Citizen's Band Radio Station-1973

This is from the moldy files of Kb
cf-4022 in East Hartford. He ran 40 channels and lower and upper side bands. The set up was complimented with a HCJB- style beam antenna and rotor on the roof. ( The rotor was used to turn my house around.) This is fluff and filler till we get new shots of the 85,000 foot building the museum purchased at 115 Pierson Lane in Windsor, CT.

"Freedom has many difficulties, and democracy is not perfect,
But we've never had to put a wall up to keep our people in…
While the wall is the most obvious demonstration of the failures of communism,
We take no pride in it…for it is an offense against humanity, separating families,
Dividing husbands and wives, brothers and sisters and
People who wish to be joined together…
All free men, wherever they may live, are citizens of Berlin
And therefore, as a free man I take pride in the words "Ich bin ein Berliner".

Summer 2003

Well, it's been a week since Barbara and I got back from our vacation trip. We have actually seen and travelled the Pony Express route, Oregon trail, and Mormon trail. In Yellowstone , we saw animals to the max..just like in a zoo...buffaloes, antelopes, and a bear.
In the Beartooth pass to Montana, there was still snow and lots of it. It was 11 thousand feet at the top. What a view! It was rather cool at 55 to 60 degrees. But, worth every mile. I guess that's what they call GOD'S COUNTRY.
The next leg of the trip was also very memorable, as we went through Devil's Tower , Sturgis, and even hit the Badlands for scenes that are like the grand canyon farther south...formations and colors were everywhere. It was wonderful to get to see all those sights of our great country.
We then saw storms coming,so we headed for Tim and Kim's place in Beardstown, Illinois. We only stayed a day, but Barbara and I had a fun time visiting our Steppenwolf fanclub friends, who work on the Illinois River with a tugboat service and river construction company.
The people we met along the road, at gas stations, motels and restaurants were all quite friendly and helpful to bikers like us. Thank you America for the fine time! We hope to do something like it more often.
We hope you are all well in our absence and that we see you soon . Barbara and Dan
