How does your spirit feel today?
Today in each and every way.
Been born anew, reconciled to God,
Walking in accord with His Spirit, how shall we say?
O Holy Spirit, we speak to you aloud,
Knowing the sinful nature we still possess;
Please help us to recall that we are no longer
Part of satan's fall,
Being assured that by our salvation we have peace with God.
We know our Savior paid for our sins with the ultimate price,
Sins for which we bore the same guilt;
But after shedding His blood once for all,
And uttering the words - that indescribable call;
Tetelestai - 'It is finished',
Our reconciliation present for all.
Our salvation gift means we have peace with God,
A heavenly existence awaiting us perhaps even this day;
Though our spiritual state will give us entrance through the heavenly gate,
At times to worldly, sinful life we may still stray.
O Holy Spirit speaking to you aloud we say,
Surround us with your presence this very day.
Please guide us in the walk of your heavenly desires,
And manifest in our spirits the peace of God.
Transcending all understanding
And guarding our hearts and minds
Please lead us to the fruits promised by Scripture;
We ask this in the name of Christ Jesus,
According to the perfect will of the Father;
To the Holy Trinity be glory forever.
