PRINCESS CHRONICLES Part I A

Dear Diary,
It is very early in the morning still and the castle is coming to life..I think this will be a splendid day as I will be working in the stables most of the day, unbeknowst to Father..I have made arrangements with one of the stable boys to take his place today.....I am so excited as I love working with the horses..We have one of the most talented men in the whole of the countryside that is in charge of the livery stables..He has animal magic, a very strong affinity with horses in particular..Our breeding stock is outstanding...THe King is very PROUD of our steeds that are sought after by knights from many different kingdoms..We have been honored by the HIGH KING several times as the ROYAL FAVORITE...I do so hope that I get away with this without getting caught...WISH me well, my friend, I will return when I can...Yours, ~Mira~

Dear Diary,
IT'S me ! I know it has been awhile. I have been in trouble plenty so I couldn't come talk with you. My trip to the stables WORKED beautifully.. I very simply put on a pair of trews, a tunic acquired by one of my trusted ladies who got it from her love, a young Knight in my father's service who got it from one of his squires.. Of course this knight didn't know who ended up with the clothing, hehehehe,but I am rambling....I braided my hair and tucked it in my shirt. I was not recognized!...Though I had a few close calls do to my inexperience . Thank goodness, I am fairly knowlegeable in the area of horses...WHEW!
I did this little charade for several days whenever I could get away from the castle and my duties.. I had to stay away from Steward and the Baliff as they have known me as a child..Henry, has been head Stable keep since his father retired. Both remember me playing in the stables all during my childhood as they know my love for horses and all animals...It is Henry who has the animal magic..Anyway, I uncovered some cruelty going on by one of the many stable boys as our stables are so large.. He was bullying the others and he MISHANDLED the horses ..This young man has a mean streak..BUT I managed to get Henry there in time to catch him at his very worst...He has been reprimanded and removed from the stables.
SO I feel justified in my fun and have even helped..I shudder to think the many things so cruel that he has been allowed to inflict upon those poor animals..OH DIARY, I was SO angry when I first caught him in the act...But I collected myself and then decided to take care of the situation another way...I feel so much better..I WILL NOT tolerate cruelty to people or to animals ever...I will keep an eye on that young man just to see....There is word that the Queen will be on her way home soon..Though I am to understand that she has some news for me from grandmother..Father is very busy these days...There has been a Dragon sighted ...As to whether there is truth to it or not , I am not sure..Though cattle has been disappearing on the outlying farms...
Oh before I close, I caught the green thing in my sights before it disappeared...IT IS A FROG AND IT TALKS..IT IS A MALE....OOPS...MUST GO MY FRIEND, I will tell you more later about this frog!!...Be well....yours, ~Mira~

Dear Diary,
Here I am again and it is a GLORIOUS morning...The weather is going to beautiful today...I must tell you, I had some excitement...I have two kittens....As I was out walking the grounds , I came upon a young boy and he was all in tears over 2 little kittens that he couldn't keep so he had hidden them in the field under a rock...He would then take them food whenever he could..I listened to his stories trying to calm him between his hiccups and tears..He was afraid for the kittens..I assured him that if he wished I would make them as my personal pets, if he so wished...Well, Diary, he looked at me with such a happy smile that I could not regret my hasty offer..He got down on one knee and pledged his loyalty and heart to me , his princess....I was quite taken, so I have had to get them in the castle to my rooms without anyone the wiser...They are twins and I have yet to name them...They are lovely all white with a patch of color on the tail and the ear... each almost a mirror image of the other...One has a green eye and a blue eye the other has green eyes..That is the only difference..2 males they are...I will have to name them soon...They KEPT ME up all night last night getting up to shennigans and trying my patience more than once..
To further complicate things, the frog appeared late last night as I tried to dose off...He kept trying to convince me that I am really hearing him speak...I just kept closing my eyes and hoping he would disappear...I JUST don't need this new problem right now...Finally after much ruckus and fussing he left me in peace as I refused to speak to him...Ahhhh... Do so wonder if he is really real or just my overactive imagination?...well, I must get busy for now...THere is to be a Jousting tournament soon and we are preparing for it...I must go!...Hopefully , I will have a name for these two kitties... .....CRASH!!.....OH NOT THE MIRROR....they broke my handcarved mirror... I best clean the mess up before the chambermaid comes in and must hide these little scamps...WISH ME luck, my friend...... until next we meet, yours, Mira~
