COOPERS WV SCHOOL - 1927

This school was built about 1927 and replaced old Coopers School. This school was intended to go through the 8th grade. Upon completion plans were changed and school only went through 6th grade. This photo was taken the first year of operation, 1927, I believe.

Photo is long, narrow type and is not in the best of condition. I have broken it into three sections. Left side, middle and right side. Middle has overlap on left and right sides. Right side is damaged at the very end and two boys are not visible. I have a photo copy from which I can take these two boys photos from. They are Donald Sizemore and William McLoud.

THIS SCHOOL WAS ACTUALLY IN SHINBRIER ON SHINBRIER HILL ALSO KNOWN AS SHINBRIER MOUNTAIN. BUILDING HAS SINCE BEEN DEMOLISHED.
