Heavenly Father, we stand before the throne of grace this day, our celebration of your blessed Sons' birth.
We've been through some very hard times this year and know there will be many more and diverse trials to come.
We thank You for getting us through this year, both at home and overseas, by helping us to sustain our faith in your omniscient and sovereign rule.
While we certainly have feelings regarding the status in the East, those of us here at home humbly express our gratitude for our safety and the priviledge of freely worshipping the one who became flesh while maintaining diety to be the Author of our salvation.
We don't know what lies ahead, Father, but we are encouraged by the knowledge that you will never allow us to be tested beyond that which we can endure.
Thank you for sending the Savior, your only-begotten son Jesus, to unveil your divine plan of salvation...ordained and predestined before the beginning of time.
