Luke LEATHERMAN of Oceanside bowled his very first 300 sanctioned game on 1 Feb 12 during the 800 Scratch Classic at Surf Bowl in Oceanside. We recently caught up with Luke for a short interview:
TTBN: Congratulations on your recent 300 game
Luke: Thanks, John! It was a great experience
TTBN: What ball did you use and who set it up for you?
Luke: I used a Storm Frantic set up by Andy Neeman at Bowlers Advantage in Vista
TTBN: What was your previous high game and what is your highest sactioned series?
Luke: My previous high game was a 279 with a personal best series of 741
TTBN: Whats your highest book average?
Luke: My highest book average ever is a 205
TTBN: When did you start bowling and where?
Luke: I started bowling as a youth in Michigan and bowled through high school and then picked it back up 5 years ago when I started bowling here at Surf Bowl in Oceanside.
I started bowling at Starlight Lanes in Grand Haven MI, my father got me into it as a kid and sometime around '84 I joined my first league.
TTBN: So Luke, how old are you?
Luke: I am 34 years old
TTBN: What leagues are you currently bowling?
Luke: I pretty much bowl just once a week at Surf Bowl in the 800 Scratch. I do go to Poway from time to time and participate in the King of the Hill on Sundays

Joseph CIPOLLINI of Vista not only bowled his very first 300 but achieved a great 814 series(his first as well) during the Vegas Friends League at the Vista Entertainment Center in Vista on 11 Nov 2011(11-11-11)

JOSEPH: Thank you very much!
TTBN: I know you are very pleased with the way you have been throwing the ball and your improvement in recent months show that the latest honor scores achieved are only the beginning
JOSEPH: Thanks for the kind words
TTBN: So when did bowling start for you and how old are you now?
JOSEPH: I have been bowling as long as I can remember, and am 29 years old
TTBN: What was your previous high sanctioned game and series
JOSEPH: A 299 game and a 753 series
TTBN: What ball did you use for your 300/814?
JOSEPH: I used the Storm Agent
TTBN: Who drilled and set up the ball?
JOSEPH: Monty Stratton of Bowlers Depot, Oceanside
TTBN: I know you cant remember when you started bowling but do you recall where?
JOSEPH: Yes, i do. I started bowling at Mountain View lanes in Pahrump, NV
TTBN: What is your highest book average ever?
JOSEPH: My highest book average ever is a 208. Currently i am averaging about 220 in the Vegas Friends league at the Vista Ent. Cntr.
TTBN: In addition to your Friday night league at Vista are you bowling anything else?
JOSEPH: Yes, I am bowling the Kegel Sport shot league at Mira Mesa lanes on Thursday

ANTHONY: Due to a hectic school and work schedule, I've been bowling on and off for 19 years. I am 31 years old.
TTBN: What was your previous high sanctioned game?
ANTHONY: 299
TTBN: How about your highest sanctioned series:
ANTHONY: 790
TTBN: What bowling ball did you use the other day in achieving your first perfecto?
ANTHONY: I used theRoto Grip Critical Theory

ANTHONY: Junior Depositar from Team Gear Pro Shop at Brunswick Premier Lanes in Chula Vista
TTBN: Do you remember where you started bowling and what year?
ANTHONY: My dad got me into the game around 1992 at Town & Country lanes.

ANTHONY: 210

Congratulations to Ryan C. REYES of Chula Vista who on 20 June 2011 earned his first sanctioned 300 game during the 600 Open Trios at Kearny Mesa Bowl in San Diego.
We recently caught up with Ryan and asked him a few questions
TTBN: Tracking the Bowling News would like to congratulate you on your recent 300 game
RYAN: Thank you very much
TTBN: So tell us, how does it feel rolling your first perfecto?
RYAN: It feels awesome!
TTBN: At what age and where did you begin your bowling?
RYAN: The first I ever bowled in a league was with my aunt a long time ago. I believe I was 11 or 12 years old, it was an adult/ junior league in Mira Mesa. But that was it, I was so involved in other sports I never bowled again till recently.
TTBN: When did you begin your adult bowling?
RYAN: Fall 2010 in the PBA Experience league at Mira Mesa this was my official back to bowling league. I had no idea what the league was about, except for it was late enough in the day that I could bowl after work. I was definitely in for a surprise.
TTBN: What was your highest sanctioned game before your 300?
RYAN: 257
TTBN: How about your highest sanctioned 3 game series?
TTBN: 655
TTBN: Your highest ever sanctioned book average of 21 games or more and year?
RYAN: 185 in 2010/ 11
TTBN: Ryan, what bowling ball did you use to roll your first 300 game the other day at Kearny?
RYAN: The Storm Victory Road
TTBN: Who drilled and layed out this particular ball?
RYAN: It was Teddy Turner at the Kearny Mesa

Congratulations goes to 21 year old BRIAN WHITE of Escondido who bowled his very first sanctioned 300 game on April 4th, 2011 at AMF Eagle Bowl in San Marcos
The 300 game was earned by Brian after his Mom and Dad gave him some helpful hints.
Brian used a Black Widow Sting ball to earn his perfecto
Brian started bowling when he was around 4 years old and began his Adult bowling at the age of 18. His bowling profile also includes a very nice 791 sanctioned scratch series
Brian has been steadily improving his game and will certainly be a force to be reckoned with in the coming months and years.
Brian's strong mental game coupled with his great sportsmanship qualities are attributes that are earning the respect of his fellow bowlers

We have just been notified that Kevin SHAKES of Fountain Valley rolled his very first sanctioned 300 game on February 11th, 2011 at Tustin Lanes during the T.G.I.F. league.
Kevin wanted to thank Cody MENDOZA for drilling up his Ebonite 250K ball which he used for the honor score. Cody works out of Champion Bowling Supply owned by Barry ASHER
Not very many bowlers achieve an 800 sanctioned score before delivering their first 300 sanctioned game but Kevin has done it twice in his career and now the 300 is finally on his profile
Kevin started bowling at age 8 at Tustin Lanes and his highest ever book average is a 222

Bob SNOW of Temecula bowled his very first 300 game during sanctioned league play on Thursday, 21 April, in the 640 Scratch Trios League held at Brunswick Cal Oaks Bowl in Murrieta, Ca.
His highest previously recorded high game had been a 299 about a month ago during sanctioned league play.
This time around, using his Virtual Gravity Nano weapon, he accomplished the feat.
Bob has been steadily improving his game and has recorded 200+ book averages the last six years.
Bob achieved his highest ever book average last year with a 217
Bob SNOW started bowling when he was 9 years old in Newport News, Va. at Fair Lanes in 1969
Bob always shows the highest degree of sportsmanship on and off the lanes and we would like to congratulate him on his achievement!!
