Greetings and Welcome to the third installment of my scrapbook. This is a collection of people who have in one way inspired me magically musically or philosophically. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I enjoyed putting this together. Blessed Be: MerlinRavenSong )0( |
Marie LaVeau (1794-1881) |

There's much more to Voodoo than the stereotypical witch doctor fiendishly jabbing needles into dolls, and those who dreaded the wrath of a particular woman in old New Orleans would readily attest to that. The most prominent figure in the true history of Voodoo in America was Marie Laveau, the legendary "Voodoo Queen" feared and revered throughout 19th century Louisiana. The ancient rites of Voodoo -- along with a heaping helping of down-to-earth shrewdness -- propelled her to a profound level of influence among the common folk and the aristocratic gentry alike.

Bruce Lee (1940-1973) |
| Bruce Lee was one of the greatest martial artist of modern times. Bruce Lee was a man that could inspire anybody to achieve his or her greatest heights, in any field. With his tragic passing on July 20, 1973, he has left a legacy to all martial artists in saying that if you want it bad enough, you can get it. |
Alex Sanders (1926-1988) |
Alex Sanders was a English Witch who developed his own unique brand of Witchcraft known as Alexandrian. He was hailed himself to be "The King of the Witches". His background (he claimed) stemmed from an early initiation into the Craft by his Grandmother. Later he studied all the Occult arts including Ritual and Ceremonial Magic.
Sanders was tempted to misuse his power and gradually used his magical skills for personal gain amassing a great fortune. However after a sudden tragedy he reflected on his path, vowing to return to his original initiation and began cultivating a more benevolent system of Witchcraft. Alex Sanders died in 1988. He will always be remembered as an innovative leader who had carved a solid niche in the history of Witchcraft. |
