THE RATHAYATRA FESTIVAL
The Rathayatra festival,
everyone must attend,
for it's just to please Lord Jagannatha,
the Lord of all and Dearmost Friend.
You will find enormous carts being pulled, intended just for bringing,
the Lord to His Home, most enchanting,
where walking is dancing, and talkng is singing.
There you will find the deepest love,
the greatest happiness and mirth,
for they are always deeply thinking of,
Lord Jagannatha, (Lord of the universe).
He is only seen by the purest love,
found in His Home of Vrindavana,
not by the selfish, foolish lust,
that sets this whole world throbbing.
Vrindavana is an all spiritual, dazzling land, unapproachable by materialistic fools,
it is the supreme eternal Kingdom of God,
beyond mundane logic and rules.
Lord Jagannatha never leaves this land,
of forest most fragrant and pleasing,
where the inhabitants love for Him,
is for ever and always increasing.
Lord Jagannatha or Govinda,
can always be found there moving,
playing sweetly on His Flute
in flowing waves of beauty.
Sometimes He appears to leave that land,
but infact He never does,
for those who always think of Him,
with the truest purest love.
This love is easily felt,
when at last our heart does melt,
by always chanting Krishna's Names,
we recieve the greatest help.
Numberless are His Names,
inconceivable is His Ways,
just holding all in place,
He deserves our constant praise,
