Romantic Love Poems by Eve Adam, a.k.a. Harmonic Eve

Reaching Heights and Falling Short

Remembering
by Eve Adam, a.k.a. Harmonic Eve

I bask in the warmth of your passionate self,
Yet YOU can not be here.
I feel each tender caress that I knew
In a very different year.
I remember the words you once said to me
And then I release all fear.

So real and so near you are to me,
That time can not erase
The you I knew when once we spoke;
Still, I imagine your embrace.
How could I ever find anyone else
To fill my heart in your place?

Eve Adam, a.k.a. Harmonic Eve

Note: There is a tamer, less steamy version of this poem (with a slightly modified title) on page 17 of the site "Harmonic Eve Extras." The tamer version implies a loved one is "gone" but the nature of the relationship is more like friendship or love for a family member.
