Viet Nam Picture Memories

Ron`Doc`McClain`s pictures of ECHO Co. 3rd/60th 9th Inf. Div. Mobile Riverine Force Jan-May 1968. Echo Co was changed to Delta Co around Sept 1968.

LONG LOST PHOTOS

Actually, these photos were never really lost. I left Echo Co suddenly without any of my belongings. These were sent to me after my property was rounded up. Funny though, that Chi Com rifle with the swing out bayonet must have gotten lost. Did anybody see it?

Strait and Carrillo. I bought the camera Strait is holding. I believe this is the second floor in the barracks along sniper alley at DongTam.

Taking a stroll to the mortor pit in DongTam.

Carrillo, Adame, me and Lt Wolfe. We were pulling security for a fire support base on barges somewhere west of DongTam. I think it was one of Wolfe`s first missions.

Carrillo attracted the local children. Same place as the previous picture. Our temporary sandbag bunker is in the background.

Carrillo got tired and sent the kids to me.

They wanted to show me their sanpan. It was a little way from our position but it did have shade. I have my M16 just in case.

Only stayed here a night or two. Had to burn the sand bags so Charlie couldn`t use them.

I said before that I was skinny as a rat, well this is proof. Pic taken on the Appleton.
