JERRY KAY of Portsmouth, VA writes, "This is the Big Sandy & Cumberland narrow gauge Shay # 7 Engine. The BS&C was built to 42 inch gauge. After the N&W purchased the line it was rebuilt to standard gauge, 56.2 inches. The Big Sandy & Cumberland is one of my favorite railroads."
