HISTORY and MEMBERSHIP

The Washington State Chapter was formed in 1988 in Seattle by members of the United States LST Association for the purpose of bringing members together within the state. Membership is now open to all Veterans who served on United States Amphibious Ships who would like to apply for membership and pay the required dues. The Washington State Chapter holds Annual Reunion Conventions and publishes a Quarterly Newsletter. Your membership and participation would Be Most Welcome and Appreciated!! USS NEW YORK LSD 21 IS NOW COMMISSIONED AND UNDERWAY

The Navy's Newest Amphibous Assault Ship, USS New York LPD 21, has already made history. It Was Built with 24 tons of scrap steel in her keel from the World Trade Center. The Ship's Motto: "NEVER FORGET"
