in the seclusion
of darkness
lit but by slivers
of pale moonlight
shimmering silver
through the trees
the heady scent
of pine and ocean
hang frigid
in the still midnight air
breathless
his clear dark eyes
burn into hers
as he pulls her close
in a kiss filled with
a desperate need
and desire
she dissolves into
his electric embrace
and surrenders to
the sweet passion
of his deep longing kiss
holding him fast
she shivers
as he sweeps her
ebony hair
from the silken
ivory skin
of her shoulder
and feels his breath
hot and ragged
upon her perfumed throat
slowly she opens her eyes
and looks into his
dreamily
so sweetly drugged
by the moment
that she does not see
the tiny tear
frozen upon
his cold flushed cheek...
