PRINT--PRINT--PRINT--PRINT
Now would be a good time to print.
I've kept all these instructions on one page so you can print it up to follow later as you play with your Pagebuilder images.
|
ARE YOU STILL WITH ME?
OK now, you have a page started.
You have that image in your scrapbook that you have to have in your email sig right now.
By now you have jumped ahead and hit your GOTO key while viewing your image and you have said to yourself:
%@#*& THIS AIN'T WORTH IT! The image has no URL.
Stop Jumping ahead and be patient. :-}
Go to your pagebuilder Index and click on "Add an Item"
Click on "Picture"
Click on "Scrapbook"
Click on the image you want.
Click on "View this Picture"
Your image should be the only thing on the screen.
Write down the info in the Message Bar on bottom of screen.
Should be something like "postedD38_gif"
Hit BACK
Put that image info in your large text box
changing the "_" to a dot(.)
postedD38_gif becomes postedD38.gif
Click DONE
Now Click on "Publish"
|
|
Every time you add images to your page you will need to PUBLISH your page again. This puts your image in memory.
|
|
Now comes the part you have been wating for:
GETTING THAT BLESSED URL!
If you do not have the "image info" by the image in your published page then:
Go to your scrapbook and click on that pretty picture again.
In the Message Bar on the bottom of you screen will be something like this:
postedD01_jpg
importD26_gif
Right this info down.
the "_" will become a dot.
(postedD01.jpg)
Get the idea?
Now comes the URL part!
Your page URL/scrapbookFiles/Pretty picture info
The URL is case sinsitive. "scrapbookFiles" must have a capital (upper case) "F" in it.
|
|
pagebuilder url / scrapbookFiles / image info
|
|
Notice the "F" in scrapbookFiles again.
The worst part about using scrapbook images is not being able to CCP the image URL.
One more note. Sometimes your pagebuilder URL may have a number after community:
http://community-2.webtv.net/....
You may need to delete the -2 in your URL for it to work.

|
~~ WAIT~~
I HAVE AN IMAGE IN MY PB SITE I TOOK OFF A CAMERA OR FROM THE VCR DIRECTLY ___IT'S NOT IN MY SCRAPBOOK
|
Can I get the URL of that image to use somewhere else?
Yes you can. It's really quite easy.
Tangerinegurl taught me this one!!
First make sure the page is PUBLISHED.
Go to your Pagebuilder Index
Click on the page with the image
Click on CHANGE PAGE
Click on the image you want
Click on VIEW THIS PICTURE
On the message bar on the bottom of the screen will be "captureD#".
The URL for this will be:
Pagebuilder URL/media/captureD#.jpg
NOTE: You have to put the ".jpg" on the end.
You are using the word "media" instead of "scrapbookFiles" in this case.
Again, remember the URL is case sensitive.
Here is an example.
http://community.webtv.net/Fletchroy/test/media/captureD0.jpg
It is the URL for the picture below:
(Sunset at Clearwater Beach, Florida)
|
REMEMBER.......
The image you want to use MUST be on a PUBLISHED page.
The URL of the image is CASE SENSITIVE. |
|
Remember you have to use HTML tags in you sig box for the images to show up in your email sig.
