BELL CEMETERY

The Bell Cemetery is located just a stones throw from the Harris Grocery site. Isaac Bell and many of his descendants are resting here. Isaac is said to be wearing his War of 1812 Uniform. Many other prominent Shinbrier names can be found here.

As the song says, " We will all be together when we meet beneath the green, green grass of home"

EDEN HARRIS FAMILY TREE

BERNIE HARRIS has done a masterful job in creating this Harris Family Tree. Cousin WADE WILBURN'S years of hard work have made invaluable contributions to this work. EDITH HARRIS BUTT, of SHINBRIER, has been of tremendous help with her Harris and Bell Family knowledge.

BY

KEN BOWEN - DAVID HAMBRICK - LEMOYNE HENDRICK

This cemetery was recorded April 26, 2003 by Ken, David and Lemoyne. Many cemeteries in these Mercer County mountains have been lost forever and many are borderline. Ken and company have been, and are, working feverishly to record and preserve these cemeteries existence on paper so at least the knowledge of them will be preserved. I cannot compliment these gentlemen enough for the work they are doing. I know I speak for the Shinbrier - Coopers communities when I applaud and thank them from the bottom of our hearts

INCLUDES A VERY SPECIAL NOTE BY ROBERT A. McREYNOLDS WHO HAS WORKED VERY HARD TO RESTORE THIS CEMETERY TO GOOD CONDITION. THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH!
