SHINBRIER BOY REDISCOVERS HIS ROOTS
GILFORD CORNER, JR. - SHINBRIER'S LOST & FOUND SON
Gilford Corner, Jr. was uprooted from Shinbrier at the tender age of four when his parents moved to Oregon. Through the discovery of the Shinbrier site by his lovely wife Jo, short for Josephine, Gil is reconnecting to Shinbrier and his roots.
Born April 7, 1947, to Gilford Corner, Sr. and Mildred Juanita Ratliff Corner, Gil was raised in Oregon with little or no knowledge of his Shinbrier and family roots. Gil's Father died at the young age of fifty. His Mother is very much alive and kicking. She is now reminiscing about her younger days in Shinbrier and her many, many visits to the Harris Grocery Store.
Gil married the lovely Josephine Hubert April 12, 1974 and they have one son, John Paul Corner. Gil also has one sister, Darlene Corner, and I'm sure she is enjoying this also.
