Things seem to be carrying on with the rabbit part of things over here. In trying to find out about the pub sign and the word CONEYGEARE, I chatted with a guy at work, knowing that he had the right kind of book to supply the answer, yet we drew a blank. He then suggested that I ask a young French woman, if she could help. She just happened to be there at the right time. English contains words from many languages, including French. The word meant nothing to her, but her curiosity was aroused. I've always tried to keep the "strange" part of things out of a conversation with a new person as it can really put them off--permanently! I explained the story to her, and my visit to the town on that weekend. Here We Go Again! Having finished my explaination, her first words were, "Oh! I live there, but I don't know where the pub is." She said she would look into it and ask the pub's landlord for an explaination. Of all the people I could have asked at work, I found just the right one, at a suggestion of a person who thinks this is all bunk. If I tried to point out to this chap that he had been used in a Synchronistic event, he would fall over laughing. The next day the woman and her husband, after walking around the town, found the pub sign, but not a pub! In the place where a pub should have been stands a kindergarten. The name of it was LILLIPUT. In other words the story of GULLIVER's TRAVELS has been laid out before us. In Gulliver's Travels, Gulliver goes to a place where he is a giant, Lilliput. In the next part of the story, he goes to a land of giants where he is a little person. With SPACE and the Alice In Wonderland story the large turns to the small and the small turns into the large. In this there is a tie-in between the two stories. Both are books for children, both have a change in the dimension aspect of the main occupant of the story. In both stories there are items or situations that are seen as wondrous! Now, after being told by a friend to see the movie "THE MATRIX," I have since seen it, for this is another tie-in. From the start of the movie there were knocks on the computer screen, followed by knocks on the door. The words, "FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT" are seen on the computer screen. When the door is opened there on a young girl's shoulder is a tattoed Whte Rabbit, which the guy follows! In this story, it has changed to an adult story, but the theme is the SAME! Three stories, all with the same theme, a change in perception. Two stories for children, perhaps "ITS" way of saying your intellects are childlike. The story The Matrix, however, is saying, "I can converse with you at your adult level." My sending to Egeln the three knocks from Whitley Strieber (1980's) and from Sir Thresham (1590's) is saying...through time. Egeln's getting three messages from one person on the phone, then getting the book at the time the guy rang is the same as the start of the film Matrix. "IT" knocked first and "IT" has introduced itself first!---with the Atlantic Ocean between me in England and SPACE in the States! .....GULLIVER IS ON HIS TRAVELS!!! It is as if we are having a chat with Something. The "IT" is backing up what I have been about. Each item linked, as if on a chai, to the others, with cross references by different, yet sympathetic stories: *** GULLIVER'S TRAVELS *** ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND *** and in the MATRIX!

SHAPES IN THE CLOUDS?

We are not seeing the shapes of rabbits in the clouds, looking for things that are not there. We are Way Beyond that.

Observers who have checked out this page who cautioned that there are pure, chance accidential coincidences, a fact that are well aware of. People see shapes of religious figures in a window or a humanoid face on another world, rallying the religious faithful or UFO believers to proof of divine or alien reality.

What we seem to be seeing here is a high degree of subtle evidence through persistent meaningful coincidences conveying a pattern of images, symbols and consistent reference points indicative of Something from Somewhere.

That words "coincidence" and "synchronicity" are words we are using for convienence sake, but another word, probably beyond language, may be more suited for what this all is. There are certainly signposts, at least.

Writer Chet Raymo in a new book, "Skeptics & True Believers" states that coincidence is the proof that UFO believers rally around, believing that coincidence constitutes proof. IT DOES NOT, necessarily. But it cannot be ignored as it seems to be telling us something, whether we like it or not, much as "UFO sighting reports" and "UFO abduction reports."

It is our job here TO REPORT our experiences, say a little bit of what MAY BE happening based on our own deeply personal and richly collective histories, and let those who look at this draw their own conclusions.

The quotes stated by the scientists above could be applied to our Breakthrough, which came as "A SURPRISE" and acts as "A MIRROR."

It appears we are being alerted by a subtle but gently persistent, determined deeper consciousness and highly alert super-sensitive intelligence looping through the implicit reality of the micro-realms into the explicit reality of the macro-realms in which our own sleepy lives, with their limitations that may disable or handicap us from realizing larger perceptions, are mostly lived.

We have Gulliver in large and small realms as Alice, in her Wonderland, experiences the small and large.

While some may rightly argue that we are making too much of too little, there is too much happening to make too little of it. There are persuasive patterns and extraordinary contexts at play here that cannot be ignored nor dismissed.

And as no firm conclusions can be drawn, letting the visitor here free float through space and time without a stable tether, we can remain sensitive and fully alert to what is being presented, and report our experiences as they happen, for now.

FOR EXAMPLE, THE "HARE IN THE MOON"

On October 7 I recieve an e-mail from a "consciousness researcher" and author who had just returned from England days before, and who was unaware of the happenings reported here.

A few days before, and before he opened the Autumn 2000 print SPACE EXPLORER newsletter with the Breakthrough information, he checks out and goes through his e-mail files and finds a communication from someone in Austria with two photos sent in the Spring, a man who has a group which checks into calendar changes and their significance. Now in my communicator's own words:

"What caught my eye was his sending me a ,jpg photo of the MOON (emphasis his) with markings of its crater arrangements that clearly outline a GIANT RABBIT or HARE -- not the Man in the Moon, but the Hare in the Moon --!! Along with reference to ancient folk tales that this is often seen associated with the Spring Equinox and is why Easter...as is Passover, is often represented by a Bunny...

"I almost deleted the e-mail and photo but a 'small voice' within that I've grown to respect and listen to told me, 'Wait, there's more. Keep these a few days and see.'

"Then, today, I read your SPACE Newsletter and it all jumped out at me... (he then said that he is sending me the e-mail and photos he referred to, as seen above). And NOW I will keep eyes and ears open for more 'Bunny Trails' that may hippity-hop along in OUR direction and keep you posted."

This researcher, by-the-way, continued the work of another researcher he was working with after her death many years ago. Information I learned about myself during a workshop 20 years ago with the late researcher was included in material I sent to Budd Hopkins in 1987 as I began my own personal delving into my experiences.

It, thus, appears to be a connection also made with my own experiences and contacting Hopkins.

A rabbit was said to inhabit the Moon as a reward for sacrificing his body to feed Buddha. Because the Moon is often linked with fertility, some cultures have identified the 'face' on the Moon as that of a rabbit, a hghly philoprogenitive species."

Shapes In The Moon?

Now, shapes in the clouds? Shapes in the Moon? What gave this extra milage was an e-mail I received six days later from a man who visited our website through Whitley Strieber's website, which made reference to the SPACE Group recently.

This individual, of course, had not seen the information you just read, as it is being posted now (Oct. 15). He relates a personal story which is significant to him and which he thinks has a connection to the information on this Page 8, keeping an open mind.

He relates an incident of a rabbit in a field when he was a pre-teen and what happened to the rabbit which disturbed him. He does not think about again until this past May and June, when the memory began imposing itself on him every day.

He found the SPACE site a few weeks ago and the references to rabbits here, and has a discussion with a friend, a confirmed skeptic, who refuses to look at this website.

Tired of the discussion, he decides just five minutes later to relax and play some music, which he rarely does at home but more often in his car. He choses the Pink Floyd CD, "The Dark Side of the MOON."

The first album track has the lyrics, "RUN RABBIT RUN," which did not hit him at first until the song ended, when it dawned on him, that just after a discussion of ET and Rabbit synchronicties, he, by chance, just happens to play this album of all that he could have played. He said that it was significant to him.

Then after reading his e-mail, the Pink Floyd album (one of my favorites) refers also to "the Dark Side of the MOON," and this just six days after the e-mail about the Full, Bright MOON and the imagined configuration of a Rabbit on it!

All just happenstance? Well, Maybe. But, then, maybe, and most likely, not..... This happens too much, too often, making universal and personal connections, the smaller and the arger pictures, like in Gulliver's Travels or the pill that Alce take in Wonderland.

"... synchronicities opening the floodgates of the deeper levels of consciousness" says the physicist, and the element "of surprise" at work says the scientist. Oh, What An Elegant Universe!

THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS INTO MIRROR WORLDS by Harold Egeln AND WHAT OF RABBITS? The symbolism of the rabbit re-occurs through several of the Breakthrough episodes, one of the threads in the suggested communication. Sitting in the Galaxy II Cafe on Ninth Avenue and West 46th Street in Manhattan the other day (6/25)), I was reminded by a friend that the rabbit represents fertility, as it is highly reproductive and is used as a symbol for Easter, the renewal of life. That friend, by-the-way, wanted to be called "Bunny" when as a child. Researchers in the UFO field, such as Budd Hopkins, David Jacobs and many others, often point to what they postulate is "the aliens" primary concern--their focus on human reproduction, as first illustrated by Betty Hill's "pregnancy test" from 1961 and in thousands of reports and studies since. So it makes sense that rabbits are connected to this, due to their well-know reproduction abilities. And let us remember Barney Hill's reference to feeling like "a scared rabbit" in fearfully reacting to the September 1961 incident. The UFO encounter phenomenon is replete with animal images, which ufologists believe may be screen memories, such as the prevelence of owls, deer, raccoons, cats, dogs and wloves in reports. Now enter the rabbit, an image that the mysterious intelligence behind the stage seems to be well-versed in using. **************** SYMBOLISM of THE HARE----- (from "A Dictionary of Symbols" by J.E. Cirlot, New York Philosophical Lobrary, Inc., pages 132-133) "In the Egyptian series of hieroglyphs, the hare is a determinative sign of defining the concept of being, and symbolic in consequence of elemental existence. "The Algonquin Indians, the Great Hare is the animal Demiurge. The myth was also known to the Egyptians. "In Greece the Lunar godess Hecate was associated with hares. The German equivalentof Hecate, the goddess Harek, was accompanied by hares. "In general, the hare is a symbol of procreation, it is ambivalent in that it may be considered as naturally a moral or moral....For Rabanis Maurus, it symbolized lasciuiousness and fecundity. "However, it had also become, by Gothic Times, an allegorical figure of fleetness amd of diligent service, for it is to be found on many Gothic sepulchres as an emblem in this particular sense---a sense subsididary to that outlined above. "A feminine character, is inseparable from the fundamental symbolization of the hare. Hence, it is not surprising to find that it was the second of the 12 emblems of the emperor of China, symbolic of the Yin Force in the Life of the Monarch. And the Chinese conceived of the hare as an animal of augury and it was said to live on the Moon." In a book about animal totems, the Great Rabbit is a scared teacher of skills, arts and crafts, representing the Great Mystery of Humanity...the spirit of thunder and lighting...a symbol of action, life and growth...In Chinese Years of the Rabbit, it is the luckiest animal of all. In another book about animal totems and symbolism, the Rabbit provided a way to enter "the underworld"---a myth that precedes Carroll's Alice In Wonderland tale by centuries. The underworld may be the deeper reality behind our visible reality. ************* It is through "the rabbit hole" not a "black hole" nor "wormhole" that both We and Alice enter Wonderland, that nonsensical Looking Glass World. *** *** *** NOW, WHAT OF WONDERLAND AND "MIRROR WORLDS"? "I Wonder whether the stars set alright in heaven so that one day each one of us may find their own star again...The stars,---what gives them their beauty is something that is invisible! And here is my secret! It is only through the heart that we can see rightly. What is essential is what is invisible to us...."-----The Little Prince speaking to the lost airman (From Antoine de Saint Expuery's THE LITTLE PRINCE.) Which takes us to the current issue of "New Scientist" (17 June 2000) published from England, with its cover story on "SIGNALS FROM A MIRROR WORLD--Can We Tune in to an Invisible Universe?" a theme which runs through the articles, highlighted by the article "Shadow Worlds" by Marcus Chown. The writer discusses new theories by physicists, which some of us in SPACE are aware of, awaiting scientific verification, that "we might be surrounded by mirror matter"..."whose particles "assemble into mirror stars and mirror planets---even mirror life." Looking glass worlds, once in the realm of fantasy, may be a reality that seems stranger than any fantasy or science fiction which can be created, the writer states. Scientists, through studies of the ephemeral orthopositroiums, protons and eletroncs orbiting without a nucleus as in atoms (even more ghostly than neutrinos, matter which is constantly passing through our planet as if it were a mist), may be able to detect the signature or signs of missing energy which would indicate a mirror reality that parrells our own reality, sharing our universe but just out of our sight. "But mirror particles would interact with ordinary only through gravity. Otherwise they would be essentially invisible to us--just as our Universe would be all but invisible to them," Chown writes. Perhaps the gravitional tugs on nearby stars, which has led to the discovery of other planets around those stars, even though they have not been directly observed, could also come from invisible mirror matter worlds, Chown writes, which would also be able to exert gravity influence on their stars. Here, I am reminded of my own experience in Bewster in May 1991 standing in the middle of invisible beings, (See SPACE's Contact Encounters Page) visible before I moved into their space, of what seemed to be heavy gravitional forces acting on me, with the G-forces making me sense that I was accelerating. Perhaps this was the tug of invisible matter from mirror life? Neutrinos, created by cosmic rays interacting with the upper atmosphere, may be changing rapidly into three types of neutrinos, but something is missing, scientists find,and some feel thay could be oscillating into a mirror reality. But scientists are looking more into another more likely candidates--the orthopositronium. Could all this be part of the postulated "mirror universe" with consciousness and intelligence utilizing its physics through engineering it or naturally living it, with minds which are intimately connected to the workings of a multiverse, perhaps. On that the Chesire Cat smiles broadly. But let it be noticed that the remarkable beings reported in visitation accounts seem to be able to easily pass through walls and other solid objects, as would nutrinos, for instance, even bring we who have these experiences through walls. Falling into an invisible matter universe, the "New Scientist" author concludes, would be "rather like falling down a Rabbit Hole," an image that comes up from the mostly hidden or invisible forces or intelligence that may be orchestrating the multiplying events described in "the Breakthrough" information. Also, note that the nonhuman beings and forces who may interface with us from the Mirror Worlds behave secretively, by nature or by intent, much like the Jinn of Islamic theology. Many ufologists may reject or dismiss what you read here as "pure speculation" and throw our rabbits back into a cocked hat, mainly because they feel that abductions, backed up by evidence of physical effects and implants, are at the central core of close encounters. THEY MAY REVIEW ONE ACT BUT IGNORE THE WHOLE PLAY. Most ufologists, to our regret and sincere dismay, with some fine exceptions, have given us Dead Silence as their answer to what is presented throughout Page 8. They want serious journalists to treat the subject with fairness, but when an experienced journalist, himself both an experiencer and barred by mainstream media from reporting UFOs, reports a series of extraordinary experiences, it is largely ignored. There seems to be a living theater at play here which hints at revelations more in the realm of science and on-the-edge physics, indicating the possible existence of a mirror life or, at least, life (of some highly developed consciousness able to think events, images and objects into our reality) that comes through mirror worlds to create the interaction we experience using our reality, with a science and technology beyond our means and comprehension. The dream of the ETs inside the mirrors that the woman had may be their communication of that through dream/sleep consciousness. Such a Hall of Mirrors was once at old Coney Island Amusement Park. Such are the further adventures of Alice through the Looking Glass. And through the science, so critical in understanding the close encounter mystery, ufology may be able to move from its current steady-state holding pattern to new understandings by looking at these group dynamics involving experiencers, WE WHO ARE the "Alices In Wonderland." Perhaps science and ufology can meet around the Rabbit Holes....on a beach in Coney Island, as the fictional SETI astronomer Ellie Arroway (from Carl Sagan's "Contact") was sent through the galaxy to a beach called Pensacola..... through the Looking Glass. ******************************************************

RABBIT HEATHER, EASTER AND "WHAT IS REAL?".....By Gary H, 22 August 2000.

While giving a talk at a UFO group conference there was a young woman in the audience who, from her body language, was "activated" by some of the things I had said. In the interval, she and her young man approached me to explain what to them was something very meaningful.

She expained that her mother was interested in and collected heather, that stuff that covers large areas of Scotland. She further explained that her own young daughter wanted to pick three pieces of a new bush that her grandmther had acquired. However, her grandmother would only let her pick two bits. It was explained to me that this particular heather was of a French origin and was called RABBIT heather; nothing strange here one would think.

The child's name was Pasha and that is the Hebrew word for Easter. So, we have, in a nutshell, Easter picking the Rabbit!

From the bits and pieces that I had talked about, this young woman seemed to be hit with this "coincidence" rather hard. She appears interested in the paranormal, also, and those strange things seen in the air, yet no one still knows what they are. For her, that very evening, it would appear that she had a "communication" of her own.

ALTON BARNES CHURCH RABBIT

I received a letter today, 22 August, from a woman who came to our own UFO group conference. Having explained all about the rabbity things that went on with her, she thought no more about it. She said that she was not looking for anything to do with rabbits at all, but was struck by "what just happened."

She and her husband, as well as their kids, are all UFO contactees. Coming to this conference was very meaningful to them all. Yet---if one were to look from the oustide In, it could be dismissed as yet another chance coincidence.

Why then is it that when it happens to people of the "in the subject kind," they "know" that it is out of the ordinary?" I maintain that this form of "communication" goes on with every one, but only from time to time. It is not a continuous thing at all.

They went into a church in Alton Barnes just to have a look at it, which many people do. Churches here go back many centuries and people like to look at the architecture and varios items within these old places. The very first thig the woman picked up was a small phamphlet sold to help church funds, usually for repairs. The very first thing she read has, once again, a rabbit in it.

It could have been a teddy bear, or a doll, or even a cat or a dog, but NO, A RABBIT. The woman wrote to me about what she saw right after entering St. John the Baptist Church. Note that the church's name is of the John that announced the coming of Christ! She opened the small magazine, causing her to be taken aback by what what she preceived it to be. it was called "Being Hurt" by Margery WILLIAMS (the famous author of "THE VELVETINE RABBIT"):

The story is about an old Skin Horse at a farm, who is asked a question by a rabbit. "WHAT IS REAL?" asked the Rabbit one day.

AGAIN the RABBIT asked "WHAT IS REAL?" this the self-same theme in Alice's Adventures In Wonderland and The Matrix movie....REALITY!

[NOTE by Harold Egeln: Also noticed that the Rabbit story in the church pamphlet was written by Margery WILLIAMS, (apparently an excerpt from "Te Velvetine Rabbit"?) another Alice In Wonderland connection, with Father William being in the Alice story, as Lorie Barnes noted when she met a real, true life Father Williams in a restaurant, and Director Walt Williams of ORS-SETV, the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Visitations!!!]

The next thing the couple did was to go to a odds and end shop. They noted a bead door curtain which they has seen a couple of weeks before, and asked the shopkeeper to see the curtain in full. A pattern appeared to be on it and an assistant hung the bead curtain over the only other curtain in the shop.

"As she did so, we felt the colour drain from our faces," the woman wrote Gary. "As clear as day a LARGE WHITE RABBIT was there." They bought the curtain.

The only other beaded curtain in the shop was a fish design. Seeing that this is used as a sign for Christ, may I note. To me, this shows how strong the rabbit curtain hit hem, totally overwhelming the "symbolism" of the other curtain.

In the "Being Hurt" article, this statement is made by the Skin Horse to the Rabbit: "That's why it doesn't often happen to people who break easily, orthat have sharp edges, or who have to be kept carefully."

As I have stated, it is THE TYPE OF MIND that picks up of this sort of thing and is contacted.

I got an e-mail from yet another French woman that I work with....I had it well before I gave the talk, so at this point there was not any connection with France other than the two people that I had asked about the word Coneygeare. I AM WELL AWARE THAT THERE IS A CONNECTION WITH THE SOUTH OF FRANCE, but it would seem that "IT" is, or at least it seems as though "IT" is trying to show us a pathway for anyone who is trying to look into this "communication." At the moment (as of Aug. 22) we have Rabbit Healer and a river that connects to France, called "Coney" in the east of France. There may well be more.

A Hunch---by Harold Egeln

The only connection I see with France now, as of September 1, is with the famous UFO researcher Jacques Vallee, the astrophysist and computer information scientist who authored several excellent books that examined the UFO phenomenon in all of its aspects, much as SPACE does.

He was born in France and moved to the United States in the 1960's and now lives in northern California. He has pretty much withdrawn from public discussion on close enounters, except for a talk at a John White "UFO Experience" Omega UFO Conference.

When Gary refers to "IT" seeming to show us "a pathway" for anyone who may look into this communication through a French connection, this may be it, possibly. It would be interesting to see how Jacques Vallee might view all this!

ACCESS DENIED!

When Egeln alerted the SPACE Mission Team about the Breakthrough, people on-line forming kind of a core group, Meryl J. had problems gaining access to page eight on the SPACE site, where this Breakthrough information is placed.

She was able to access all other pages without trouble.

Frustrated by the inability to access this page, she learned of developments through e-mail from Egeln and e-mails to the Mission Team, and was able to make her own contributions, such as "House Full of Rabbits."

To her consternation, she could not determine what the problem was. She felt that here was a reason of not gaining access. Then, after about two weeks of being blocked, she gained access.

In the second case, "M"---associated with SPACE for four years---called Egeln on the night of July 12, 2000, asking what SPACE was up to, He was unaware of the Breakthrough material, and when told about it, he said that it had not come up when he had accessed the SPACE Site, so he was unaware of it.

He asked Egeln if he or anyone he knew, had a copy of astronomer and ufologist Jacques Vallee's 1979 book, "Messengers of Deception," since he urgently wanted to check something in it. He tried to call Egeln back about 90 minutes later, but he was out for a late evening neighborhood walk.

When "M" called Egeln the next night, July 13, he told him that he had his own "WOW!" after talking with Egeln the night before.

He was able to bring-up the Breakthrough Page, after being previously blocked. When he looked at this page, the precise answer he sought from Vallee's book was contained, to his amazement and surprise, in the context of SPACE Breakthrough material, which made no reference to Vallee, but was about one of his concepts.

It's like a Men-In-Black type thing, "M" told Egeln, as if he was being deliberately blocked from the page until now. He then proceeded to quote what he wrote from Vallee's book when he has seen it and read parts of it at another person's place.

The Breakthrough material related directly to his question, the dynamic between matter and the psyche or consciousness, the process of "making associations" and learning patterns of relationships with those associations.

Here is the quote from "Messengers of Deception" to which "M" referred:

"If the world around us is a world of informational events, the symbolic manifestations that surround UFO reports should be viewed as a fact of tremendous magnitude.

"If we consider the physical world to be an associative universe of such informational events, consciousness is no longer simply a function which is local to the human brain.

"Instead, consciousness should be defined as the process by which informational associations are retrieved and traversed.

"The illusion of time and space would be merely a side effect of consciousness as it traverses associations...."

"SOMETHING"
An E-Mail from Meryl J, July 14...

"(Something) is introducing us to aspects of what is really 'real' about how life in the universe can actually function. We've always been able to function this way but we don't know it.

"And 'Something' is doing its best to make us know this, so it can communicate with us... 'Something' is trying to tell us what they are and who they are.

THE WHITE RABBIT'S QUEST, AT A THEATER

After seeing the light-hearted sci-fi movie spoof called "Galaxy Quest" with friends on the night of September 6, Gary H. was let down that the movie had no connection with the Breakthrough Contact. When looking for associations and patterns, they do not pop up; they come like a bolt out of the blue.

A friend, who has no interest in the Breakthrough and who is unaware of the chain of connections involved, suggested that Gary checkout the movie theatre's brochure of scheduled films.

As he did so, an advertisement slid across the brochures, resting directly upon them, in which the one-day only showing of "Galaxy Quest" was listed.

As Gary H. began placing the advertisement that slid across the brochures back into its place, he glanced to see what it was for. It was for a movie version of ALICE IN WONDERLAND, the very ad you see on this page!!!

The cartoon ad was not showing Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Queen, but showed the WHITE RABBIT, who looks stressed, is perspiring and in a Great Hurry, glancing at his large pocket watch, with the Cheshire Cat watching the Rabbit.

"It would be pointless trying to describe how I felt!!!!!!" wrote Gary to Harold the next night (Sept, 7). "Since last evening I have been filled with a sense of urgency."

The Contact and Communication is real. It is real to us who experience this, although those outside our experience may not understand that.

It is deliberate, intentful and persistent, backing itself up through a repeating PATTERN of reinforcement all along the way, somewhat like a learning and conditioning technique.

With this Contact situation, instead of a spaceship landing or an intelligent radio signal from another world, we get, unexpectedly, suddenly and unpredictedly, in this latest episode, Alice In Wonderland with the White Rabbit at a British movie theatre, sliding together, all done in a very theatrical manner, its otherworldly playwrites still unknown!

We are forced, whether we like it or not, to think, to search and to explore, to beyond the mental envelop which limits our perceptions.

RABBITS, RABBITS EVERYWERE...IS THIS GOOD MEDICINE? In the Native American tradition all of our fellow creatures who inhabit this Earth with us possess a type of medicine. Medicine refers to anything that brings one into Communion with the Creator. If it is bad medicine it will bring a negative influence into our life. We believe that our fellow creatures exhibit certain patterns of behavior that exist to teach us lessons on how to live. Each animal has been assigned a lesson in nature. We say that each lesson has the power of that medicine. Our goal is to be drawn into harmony by that creature's medicine. We hope to learn through that medicine. The lessons learned are eternal truths. Being a Medicine Woman, I have been involved with the Good Medicine Society in Arkansas for 11 years. Recent events have peaked my curiosity. It was with great interest that I have been following the on-going Rabbit Saga. It initially seemed strange that "Spacers" where counting Rabbits instead of Sheep?! Certainly, I was startled one night when I drove under mycarport. When my motion detective lights went on their there stood two rabbits! As tough frozen, they gazed back at me! This became an early morning and nightly thing. Eventually a neighbor told me that he believed they were raising their family under my house! Depending on the tradition, there are several interpretations to Rabbit Medicine. If we want to know the medicine of any animal we need only observe them in Nature. then we may apply these teachings to our own life. I would like to share with you a poem andstory about Rabbit from "Medicine Cards" by Jamie Sarns and David Carson (Bear & Company, publisher) *** *** *** Scared little Rabbit... Please drop your fright! Running doesn't stop the pain, Or turn the dark to light. A long time ago -- no one really knows how long ago it was -- Rabbit was a brave and fearless warrior. Rabbit was befriended by Eye Walker, a witch. The witch and Rabbit spent much time together sharing and talking. The two were very close. One day Eye Walker and Rabbit were walking along and they sat down on the trail to rest. Rabbit said, "I'm thirsty." Eye Walker picked up a leaf, blew on it and then handed Rabbit a gourd of water. Rabbit drunk the water but didn't say anything. Then Rabbit said, "I'm hungry." Eye walker picked up a stone and blew on it and changed it into a turnip. She gave the turnip to the Rabbit to eat. Rabbit tasted it and then ate the turnip. But still Rabbit didn't say anything. The two continued along the trail, which led into the mountains. Near the top Rabbit tripped and fell and rolled almost to the bottom. Rabbit was in very sad condition when Eye Walker got to him. She used a magic salve on Rabbit to heal his great pain and mend his broken bones. Rabbit didn't say anything. Several days later Eye Walker went searching for her friend. She searched high and low, but Rabbit was nowhere to be found. Finally, Eye Walker gave up. She met Rabbit quite by accident one day. "Rabbit, why are you hiding and avoiding me? the witch asked. "Because I am afraid of you. I am afraid of Magic," answered the Rabbit cowering. "Leave me alone!" "I see," said Eye Walker. "I have used my magical powers on your behalf and now you turn on me and refuse my friendship." "I want nothing more to do with you or your powers," Rabbit sountered. Rabbit did not even see the tears his eyes were bringing to Eye Walker's eyes. "I hope we never meet and that I never see you again," Rabbit continued. "Rabbit," Eye Walker said. "We once were great friends and companions, but no more. It is within my power to destroy you, but because of the past and the medicines that we have shared together, I will not do this. But from this day forward I lay a curse on you and your tribe. From now on, you will call your fears and your fears will come to you. So now Rabbit is the Fear Caller." *** *** *** We have witnessed in Nature when Rabbit is stalked it gets paralyzed. What is Rabbit telling us? Should we STOP and take a rest n order to re-evaluate the internal process that we each personally go through? Do we need to rearrange the way that we view our present set of circumstances? Many abductees have gone underground for years now. Should we retreat to nurture ourselves and cast our fear aside? What is the fear and where s it coming from? Do we fear the loss of support from the professionals and researchers who in the past have helped us validate our experiences? Perhaps it is now time for Self-Vallidation. Do we fear being deserted by individuals who are growing bored with this never-ending labyrinth of synchroicity? Knowing the "short attention span" of humans this could have easily been predicted. THE VERY NATURE OF OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH "THE VISITORS" IS ABOUT TO CHANGE. This I can personally promise you. I have been with SPACE from the start. I have observed many changes in he movement. In many quarters abductees themselves are taking on a very rebellious nature. What has been fueling this change? IT IS FEAR. Humankind has a long, brutal history of barbaric, ugly behaviour when.... humanity fears. When the smoke clears, the groupies and researchers will be gone and the players will be clearly seen. Don't be dismayed over the lack of players on the field. We were told (by some researchers) that we should keep this (the "Breakthrough" material) to ourselves and I agree with that. After all, this was never about them, the researchers. Remember the story of Eye Walker. Let us face our fears, each man and woman for themselves. Roberta and Gary were not in touch. In fact, Gary received his Rabbit Magic material independently from a gentleman in his country, identified as Colin F., who thought it might be helpful in understanding the symbolism of the rabbit throughout these episodes. "Harold, it has hit me rather hard that I sent to you the article about Rabbit Medicine...and YOU THEN RECEIVE THE VERY SAME INFORMATION from someone in your own group," wrote Gary H. to Egeln on September 1. "I am sure you are also aware of the DEPTH of the MEANING of this communication. I am no good at working out statistics, but it must be worse odds than winning the lottery." ******************************************** CRYSTAL CLEAR TO ME! by Gary H., 22 August 2000 Harold, I don't know how you are seeing all of this, but like that crystal rabbit on a chain that started all of this, everything is becoming CRYSTAL CLEAR TO ME! (Here Gary is referring to the rabbit chain found mysteriously in the apartment by the man who became fearful, and angry, after the Hudson Valley contact of July 1993, as unseen entities walked towards us, which involved a British group led by Colin Andrews in tandem fieldwork at Stonehenge.--Harold Egeln) You can see how it fits the guy who found the crystal rabbit on a chain and the people in the wings, so to speak.....FEAR!! It should be clear that All of this IS A COMMUNICATION----and it is aimed at SETV (the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Visitations---the scientific organization that brings SETI closer to home by searching for ETI probes in the solar system or near Earth, which unknowingly just happened to contact SPACE on the day of the Breakthrough WOW). "IT" knows that SETV is searching. "IT" knows where the right connections are. "IT" has made contact with us and is also trying to contact others, and "IT" is also trying to make contact with SETV! Whatever "IT" is, it is FULLY AWARE of things both this side and on your side of the Atlantic Ocean. "IT" has made a connection as good as a connection as "IT" can. "IT" can see a short cut and a way to achieve the goal for both sides, in the best way it can. And without the burnout nor harm to anyone, but it is hard when it seems to come from one side only. "IT" is waiting for someone to hold their hand out, too. BUT it is the FEAR OF THE RABBIT, the fear represented by the rabbit, that can prevent this, and "IT" is trying to say that this is "ITs" way. "IT" is also trying t say how to overcome the situation! Hence, the MAGIC part of this little trick! I find it INCREDIBLY that "IT" should make a connection of this sort with such a great milage between us!? Still, "IT" must have a reason, because you are getting answers that fit the hole you have----"IT" is ONCE AGAIN BACKING ITSELF UP!! I have the feelng that you, Harold, and I are like TRANSISTORS! We are the base in our respective countries, the USA and England. We both COLLECT information and we both transmit it to others, just like a transistor! All of us in this phenomenon are like components in an electrical circuit! Some people are TRANSFORMERS in that they transform information or ideas from a lower to a higher level, or a higher to a lower one. Some people are RESISTORS as they resist change and new ideas. Some people are ike DIODES, as they only let information, or points of view, go in one direction, for Good or Bad. So it would seem that whatever "IT" is, it is tuning a circuit for "It's" signals. SURE BEATS A RADIO TELESCOPE, DOESN'T IT! ********************************************************

WHO ARE YOU? ARE YOU THE RABBIT?

Betty and Barney Hill were the first UFO "abductees" to receive media publicity in the ground-breaking 1966 book "Interrupted Journey" by investigative journalist John Fuller. The book was serialzed in Look magazine in 1966.

The Hills, bothered by disturbing dreams and persistent anxiety related to a UFO sighting by Indian Head in New Hampshire on September 19, 1961 sought out Dr. Benjamin Simon, and the first "UFO abduction" case surfaced in the public eye.

A 1975 made-for-TV movie, "The UFO Incident" starring Estelle Parsons as Betty Hill and James Earl Jones as Barney Hill, recreated their mysterious ordeal and their search for truth with Dr. Simon.

In the book Barney Hill, remembering his emotions on being caught and kidnapped by unusual beings suddenly said, while under hypnosis by Dr. Simon:

I FEEL LIKE A RABBIT. I FEEL LIKE A RABBIT. DOCTOR: What do you mean by that? BARNEY: (Bareny recalls a scene from his earlier days, a scene that flashed through his mind as he stood in that dark field in Indian Head, an example of reminiscent recall showing the presistent impact of earlier experience on the present when similar in emotional significance,) I was hunting for rabbits in Virginia. And this cute little bunny went into a bush that was not very big. My cousin Marge was on one side of the bush, and I was on the other---with a hat. And the poor little bunny thought he was safe. And it tickled me, because he was just hiding behind a little stalk, which meant security to him.---then I pounced on him and threw my hat on him, and captured the poor little bunny, who thought he was safe. (Pauses a moment in quite reflection.) Funny I thought of that---right out there on the field. (Repeats the phrase, as it to himself.) I feel like that rabbit. ********************************** (OUR NOTE: Later in the session Barney was fixated on the eyes of the beings which were "talking" to him, and then muses that the eyes are of "A wildcat up a tree." As he searches for "an explaination for an imponderable phenomenon," Dr. Simon writes, "he is not so sure" about what he sees.) BARNEY: No. No. I know what it is. It's the Cheshire cat in ALICE IN WONDERLAND. Ah, I don't have to be afraid of that. It disappeared too, and only the eyes remained. That's all right. AH-AH!!! It appears that the Rabbit archetype given to us is about we, the humans, and not so much about the unknown beings who interface with us or any other motif. Maybe. It seems that the Mysterious Otherworldly Intelligence orchestrating the Rabbit related Breakthrough episodes has made a consciously deliberate, intentful specific connection to the first investigated "UFO abduction and missing time" case to alert us --- SPACE, close encounter researchers, scientists, experiencers and others --- to their own reality, to the nature of that otherworldly reality, to the reality of this Contact, and, it appears, to Communicate to and Converse with others through this Contact. Are we being led into places where angels fear to tread or where angels sing? Are we fools, rushing in, and deceiving ourselves into giving meaning and credence to something that may have no significance at all? Do other UFO researchers regard this as laughing stock material and have we lost our cedibility in exploring this -- this which has come to us unexpectedly? Or do we have a right to explore risky new areas and extend our innate human curiosity into unexplored realms of thought and subtle experience? Truth is, many are ignoring this and have shunned us for reporting all this, while others see this as a huge thinking and learning exercise. What will come, as this continues, may reveal how stupid or intelligent we are to be examing this.
