PRETZEL SALAD
==============
CRUST: 2 cups crushed salted pretzels
½ cup sugar
¼ cup melted margarine
CHEESE LAYER:
8 ounces cream cheese
1 cup sugar
9 ounces cool whip
FRUIT LAYER:
2 -10 ounce strawberries or
fresh in season
1 - large box strawberry jello
2 cup liquid ( juice & water)
Mix crust & pat in 8 x11 pan bake 325° for about 5 - 8 minutes. Cool. Cheese layer - Beat all sugar & cream cheese togeather, mix in cool whip & put on top of cooled crust.
Strawberry layer - Mix ingrediants togeather and put on top of cheese layer
Chill & serve

ORANGE CREAMSICKLE CAKE
1 package Duncin Hines Orange Cake Mix
1 box orange jello
½ cup boiling water
½ cup cold water
1 package vanilla instant pudding
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon orange flavoring
1 cup milk
4 ounces cool whip
Prepare cake mix according to directions and bake in 9x12 pan. Cool, poke holes in cake with handle of wooden spoon. Mix jello with boiling water til dissolved and add cold water. Pour over the cooled cake so the jello runs in the holes. Refrigerate the cake at least 3 hours.
Mix pudding, flavorings & milk. Fold in cool whip and use this to icing the cake.
Chill til ready to serve.

OATMEAL PANCAKES
1 CUP OATMEAL
1 CUP BUTTERMILK
1 EGG
2 TBSP MELTED MARGARINE
1/4 CUP FLOUR
1 TBSP SUGAR
1 TSP BAKING POWDER
1 TSP BAKING SODA
1/4 TSP CINNAMON
SOAK OATMEAL IN BUTTERMILK ( FEW HOURS OR OVERNITE) BEAT EGG & MELTED MARGARINE, ADD TO OATMEAL & BUTTERMILK. ADD REST OF DRY INGREDIENTS.
COOK AS ANY OTHER PANCAKES

1 CUP SUGAR
1/2 CUP CRISCO
2 EGGS
3 CUPS FLOUR
4 TSP BAKING POWDER
1/2 TSP SALT
1TSP VANILLA
1 CUP MILK
2 CUPS BLUEBERRIES
TOPPING;
1/2 CUP SUGAR
1/2 CUP FLOUR
1/2 CUP MARGARINE
1 TSP CINNAMON
CREAM SUGAR & CRISCO, ADD EGGS
ADD FLOUR, BAKING POWDER, SALT & VANILLA, ADD MILK LITTLE AT A TIME. POUR IN a GREASED 9X12 PAN.
MIX TOPPING & SPRINKLE ON TOP
BAKE 375 DEGREES FOR 40 MIN.

Molasses Coffee Cake
Combine:
4 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
Reserve 1/2 cup of mixture for the topping Mix together until it bubbles & add to the dry ingredients 2 cups hot water
1 cup molasses
1 cup margarine
Pour in a greased 9x12 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes

RAISIN BARS (Recipe from Bloomsburg OES) CRUST:
MIX TOGETHER:
4 CUP FLOUR
2 CUP BROWN SUGAR
1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
1 TEASPOON SALT
CUT INTO ABOVE:
1 CUP MARGARINE OR CRISCO
2 EGGS
1 TEASPOON VANILLA
PAT 1/2 IN A 9X13 PAN, SAVE 1/2 FOR TOPPING FILLING: COOK TIL THICK & PUT ON DOUGH IN PAN 1 BOX RAISINS
1 CUP SUGAR
2 TABLESPOONS CORNSTARCH
2 CUPS WATER
PUT REST OF CRUST ON TOP. IT WILL BE CRUMBS THIS FILLING SHOULD WORK FOR A PIE ALSO

Sweet Potato Casserole
Description:
Wonderful sweet potatoes with a candy like topping. Ingredients:
8 large sweet potatoes
( cooked & mashed, canned
will work, but not as good )
3/4 Cup Evaporated milk
1/2 Cup margarine
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Topping:
1/2 Cup margarine ( melted)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup rice krispies
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Butter a casserole
Mash sweet potatoes and add other ingredients beating well. Turn out into casserole dish.
Mix topping ingredients and put on top of sweet potatoes. Bake for 40 minutes

Baked Pineapple
1 #2 can crushed pineapple
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
5 slices bread
3 Tbsp. butter
Combine pineapple (with juice) and sugar, Beat eggs & add. Break bread in small pieces & add to mixture. Dot the top with butter & bake at 350 degrees in uncovered casserole for approximately 45 minutes. Serves 8-10

Broccoli salad
Broccoli
Fried bacon
Onion (Red for color)
Shredded cheddar cheese
Blue Cheese dressing (I like Helman's)
Ranch Dressing (I like Hellman's)
Cut up broccoli heads & wash
add bacon, onion, cheese
Mix with dressings using equal portions of each. Mix to your tastes.

CHOCOLATE CHIP BARS
Mix togeather:
1 cup margarine
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
2 eggs
Add & mix:
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Add & stir in by hand:
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
Put in 9 x 12 pan, bake at 375° for 20-25 minuites. Cool & cut in squares.

TEA COOKIES
Mix togeather:
1 cup margarine
2 cups sugar
Add & mix togeather:
2 eggs
Dissolve the following & add:
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons water
Add & mix:
3½ cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
Add & mix by hand:
1 cup chopped walnuts
10 candied cherries quartered
1 cup white raisins
Divide in 2 and make tubes on wax paper. Chill overnite. Slice & bake. Bake 375° for about 10 minuites.
*Note: Use other combinations of nuts & fruit. example: Dates & nuts

Egg, Olive & Cheese Sandwich Spread
1 - 5 oz jar Green Olives
1 pound Sharp Cheese
6 hard boiled Eggs
Mayonaise to mix togeather
Grind the Eggs, Olives & Cheese
Mix with mayonaise to consistancy to spread on bread.

Hot Dog Sauce
1 pound Ground Chuck
2 Cups of cold water
1 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons of fine chopped onion
2 teaspoons of oreagano
2 teaspoons of cummin
2 teaspoons of chili powder
3 teaspoons of paprika
½ teaspoon of red pepper
1 small can tomato paste
Put all but the tomato paste in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer 30 minutes. Stir often. Add tomato paste the last 5 minutes.

Sherbert
1 package jello (your choice of flavor)
¼ cup sugar
1 cup boiling water
3 cups milk
dash salt
Mix jello, sugar, salt & boiling water til all is dissolved & add the milk. Freeze in ice cube trays til mushy. Take out of freezer & beat til with electric beater. Return to freezer in containers.

Strawberry Delight Cake

Ingredients:
1 box yellow cake mix with pudding
Miniature marshmallows
1 pkg frozen strawberries
1 small box strawberry jello
Butter 13x9 baking dish. Sprinkle a layer of miniature marshmallows on the bottom of dish.
Thaw strawberries and stir dry jello in strawberries and juice. Set aside.
Mix cake mix according to package directions. I use 2 eggs not 3. Pour mixed cake over marshmallows.
Drop strawberry mixture by spoonfuls over top of cake. Bake in 350 oven about 35 minutes or until brown.
Marshmallows melt and go up through cake and strawberries and jello sink down. Warning-the smell of the cake goes all through the house and you can hardly wait for it to cool enough to eat. Top with Cool Whip
