Welcome!Hello and welcome to the DX-midAMerica picture page! First, my dx shack. God gave us two ears, but many radios! I'm lucky to have a job I like and a job that affords me the ability to buy "toys"! |

Never got into radio but.... |
...have a nice studio with carts/cassettes, nice music library, custom jingles (Ken R., Jam, Reelworld, others) commercials, etc. Though I never got into radio, it remains in my blood! Hypothetical formats: FM: 98-Winner, 98-7 Hit FM, Power 101.1 and Oldies 103.3 AM:1-2-3 Cat, The Mighty 1490, 16 Winner Top40 on 98 & 98.7FM, Classic Hits on 101.1 and 103.3, and oldies formats are featured on AM. Tapes of these date back to 1974! Yes, tapes. |
An interesting life! |
| That's DX-midAMerica.com editor on the left with his younger brother, Gregory. John:age 4 and Gregory was age 3. |
A little later in life..... |
| Me at 50. It's not that bad! As my parents used to say "if I knew then what I know now!" |
Where is Superior? |
| The correct answer is "in my mind." This picture is a portion of my model train layout. Everything I like in in town, hi. A radio tower, buses, a clean, nice downtown, billboards, road signage, good paying jobs, and so on. Named after Lake Superior. |

Orange Mustang and it's predecessors have been through 37 states and Canada. Never to West or East Coast. At least 16 million flies and musquitos have met their match!

| Top of HOT TIPS bulletin number 1, dated November 15,1981. Whoda thunk we'd be here as DX-midAMerica.com 30 years later? It includes loggings (KRRK-MN, WMTL-KY, etc), call changes, etc. |
Old DX-midAMerica bulletin |
| Eight-24 pages of DX. Before there was an internet, cell phones, texting, $4 gas, we were there, I am proud to say! |
Remember these things? |
Every little town in the 60s and 70s had a Top 40 station. I'd go every week and pick up the latest charts. Pictured are 1340-WRIT and 920-WOKY charts. I'd love seeing how one song moved 11-8 on WRIT and 14-6 on WOKY. Others that had charts: 99.1-WNUW, 100.7-WRKR, 97.3-WBTT (B-97) and 95.7-WZUU (Z95).
