By DENIE

This marvelous spinning bubbling life receptacle termed earth revolves, resonates, oscillates incorporating a wobble at approximately 1070 miles an hour on, and around it's axis at the equator. Or less, depending on your longitude and latitude-on or at the global curve bulge where you stand suspended in time. The Earth's "travel orbit around the Sun acceleration speed" is 18.5 miles per second or 66,600 miles an hour, making one complete revolution in 365.25 days.

It is this vortex speed or centrifugal inward and downward set of forces that creates gravity. Along with, the surface electromagnetic fields, internal earth core magnetics and various atmospheric (6 in all) layers approximately 440 miles high that surround, constitute, regulate and protect earth while distributing (the Van Allen Belt) these forces. With the Troposphere being the dense lower surface electromagnetically charged atmospheric biosphere in which we live.

Wow . . . that's a lot of combined downward pressures on 'the ole noggin'.

These atmospheric layers are acted on by radiations energies from the sun and and cosmic rays from the spiraling universe which life and our solidity of genetic human form evolved from.
This interactive group of forces are the controlling factors of our present carbon based human genetic code potential...and all genesis on earth.
And it is a combination of all these forces at any given spot on the geo-bulge that the 'so called' races with their men and women may have been molded from. Each with their own organic adaptiblity (geophysiology) factors of diversity customed tailored to that earth environment eco-system which modifies the genetic code of human structure control potential.

Races as a negative connotation ? No, I think not !
Human beings and potential 'barbell constructive muscleheads' all, each with their own earth geobiophere dictated survival genetic and metabolic mechanisms from that single place on the bulge where they or their ancestors remained the longest.
This could also be described as 'latitude and longitude sensitivity'. (Denie)

And using THE IRON CONNECTION has the potential to enhance and develop these genetic and metabolic sensitivities. Often, equalizing and generally
surpassing 'the latitude and longitude sensitive earthball performance factors'. Because human potential is a thing of mind first...and the tools that mind uses to go forward toward any goal.

"The main forces of our physical world are gravitational, nuclear, electrical and magnetic.  Electrical and magnetic forces are intimately related to each other and are also responsible for much of the structure and organisation of living systems and are being seen as the basis of most molecular and chemical interactions.
"Life" is being increasingly seen as a "cosmic dance" which is affected in subtle but fundamental ways by the forces in the universe .
" Life on Earth has developed in an electromagnetic environment but we are now gradually overwhelming the natural signals by the plethora of artificial EMFs."
(Alasdair Philips- Electronic and Agricultural Engineer.)

In the mid 20th Century man as the predominant intelligent life form on earth decided to go beyond his earth birthing environment into the outer Universe.

Up until this point the author of THE IRON CONNECTION in a "technical and clinical' sense, has discussed the human structural imposition of extra-ordinary gravitational resistance conditioning (weightraining or Bodybuilding), as self applied in systems and numbers (sets and reps) with velocity controls (concentric/eccentric muscle contraction speeds).
This, being pumped in the gyms, home gyms and wherever, on the surface of our world within normal earth gravity 1-G conditions... and 1-G being the basis for all human life functions, challenge of athletic conquest performances, impact and velocity sports, strength building and Bodybuilding.
And in fact, resistance training which magnifies natural 1-G stresses many times, thereby perfects our mobility skills upon the earth...or makes our muscles structures and systems more fine tuned to the earth 1-G environment. Should we choose to Bodybuild and enhance our earth based biogeochemical physical systems.

THE IRON CONNECTION in this final chapter
presents a synergy of ideas for ' Off World Training' . .. Training in Space and soon to be newly colonized worlds.

Yesterday, we worshipped the Gods who may have created us...or manipulated our DNA, or the energies of the universe causing us to be created.

Today, in the opening of the 21st Century, those
of us in the physical fitness world are facing a new life challenge: pre-conditioning and establishment
of 'off world' physical mass or molecular density training maintenance methods' . Or simulating earth's 1-G gravtational environmental properties (Referenced in the scientific literature as 'Countermeasures') so we can venture into that universe...to meet the unknown forces of our Solar System and beyond !

NASA: "The importance of exercise for maintaining astronaut health and fitness was recognized early in the history of piloted spaceflight. As a key ingredient of the "right stuff," exercise has become a tradition in the astronaut corps; and as a countermeasure for long-duration space missions, it has been the subject of considerable study and experimentation."

The majority of scientific data presented in this
THE IRON CONNECTION's final chapter on
'Countermeasures', except where the author interacts, interprets, or speculates- was selectively with great respect and admiration.extracted from over 40 years of official reports generated in spaceflight missions and manned orbital testing published institutional research.
The sources include studies from: America's National Aeronautics Space Agency (NASA), European Space Agency (ESA), The Canadian Astronaut Office, The Yuri Gagarin Russian State Scientific Research Test Center of Cosmonauts Training, Vanderbilt Center for Space Physiology and Medicine, plus various expert author journalists who
are credited at the citation.
The author's commentary is indicated by 'TIC' for THE IRON CONNECTION.

TIC asserts that..."Exercise especially forms of
resistance training create or help to recreate gravity and electromagnetic internal micro fields within the human organic genetic security structure.
"And in fact a new more scientific name for Off World Training against resistance should be applied to the old IRON CONNECTION and will be discussed in this chapter. That neo-21th Century name is a derivative of the term 'Astrobiology'.
"Coined in the late 1950's by NASA the term Astrobiology related to extra-terrestrial science.
"New age training in spaceflight for fitness and
body mass maintenance could be christened 'here and
now: 'ASTROMOLECULAR ISOTONICS' (c) 2004 Denie' . "
"So earthbound's THE IRON CONNECTION we
leave earth becomes technically known via book two
of TIC...' (c) ASTROMOLECULAR ISOTONICS'. And here's why:

TOO GRAVITY ... OR NOT TOO GRAVITY
"Gravity is one of the four basic physical forces (the others are the electromagnetic force, and the strong and weak nuclear binding forces) and influences nearly all physical, chemical and biological processes." (ESA)

NASA data concludes regarding 'off world spaceflight' and exploration:
"Zero off world gravity has many deleterious effects on the solidity, genetic code resonance and
metabolism of the earth evolved human organic system and structure, It is clear that it would be much healthier for crews to provide artificial gravity for long duration space habitation.
"This means rotating the habitat to produce artificial gravity by the centrifugal (centripetal) force. Deleterious effects of zero gravity on astronauts to date are well documented in the following data.....
" Before opting for artificial gravity, it is worth reviewing the consequences of long-term exposure to weightlessness (TIC: 0-G.) :

TIC: Six human body internal life support systems are altered during microgravity exposure :
1. the musculo-skeletal system,
2. cardiovascular system,
3. cardiopulmonary system,
4. the renal endocrine system,
5. blood immune system, 6. neuro-vestibular system.

NASA database reports:
"MUSCLE DAMAGE:
" Maximum (TIC: muscle contractile) force output is quickly reduced in weightlessness. (TIC in human beings) Extensors (muscles) are more severely affected than flexors (muscles), which bears consequences for postural and locomotor competence after extended spaceflight."

(Canadian Space Agency):
"Previous missions have shown that microgravity produces significant skeletal muscle wasting, particularly in the postural muscles.
...." Crews returning from 'long missions' likely will show decreased muscle strength and endurance, which will pose health and safety concerns.
"We expect that spaceflight will result in increased muscle fatigability due to preferential atrophy of slow-twitch muscle fibres, coupled with a percentage increase in the more fatigable fast-twitch fibres and an inhibition in the ability of muscle cells to metabolize fats.
"Furthermore, a greater atrophy of predominantly slow-twitch muscles such as the soleus compared with fast muscles such as the gastrocnemius may be detected by changes in muscle volume when postflight magnetic resonance images of our muscles are compared with preflight images.
"Data from earlier spaceflights suggest that the decrease in limb-muscle strength is out of proportion to the corresponding degree of muscle atrophy, so other mechanisms also may play a role.
".... a portion of the decline in muscular strength is caused by alterations in motoneuron function or motor-fibre recruitment."

TIC: Under extended long term spaceflight conditions previously, up to 25% of human muscle tissue and contractile force has been lost. Mainly in the supporting leg areas. No longer having to resist the posture dependent forces of gravity, the slow-twitch (oxidative, fatigue-resistant or aerobic: high rep oriented) muscles atrophy, an transform to functionaly fast-twitch, while the fast-twitch (glycolytic, easily-fatigued, anaerobic: low rep oriented) muscles are in degrees less affected but still atrophy as well unless stresses are imposed upon them).

"BONE DAMAGE (TIC or loss of density)):
NASA:
" Bone tissue is deposited where needed and resorbed where not needed. This process is regulated by the piezoelectric behavior of bone tissue under stress (TIC: the forces and pressure
of gravity and the electromagnetic fields of earth
environment and or movement ot exercise).
"Because the mechanical demands on bones are greatly reduced in micro gravity, they essentially dissolve. While cortical bone (skull) may regenerate, loss of trabecular bone may be irreversible.
"Diet and exercise have been only partially effective in reducing the damage.
"Short periods of high-load strength training may be more effective than long endurance exercise on the treadmills and bicycles commonly used in orbit.
"Evidence suggests that the loss occurs primarily in the weight-bearing bones of the legs and spine. Non-weight-bearing bones, such as the skull and fingers, do not seem to be affected.

"LOSS OF BONE MINERAL DENSITY:
"Loss of total body calcium, and specifically loss of calcium in bone (bone mineral density, or BMD), is the change most often referred to as a 'showstopper', a reason we cannot mount a piloted Mars mission, and the argument has some merit.
'Since the early Apollo and Skylab days, we've known that the body loses calcium progressively in microgravity. This loss of calcium comes mainly from trabecular (or 'spongy') bone; it is resorbed predominantly from weight-bearing areas (no longer under stress in microgravity), and it is lost most in the legs, less in the arms and ribcage. Bone mineral density actually increases at the skull. Furthermore, loss of bone is progressive; the longer
(NASA)

Other physical problems due to weightlessness or non gravity controlled environment and influencing earth electromagnetic field systems based in the Troposphere included...

NASA:
"WEIGHT LOSS:
"Fluid loss, lack of exercise and diminished appetite result in weight loss. Space travelers tend not to eat enough. Meals and exercise (TIC: routines) must be planned to prevent excessive loss .

"FLUID REDISTRIBUTION:
"Bodily fluids shift from the lower extremities toward the head. This precipitates many of the problems described below.
"The brain interprets the increase of fluid in the cephalic (brain) area as an increase in total fluid volume. In response, it activates excretory mechanisms. This compounds calcium loss and bone demineralization.
" Blood volume may decrease by 10 percent, which contributes to cardiovascular deconditioning.
"Space crew members must beware of dehydration .
(NASA)

"ELECTROLITE (mineral) IMBALANCES:
" Changes in fluid distribution lead to imbalances in potassium and sodium and disturb the autonomic regulatory system . (NASA)

"CARDIOVASCULAR CHANGES:
"An increase of fluid in the thoracic area leads initially to increases in left ventricular volume and cardiac output.
"As the body seeks a new equilibrium, fluid is excreted, the left ventricle shrinks and cardiac output decreases. "
"Upon return to gravity, fluid is pulled back into the lower extremities and cardiac output falls to subnormal levels. It may take several weeks for fluid volume, peripheral resistance, cardiac size and cardiac output to return to normal . (NASA)

"RED BLOOD CELL LOSS:
Blood samples taken before and after American and Soviet flights have indicated a loss of as much as 0.5 liters of red blood cells.
"Scientists are investigating the possibility that weightlessness causes a change in splenic function that results in premature destruction of red blood cells. In animal studies there is some evidence of loss through microhemorrhages in muscle tissue as well.
(NASA)

"HYPERCALCEMIA:
"Fluid loss and bone demineralization conspire to increase the concentration of calcium in the blood, with a consequent increase in the risk of developing urinary stones. (NASA)

"IMMUNE SYSTEM CHANGES:
"There is an increase in neutrophil concentration, decreases in eosinophils, monocytes and B-cells, a rise in steroid hormones and damage to T-cells. In 1983 aboard Spacelab I, when human lymphocyte cultures were exposed in vitro to concanavalin A, the T-cells were activated at only 3 percent of the rate of similarly treated cultures on Earth. Loss of T-cell function may hamper the body's resistance to cancer -- a danger exacerbated by the high-radiation environment of space. (NASA)

"INTERFERENCE WITH MEDICAL PROCEDURE:
"Fluid redistribution affects the way drugs are taken up by the body, with important consequences for space pharmacology. Bacterial cell membranes become thicker and less permeable, reducing the effectiveness of antibiotics. Space surgery will also be greatly affected: organs will drift, blood will not pool, and transfusions will require mechanical assistance. (NASA)

"VERTIGO AND SPACIAL DISORIENTATION:
"Without a stable gravitational reference, crew members experience arbitrary and unexpected changes in their sense of verticality. Rooms that are thoroughly familiar when viewed in one orientation may become unfamiliar when viewed from a different up-down reference.
"Skylab astronaut Ed Gibson reported a sharp transition in the familiarity of the wardroom when rotated approximately 45 degrees from the "normal" vertical attitude in which he had trained.
"There is evidence that, in adapting to weightlessness, the brain comes to rely more on visual cues and less on other senses of motion or position.
"In orbit, Skylab astronauts lost the sense of where objects were located relative to their bodies when they could not actually see the objects. After returning home, one of them fell down in his own house when the lights went out unexpectedly." (NASA)

"SPACE ADAPTION SYNDROME:
" About half of all astronauts and cosmonauts are afflicted. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, anorexia, headache, malaise, drowsiness, lethargy, pallor and sweating.
"Susceptibility to Earth-bound motion sickness does not correlate with susceptibility to space sickness. The sickness usually subsides in 1 to 3 days .

LOSS OF EXERCISE CAPACITY:
This may be due to decreased motivation as well as physiological changes.
NASA: "On Earth, some people like to exercise more than others. Aboard the Space Shuttle, astronauts have little choice.
" On earlier missions, scientists discovered that astronauts suffered some bone and muscle deterioration because their bodies were not getting the resistance they were used to in gravity.
" Today (NASA Re: 1995), astronauts participate in a planned exercise program to counteract the effects of a near weightless environment."

(TIC Historical Note: "OFF WORLD TRAINING during the human pioneering phase of spaceflight began with the Gemini program, consisting of ten piloted flights from March 1965 to November 1966 using a two-person orbital 'capsule'.
On the second Gemini mission (Gemini IV) the first in-flight rudimentary conditioning exercises were performed.
The exercise unit consisted of two rubber bungee cords attached to a nylon handle at one end and to a nylon footstrap at the other...requiring 70 pounds of force to stretch the bungee cords to a maximum length of 12 inches.
Each use in resistance application lasted 30 seconds, with the astronauts stretching the rubber bungee cords through one contraction and relaxation cycle per second.
During this 4-day epic mission of Gemini IV, each astronaut performed this exercise fifteen times. Future Gemini missions not only included the bungee cords but also a set of isometric applications to invigorate the astronauts.)
