PRABHUPADA INSISTS
DANGER AT EVERY STEP
There is danger at every step,
here, every step is danger,
and every single person,
really is a perfect stranger.
Yet by the power of maya,
we say that we are content,
and we have so many friends,
while in the end, we lament.
So, Prabhupada says, follow me,
your only shelter is God's names,
there you must put all your faith,
and your most blessed, Gurudeva.

All we know is illusion,
so by illusion we're controlled,
because we have forgotten,
God, and our eternal soul.
So, Prabhupada request,
just give it a test,
always chant Hare Krishna,
and feel your fully blessed.

But most unfortunately,
we emphatically say no,
I have to do as my wife says,
I'm too busy with my load.
Still Prabhupada insists,
you forgot your real bliss,
singing and dancing for God,
in Krishna consciousness.
Yet still we refuse,
and illusion we choose,
that girl that knocks me out,
more than we know, we loose.
Yes, she knocks you out,
and pulls you by the nose,
I have to give her money,
for all her fancy clothes.
And that is all that's going on,
for her, you' become a moron,
for her, all pervading allure,
and there is but one cure.
Wake up my family wake up,
we are just loving servants of Krishna,
and all the life we see,
we are all brothers and sisters.
But no you stubbornly beg,
I must hold on to my dreams,
but no, Prabhupada insists,
wake up to thy love, Supreme.
And dive in to the Harinama,
called Shri Krishna Sankirtan,
this is all your depending on,
all else will so soon be gone.

We just scatter helter skelter,
till we find our only shelter,
He is indeed our only helper,
but we prefer to stay in hell here.
These bodies are but clothes,
and the cause of all our woes,
but to them we're fully disposed,
and we say to hell, with our souls.
But Prabhupada indeed remains,
our ever well wisher, he explains,
I'm present in my vedic translations
to reveal what is civilization.
For you've become hogs and dogs,
not caring for who is God,
and you accept only cheaters,
as your most worshipable leaders.
So, Prabhupada boldly proclaims,
just shelter thyself in God's names,
the message of every great sage,
for this most misled fallen age.

But still we insist,
with our endless foolish list,
it's most sweet, maya's kiss,
leave her and all we miss.
We don't see how we're helpless,
just helplessly bound to illusion,
and just crying out these names,
is indeed our only solution.

But still most fortunate souls,
whose intelligence is not lost,
will take shelter of these names,
to know forever they're das anudasa.
