assigned the Jimmy Durante Comic Book by Magazine Enterprises
after he had pencilled a couple of stories for Jerry
Siegel and Joe Shuster's comic book, Fumyman, in late 1947 -- 52 years ago and over 45,000 pages. He's still producing at the same drawing table and sitting in the same chair! His pencil, pen and brush are at the ready!
